Every experience I’ve had at this pharmacy has been a negative one. Takes hours to fill prescriptions for antibiotics, does not have things in stock usually. Only giving this two stars because I spoke with one very helpful pharmacy tech who helped answer my questions and get my prescriptions transferred to a different location.

I like the way the Pharmacy Tech woman handled my question,she didn't even take time to think,she answered me quickly. She reacts quickly and this makes customers comfortable. After speaking to the person at the FSSA office,I was sure happy to talk to this woman at CVS who didn't cut me off,she listened to me,this made me feel good. And I got alot from her just by speaking to her over the phone. She is a safe person to trust,I just got off the phone with her and I don't remember her name. She is awesome,and I am thankful for and to her. She doesn't let you know she is stressed at work.

CVS needs a complete re-haul of their computer system. I am supposedly enrolled in 90 day refills. EVERY 3 months I have to call and ask if my medication is being refilled EVERY time I am told I am not enrolled in 90 day refills, EVERY time I ask to make sure: now next time I’ll be texted when my 90 day refill is ready, right? - the answer is always yes. Today I call to ensure that my prescription is being refilled after calling 10 days prior and being told it was “on order” - nope can’t refill it - my prescription is expired. Dr won’t refill because my appointment isn’t until October. Awesome. This is the third time I’ve tried doing my yearly prescriptions at this pharmacy, never goes smoothly and always screwed up and typically blamed on me. I’m done.

Bloomington Indiana CVS South was extremely reactive, caring and respectful. Gave me the full attention when a canvas photo order went wrong online (ordered & transferred to thier store) and was accidently cancelled with no notification. Raymond jumped into gear and completed my order on the spot.!! I was so very grateful for the extremely effective efficient and quick service. Thank you 😊

I never leave reviews but this pharmacy has the most incompetent staff I have ever seen. My provider regularly leaves prescriptions on voicemail and I never have issues with it. I have driven to this pharmacy three times and each time they have told me they didn’t have a prescription and requested that my provider not leave it on voicemail. They also for some reason were not able to pull up my profile unless I came inside only to take the same information from me as the drive through window and have it magically appear. Making me go out of my way three days in a row, and not be able to pick up something as simple as a course of antibiotics is absolutely ridiculous. If I can complain to someone directly, please let me.

I haven't had much experience with the front-end staff, but getting scripts filled here in a timely manner is just ridiculous.I don't blame the staff. I blame the store for being grossly understaffed, and wonder if the managers even care to fix the issue.Oh! If you have an issue? Want to speak to the pharmacy?Good luck! The phone system will disconnect you ten times, and you'll be on hold for an hour+ when it works anyway.If you have an option, pick a different pharmacy. If your meds are time sensitive, this pharmacy won't be a good match.

I will never return here. They are scammers and liars. Especially the old white lady with yellow blonde hair. I dont even care for her name. She should be fired. And even the 24 hour cvs on the east side should be questioned how are you two the same organization different locations and different policies , rules. You would think they would share the same policies but no they are just as shady and I'm coming for them in the reviews next but this particular location don't trust them. And I will gladly go further into detail if a manager decides to contact me after reading this review.

Multiple bad experiences but most current - had script sent in on Tuesday, out of stock so they order it for Wednesday morning, call Wednesday morning to verify they have it and am told by pharmacist that she has it sitting in front of her, show up to pick it up and turns out she was looking at the wrong medication, told to call back Thursday morning at 9am to see if it came in, call in at 9am and am told to call back at noon because they don’t get their deliveries until then. Unfortunately every CVS in this town is horrible or else I would just switch…

This review is ONLY for the pharmacy. If I were you, I’d save yourself some time and stress and go to another pharmacy. I’ve dealt with them for years and it’s constantly a headache. I’d be embarrassed to be a pharmacist working here. I was given 3 different reasons over the course of several days as to why my 9 year old sons medication wasn’t filled. Reason 1: Pharmacist told me the dr wrote a note saying not to fill until 09/29. I called the dr and he told me he didn’t write that on the script or a note saying that. Reason 2: Pharmacist told me the dr didn’t send an image with the script. I called the dr and he told me that he doesn’t send images, he does everything electronically. Reason 3: I’m now being told that the prescription wasn’t picked up until 09/02 and now won’t be filled until 10/01, but was told 3 days ago it would be filled on 09/29. If you’re not making stuff up then you should have 1 consistent reason, not a different one every time I call to check on status. Worst ran pharmacy I’ve ever been to.

