Revolution Bike & Bean is the best shop in Bloomington! Every time I walk through the doors I am greeted with a smile. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and also very quick. The store has all of the products that a cyclist could ask for! I know that whenever I take my bike to Revolution Bike & Bean I’m going to receive A+ service and everything will be done at an honest price. Fantastic job to all of the staff at Revolution, keep up the great work!

Son got a flat and we came into the shop 45 mins before closing on a Saturday and they got it on the rack quickly and repaired in 20 mins for a reasonable price.

This place is awesome! Just getting back into biking after a while and I couldn’t have picked a better place. The employee there was very knowledgeable and helped me narrow in on a model that’s right for me. The bikes are more expensive than the stuff you’d find at say, Walmart or Target, sure — but I don’t mind paying a little more for quality. Oh, and they do repairs, too. Just a great shop. I’ll come back for sure.

Don and his staff are top notch people to work with! Experts in all things bicycle, and great people to boot. We've now purchased three new bikes from the shop (all Specialized) and have always been treated wonderfully. The staff shares their expertise and opinions without making us feel dumb (we are a normal family with very little bike expertise). We've also had multiple older bikes serviced at the shop and again had a wonderful experience each time. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new bike, or if you just need a tune up on your existing ride.

This place slaps. I'm kind of an idiot and am always breaking my bike in one way or another, and they are always helping me tune up my breaks or any other fixes while showing me how to do it myself when I ask questions. I especially love how they never look down on me and meet me on my level of "how do I get this thing to move forward" with absolutely no judgement.

Great shop and wonderful customer service! We popped in to browse some bikes and the staff was kind and answered all of our questions. We never felt rushed - instead the staff was very friendly. We were also able to find an appropriate fit on a helmet for our son (child's size), so that was a plus too! It's so nice to have such a sweet local bike shop in town - it's one of the things that makes Bloomington special!

Best shop in town!! Friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff! Great service every time! Great selection of bikes! Staff willing to take the time to teach you about what type of bike is best for you and why it suits your riding style. They carry the same mentality for servicing bicycles as well and are more than happy to explain what repairs need to take place at that moment and what repairs should take place soon. You can tell the owner cares about the people who come in to the store.

Excellent shop and excellent mechanics. I've been a rider for 30+ years and worked in many bike shops and know when bike shops are run properly and in business for the right reasons and this one rises to the top. I've been a customer for years but recently had a super technical issue with my rear derailleur not working 100% dead on accurate and was making an ever so slight noise that was bugging me. It was so minimal that many wouldn't notice it but it was bugging me and I knew it wasn't quite right. The mechanic went to crazy lengths to isolate the problem and then solve it. Far and above what I expected. Great shop and people.

This store was great at helping me pick a new bike when I purchased my diverge roughly two years ago and the staff is always extremely friendly. I recently had a tune-up/repair service done on my bike. On my second ride after I find I have flat partway through my ride, I suspect in part due to the missing stem cap and open presta valve on the freshly replaced inner tube that I had not thought to inspect upon receiving it. Even after a chain and shifting cable replacement, it still tries to jump gears mid stroke. It just feels like the service was half finished, and I'm out $150. Perhaps try a different shop for repairs.

In the area riding and broke a spoke. They were kind enough to take care of me on the spot (only 10 minutes). Excellent customer service and friendly staff. Very well stocked bike shop. Highly recommend!

Went into the shop today to purchace some valve stem adapters. The staff was very knowledgeable. They were able to answer any questions i may have had. They showed me around the shop and spoke to me about a few bikes they had for sale. Great customer service!

I love Rev Bike & Bean. They did a tuneup on my road bike and it came back feeling like a brand new machine. They told me what the price was going to be before I agreed to the tuneup and stuck with that once it was done. It only took them a few days to get it done and they went over everything that they did and why they did it. A few month's later my shifting was getting a little clickety clackity and they adjusted my derailleur at no charge. Great customer service. Great people. Great bike service. I'll pay a little more to get my tubes and tape from Bike & Bean just because I love the place.

The Shop looks nice and is fairly easy to navigate. The employees are nice and helpful. I couldn't bring my self to spend double what other places charged and they were vary understanding of that. Hope they last since we're losseing local bike shops pretty fast.

Ever since I started cycling, Revolution has been my go-to bike shop. They are immensely helpful and really seek to serve the Bloomington community. Whether it's workshops, participation at a local event, or weekly group rides, I've seen the owner and staff give a lot back to the people around them. They often walk people through the work their bikes need; education like this promotes a safer (and less expensive) experience for the customer in the long term. I always leave the shop with more knowledge than before. If you are apprehensive about the sometimes intimidating atmosphere of a bike shop, then try this one, and I bet your experience will be a good one. They are patient and kind and listen to their customers.

Came in looking to order a replacement headset for my 2015 specialized rockhopper sport. I expected to be paying upwards of $50 but when I showed one of the guys there the damaged part of the headset he ran back behind the counter and found a replacement for $2.00! Incredible. When I choose to go to Revolution Bike and Bean I know I'm going to get great service on and off the bike. A few times a week I swing in to the shop on my lunch break for a coffee and am treated with warm conversation and stories from the staff.When it comes to on the bike service, I could ask for a better experience. I love my bike and only use bicycling as my source of transportation. Revolution bike and bean always gets me going again no matter their situation. They truly understand what it means to be a cyclist.Out of the shop, I can count on their staff engaging in the cycling community and riding their bicycles. I see Don and many of his staff members riding their bike on and off road multiple times a week. I couldn't urge anyone more to come check this awesome place out!

I needed an empty bike box. A nearby shop had an empty box sitting in their shop and wanted to charge me $20. Stopped by Revolution and the guys kindly unpacked a bike so I could have the carton to ship my bike in. Excellent service, will have my future business.

I can't recommend Revolution Bike & Bean highly enough.That's all you really need to know. If you are interested in more details, keep reading.I'm slow to be enthused, and I weigh decisions regarding spending money quite carefully; ergo, I did months of research, bike shopping, and test riding at both local and not-so-local bike shops before finally deciding to make a purchase at Revolution.Why? Yes, the bike I bought did end up being my favorite (by a long shot). Yes, the employees are all great salespeople. Yes, they are deft mechanics. Ultimately, though, it was their down-to-earth, outrageously kind, anti-snobbery disposition that won me over.As someone coming into this experience as new to cycling more seriously, I became quickly turned off by the bike shops that touted their elitism (though, to be fair, the majority of shops weren't like this) and peeved by those that were staffed by people who could not answer my questions or make recommendations. By contrast, the team at Revolution seemed thrilled at the prospect of helping a budding fanatic and went to great lengths to get me the best bike possible. They continue to answer any and all questions, no matter how basic, in a relatable manner.I believe I've said all I can. Truly, this is one of those rare places that makes me wish I had a small fortune to invest, because Revolution Bike & Bean would make the list. Instead, all I can do is continue to give them my business and hope that you who made it to the end of my wordy, stream-of-consciousness review actually do have a small fortune, and will go see it for yourself.

Wonderful service - they didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need (I only bought what I came in for). They told me everything I needed to do to service my own bike. Super friendly.Price was very reasonable.
