You always see at Family Dollar and Dollar General Stores the inventory that they can't put away because of poor MNG. Not at this location. This Family Dollar is always spotless and the staff is helpful and nice. It says ALOT about the small town values of people and how it's not only with there personal life but everything they do.

This store is fine. It has been known to close early at times so if it's close to closing and it truly matters to you if they are open or not, then you may want to call and make sure they are still open and plan to be until close. Otherwise I have not had any issues with this store.

I have never in my life had a store that refused to honor posted prices. When items rang up at a different price, the employee looked at the posted tags and claimed that the sale doesn’t start until tomorrow. If a sale is not active there is no excuse for there to be a sign posted about it.Edit 9/2020 - This store continues to disappoint. Despite many signs around the store and stop signs at the front doors, the employees and customers of this store refuse to wear proper masks. Every time I have entered the store recently they have either not been wearing any masks at all or have them hanging around their chin or ear, not covering anything that is important. I get it. Masks can get uncomfortable. I have to wear one all day at work too, and sometimes you need a break from it for a minute. But the brazen attitude shown by this store has made it loose my family's business, we will have to go the other way down the road to pekin to Dollar General.

Very clean, organized store. Polite, friendly employees. Prices have gone up quite a bit over all especially on laundry/basic cleaning items. Enough to make me go elsewhere.

Why are they NEVER open at 9am when their posted hours indicate?! Once they do open their selections could be better. Some of the staff are nice but most leave something to desire for sure. Personally I’ll just keep driving till I get to Pekin dollar general.

The male manager is the rudest person I've ever dealt with in the sense of customer service. The store is disheveled. They have nothing in stock. I try hard to avoid this place as I get in a bad mood every sing time I leave. Seriously, get a different job if you hate people so much.

There are a coupleasure of employees that work there that act like they hate their job and working with people very rude . They would rather go out front an smoke or talk on the phone. An don't even think about asking for help cause you will not get it. You can stand at the register for a long time until you get checked out. An I'm not being mean or trying to insult anyone but I believe their weight gas some what to do with their work ethics (lazy). I have never felt so horrible from any store until now. An I have lived in Borden my entire life an there is alot of people talking about that store an those people! I will drive a fit her distance than go there evendors though it is closer but no NOPE I'M DONE WITH THAT STORE. I WILL PAY FOR MORE GAS AND DRIVE A FURTHER DISTANCE INSTEAD OF THAT FAMILY DOLLAR!!!

If you need a quick shop to pick up some basic necessities then you can find it here. If you don't want to make a long drive into town then stop here. They have food, cleaning supplies, clothes, household products, stationary, greeting cards, batteries, phone accessories, and plenty more.

I had a horrible experience with the "manager" with scars on her face. When confronted with a price discrepancy, she informed me she knew what was on sale and she didn't need to go look at the tag. This is not the best way to do business in a small town.

Went in there to get a few things and a snow shovel to shovel my driveway off . it's convenient for me . it's right in town . they usually have most ov evening anyone needs

What a shame that the Borden store has gone from well stocked and organized to empty shelves, extreme disorganization, dirty floors(split bag of sugar broomed against the milk cooler) and boxes sitting everywhere.

Just little messed up but the young girl waiting on me was very friendly.Their clothes were everywhere hard tell sizes and clearance .Rest store was pretty neat