Pharmacy closed for lunch from 1:30-2pm daily.Something dreadful is going on at this pharmacy. It’s not possible to reach someone by phone, ever. Even if you have Rx on readyFill, it will often not be ready on the correct day. You have to go there in person to ask them to fill the Rx. Even if you use the automated phone system to request a refill, forget it—you have to be there in person or they won’t process it. They make calculation errors with basic arithmetic. They can’t or won’t facilitate negotiations with your insurance. Did one of your Rx get turned down? Chances are, the error originated from this CVS, not your MD or the insurance co., so start with this CVS, then try the other possibilities. I think these people are horribly overworked and under-staffed. I think all the blame lies with management, and none should fall on the people you actually interact with behind the counter. Every single failure you experience has been happening for a very long time and should have been fixed ages ago by someone much higher up, and it hasn’t happened, and that tells you: it is not the fault of the people working that you can see. So be kind to them.

This is the WORST pharmacy in Bloomington. My prescription was sent at 3:30 pm and they did not even have logged into the system. Went into store 45 minutes before they closed and they said to bad. Not getting done and come back tomorrow. I asked if they could switch to 24 hour pharm and they refused to help. Literally had a smirk on his face as he said no. Do not have prescription sent to S Walnut CVS.

I went to pick up a prescription for my one year old son, and the Pharmacy Tech, Lissa was one of the rudest people I have encountered in a long time.I pulled into the drive up and presented my insurance card and she went on to inform me that I would have to come back in fifteen minutes because they didn’t have an insurance card on file and would have to “refill” the prescriptions that she was holding in her hand. She took my insurance card and got nasty with me when I asked why it would take fifteen minutes. I ended up circling back around in the drive up window and she rolled her eyes at me. I had a sick, upset toddler in the backseat and the prescription was filled hours prior. She was magically able to correct the issue in less than fifteen minutes, and then asked if I had any questions. I asked a question and she said in a nasty tone that I needed to ask the doctor my question. Additionally, she acted as if I wouldn’t be able to collect one of the prescriptions because it was not covered by my insurance. It ended up costing $4.00.Coming from a background in customer service, I have to say, if you don’t like people, don’t work in a position that requires interacting with people. This interaction was uncalled for and ridiculous, especially with a sick toddler in the back seat. It ended up souring my night. Next time I’ll go to a competing pharmacy. This interaction lost my business.

Pharmacists and techs are professional, helpful and very friendly! They go above and beyond to ensure customers understand new medications prescribed. I have and will be a life long customer! Thank you all for making me feel not only a customer but a friend and family member! I've had family and friends pick up medication for me, they always ask how I'm feeling. Not many pharmacies care for their customers like this wonderful group!!

They always treat me and my family with respect and are kind and caring for me and my family's needs and they even can have someone help you find something your embarrassed or nervous to find yourself and it cant get better then how much they actually care about their customers I wouldn't go anywhere else to get things or even my medications they will always have me and my family as loyal customers thank you CVS south walnut bloomington for always being there for people in need

Disappointed. Pharmacy does not answer phone. I tried calling twice (9 mins on hold & 7 mins on hold) When I arrived for drive thru pick up, they insisted I come in the store. I had my 2 young kids with me (hence the drive thru) and did not want to go in the store. Left without the Rx. If anyone had answered the phone this frustration could have been avoided. I understand they have in-store policies. CVS should staff their pharmacy with enough staff to answer the phone and not put their team and customers in a position where they can’t provide adequate service.

Terrible. They called me to pickup a refill Went inside and was told to go to the drive through to pick up a prescription because they were working on their inside gate. I told them I walked over and they wanted me to stand in the drive through line with the cars. Hahahah! Not sure what’s wrong with this place. Of course this exchange came with a lot of guffaw and attitude on their part.

Last two times I’ve refilled my prescriptions online, I go to the store a few days later and am told: “We’re still working on those. Come back in a half hour.”This tells me they’re not refilling my prescriptions when I say to refill them online. Instead, they wait until I arrive to actually get to work on it. What’s the point of the online portal if I have to go in to get them to actually work on it?

My experience inside the store has been fine. However, the last two times I was there, I was approached in the parking lot by strangers. I believe something needs to be done to insure the safety of the customers after dark. One person told me she she needed help with her car, after leaving, I called the store and the person answering said he would check on her. Last night, I called the store to tell them a possibly homeless man approached me in the parking lot and the clerk said “And?” I replied and I thought they would want to know. I will definitely not be going there alone after dark, it isn’t safe.

Usually I get good customer service. The staff are very helpful almost all the times I went there in the last 8 years. However, I have a couple of issues from my recent visits prompting me to write this review. First, I was trying to buy an anti-diarrheal medication for my two year old and the one available in the isle was past expiry date. I thought a store like CVS would be lot more careful than that. From now on, I need to be extra watchful before I buy any items from this store. Second, the kiosk dispensing coupons is very annoying. When entering my phone number, the button clicks make a beep sound but the click itself is not registered on the screen. It is not as severe an issue as the first, but nonetheless is very annoying. However, I wouldn't say I will not shop in this store.

