I'm wring this review as a customer of this dealership since 2018. I purchased a new car in 2018, and their service at that time was great. Nothing to complain. I used their maintenance service until 2022. They explained every single item of the service very clearly, fair price, and gave me honest and genuine advice based on my car's conditions instead of some universal checklist. They are still the best service I have ever used (compared to other two different dealerships I used in the midwest). They were thorough and responsive when I was preparing paperwork to ship my car to another country this year. Super helpful. I've recommend this dealership to my friends.

I looked up to Royal until I decided to buy a car from them. I bought a used car and was so happy and excited only to have it over heat on me, not even a month later. So I take it back and they put me in a different vehicle that tripled in price and payment, and it starts overheating in four months. They said this one came with a two year warranty and it did not. So here I am with a 36.000 vehicle that is worth 17,000, the 4,000 I gave them, down the drain and having to put thousands in it to fix it.Hope no one else has to go through it.

Beautiful dealership, great customer lounge with plenty of snacks and beverages while you wait and even better customer service. This is my first time owning a VW and dealing with a Royal has been a breath of fresh air compared to my trouble with another dealership in town. I was informed of everything, every step of the way, even just for a service! Every customer there was handled with care and everyone was so polite! And best yet, nobody tried to sell me something I didn’t need! Highly recommended!

Had to get my car's 48k maintenance done and a broken seat fixed and a software update to the computer. They were willing to rent me a car because my repairs were going to take all day. It worked out really well I was very happy with the service and fortunately my repairs fell under the extended warranty instead of having to pay $1,000 I only paid $100 deductible.

Royal treats their customers with respect and honesty. Came in for routine service on my GLI and couldn't be happier. The vehicle was washed and they performed a free inspection with the service (All on a routine oil change!!) Couldn't be happier with the service I received!

Took my car in and within a few hours they found my coolant leak, got ahold of me with my options, and had the parts ordered once I decided what to do. Once the parts got in, my car was done that day! Excellent service and communication

I bought my car here and 2012 and have had 95% of the service done here. On different occasions I have found 1) technicians attempted to upsell unnecessary service 2) technicians did not completely reinstall pieces they removed to do inspectionsSince the car is older and service, prices at this dealership are high, I will do minor repairs myself.

The service department is great. Very nice and very fast. My only reason for not going 5 stars is because while I waited I could hear the receptionist (blonde hair) on a private call. I could see she had her earbuds in and she was dropping f bombs loudly. She was cussing up a storm and it seemed she was in an argument with someone. I was there for about 2 hours and half that time she was on that call. She would pause when a customer came up then went right back to her call. I'm a cusser but I've worked at a dealership and I understand how easily customers can turn on a business.

I’ve been happy with the sales team with our purchases in the past. I’m a little frustrated with the service department, as now it seems I have to either schedule a oil change a month in advance, or try and fit in a walk-in between eight and four? I work for a living, And like most people it’s 8-5. That’s really frustrating.

I never imagined I’d be buying a brand new car, but here we stand and she is a beaut. And all I can say is I’m a raving fan of Royal on the Eastside and their staff now.Josh Bings and Jared Mann made the process low-key, low pressure, and high quality all while joking around with me and smiling the entire time. It was the least stressful car buying experience I’ve ever had (including shopping online!), and I couldn’t hype them up more. 🙌🙌Looking forward to working with y’all for years to come!

After three disappointing experiences with dealerships in Bloomington, I was beginning to think I would not be able to find a car. Luckily the fourth try was at Royal East. We walked in the door to be greeted by Mike Inman, who set us up with exactly what I've been hoping for. He was respectful, professional and knowledgeable. They didn't have the car in the color we wanted, so he secured a trade with another dealership in Indiana. From start to finish, he made the process incredibly easy and we were treated like royalty. In the detail shop, Isaac took careful attention to make sure it was perfect before we brought home our Volkswagen ID.4. I'm so relieved that we have a car we love and that it will now be serviced at this dealership going forward.

I love Royal on the East side in Bloomington. If I am treated fairly I will remain loyal to a business. They are OUTSTANDING and I will continue to go to them for everything I need to keep my 2019 Jetta S up to date on all maintenance. They really have taken care of me.

I drove over an hour for a Honda accord i found online. My sales man was very nice, helped me out with replacing 2 tires and fixing a rim… then not even 2 weeks later my car wouldn’t start and they said i needed a new battery. The new battery would cost me $285 they said, and when i spoke to the salesman he was very rude this time around and said he already did me a favor by FIXING the messed up tires and rim. Not even having the vehicle for 2 weeks and the battery needing replaced is just not okay / good customer care for me.. it should’ve been replaced for free. The service department here is awful, unorganized & rude staff. They are only nice when trying to sell you something. I wouldn’t recommend.

Fast, friendly service. Went in for an oil change and although they did let me know that my brakes need service, they didn't aggressively push for this or any other work other than the oil change I went in for. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Love the drive in bay for the service dept. for when it's hot outside. Great waiting/lounge area with free drinks and snacks, comfortable seating, a VW battery set up as a multi device charging station for charging nearly any device, and a television. Cool cars to look at on the showroom floor, including the new 2022 Audi E-Tron all electric SUV. Plus, clean bathroom. A+

They were very knowledgeable about the car I was buying, and went above and beyond to help me though the experience. If they are any indication of the rest of the sales force at Royal, then Royal on the Eastside has to be the best dealership in Bloomington.

Needed to get a recall fixed on my Subaru Outback. I was quoted a 3-4 hour wait over the phone. Actually only took 2 and a half. They gave us a ride to the mall. We decided to walk back and check out the cars on the lot. A very friendly salesperson approached us and we let him know our car was in the service department. He was very nice. The men we saw at the service desk were very nice, respectful and helpful. The waiting area was clean warm and welcoming. I will definitely be using them in the future. Told me I have a weak battery. I’ll probably shop around for my battery though because damn are they pricey lolOh and they washed my car. That was just perfect. The shop I got my motorcycle from won’t even do that.

I have purchased two vehicles from Royal now and both experiences were awesome. No pressure, fair prices and fair/good trade in prices. Each time I went, I found what I wanted and after making the leap to buy, was in and out in 30-45 minutes. No head games here like at other dealerships. They will let you take the vehicle out to run errands or whatever you need to give it a good long test drive and make sure it's definitely what you want. They don't pressure for financing like other dealers, cash is just as good! Cars are perfect inside when you pick up, cleaned thoroughly! They didn't worry about my dog hair lined trade in and told me not to bother trying to clean it, they would! There was a crack in the window with the second vehicle I purchased and before I even noticed it, they had already set up the appointment for me to get a new windshield on them. I won't go anywhere else and will recommend no one else.

This is not the first time we have used Royal on the Eastside for our purchase of cars! And every time they have been exceptional. This is however, our first time we have dealt with Jordan Phillips. Our other salesman is no longer there. Jordan helped our son with the purchase of his new Outback & he was so impressed with him that he suggested we talk to him. We liked Jordan from the start. I have worked with the Royal East staff for years and purchased several cars there, some new some used they are always great to work with and you can tell they strive to serve their customers. Ryan Smiley has been my salesman and contact there since I’ve been a customer and he has been fantastic. He will tell it to you strait with no games and work with people as best he can to make sure everyone is happy with a fair deal. The best part about Ryan and the East Side crew is their accessibility. I can text him at 10pm about a new car I see on the website and I’ll get a response. Personal attentiveness is very important to me and he has never disappointed! I’ve sent friends and family there and they have all been satisfied as well!