Love this store. Always well stocked and clean. Love the discounts and Extra Bucks you can get using their rewards program. I did a bone-headed thing today which caused the cashier to have to void my whole order and ring it all again so I could use my Extra Bucks. I felt terrible but she didn't skip a beat - she was extremely helpful and friendly the whole time!

If you call, you will spend 40 minutes on hold. If they tell you your Rx will be ready in 20 minutes at 1:30 PM, it will not be ready at 7 PM, they will say to wait another 20 minutes. It will still not be ready, and you will be told to wait another 20 minutes. They will not acknowledge that they blatantly lied and knew it would not be done. If you refill over the phone or app, don't expect it to be done or for them to even recieve the request. If you love wasting your time and making 3 trips to the pharmacy to get an Rx called in that they had over 8 hours to fill and you confirmed it would be filled. Then they are the pharmacy for you

THIS STORE HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! I have never seen a pharmacist chase a customer with crutches and a cast out of a store before. I was near the pharmacy looking at vitamins when a customer approached the drop off counter trying to get some kind of bandages. She told him that they don't have them there, the guy started to walk away and made a comment to his friend about it sucking they don't care them. Then the rep told the guy on the crutches that "THEY DON'T HAVE TO CARRY EVERYTHING," in an extremely rude voice. Then the guy starts to walkaway on his crutches. Then a pharmacist (his name was Kevin) walked out from behind the counter and followed the guy to the front and told him he is not allowed here and he needed to leave. The gentleman asked why and then Kevin began to threaten to call the cops as he literally chased the man on the crutches. There was no reason for the pharmacist to do anything like this. I am absolutely DISGUSTED at what I saw. I left all of my items behind and I WILL NOT be returning to a CVS again. That pharmacist needs to be fired.Just this past Christmas, I had a terrible experience with a customer service rep in the store as well, so this is obviously not something that is new to this place. This store needs to be closed and all of the staff needs to be retrained on how to treat customers.

Multiple times have been shouted at for literally no reason by the woman who manages. The rest of the staff are very polite. They get very busy very quickly most days, which I understand, can be stressful. I was told 30 minutes, then waited an hour and asked again. Once again was told 30 minutes, then waited an hour. After two hours, I started to explain and laugh it off, then got shouted at by the manager after she was unclear that she was talking to me. I said I could come back, I would just like to know an accurate time. She has been rude in literally every interaction following, with no cause or provocation. If you can fill your prescriptions at a different location, I recommend doing so.

The service at the pharmacy is HORRIBLE!!!! The last 3 times I've gone, HOURS after my prescription was called in (and I did verify with my doctor what time it was called in) I arrived and it still wasnt ready. The last time, it was FOUR HOURS after it was called in. The pharmacy tech said, each time, "We've just been really busy today." When I said it had been literally hours, she said, "I can expedite it and have it ready in 25 minutes." I had my child who had strep throat with me, I couldn't just wait around in the pharmacy with him he was miserable and I gave them plenty of time to specifically make sure we wouldnt have to do that. After these repeated awful experiences, I decided I'd switch pharmacies. Yesterday, I had an unexpected doctors appointment for my other son, and his paperwork hadn't been switched yet so his prescription got called into CVS South again. I already planned on giving them 4+ hours before I even tried, based off what's happened the last few times. By the time this window passed, it was 8:30 PM and I thought "at this point i'll just get it tomorrow", and also knew that by then it would for sure be done. So today, at *5PM* my husband goes to pick it up and GUESS WHAT!! STILL NOT DONE!!!!!! They told him the same BS line, "I'm sorry, we've just been really busy today." If you're THAT BUSY, EVERY DAY, then you need a new system or more employees or SOMETHING. I have never had this experience at any other pharmacy, including the other CVS locations in town. But when I moved to the South side of town last year, I started going here. HUGE MISTAKE. I'm switching to Lucky's.

Awful. While this is the closest pharmacy to our house, I only use it if it’s an absolute necessity, typically when we can’t get to our regular pharmacy before closing. On multiple occasions, we’ve had antibiotics called in during mid afternoon hours with the expectation (from the doctor) to start the prescription that day. Each time, CVS has NEVER filled them in time. I’ve had to call and they say, “Oh, you wanted that today?!” Each. Time. Absolutely absurd.

They seem to always manage to deny me my prescriptions as they're sent in by the Dr claiming it's an insurance issue, when calling insurance they have no problems with my prescriptions as written and yet I still can't receive them through CVS. Recently theyve lost my current prescription which is causing me issues. But all is well, they still have refills to try and give me for a medicine I tried a sample of for 1 week two years ago? CVS is a crapshoot and their customer service is generally rude to outright implicative of outrageous things especially for non narcotics.
