The combs vet staff are kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Our dog has had a complicated medical history over the last few years and we always feel confident confiding in combs vets. They lay out all of the options so we are able to make an informed decision which is so helpful in choosing the right treatment plan for us. They are flexible in scheduling and even have answered questions over text in a pinch. Would recommend to any pet owner!

We’ve had a hard time getting into a vet, that we finally got into this vet clinic 45 minutes away from us. With it being our first time going we left an hour early to ensure we got there on time. We ended up getting turned around and showed up to our appointment literally ten minutes late. They refused to see us. We explained we live far away and it being our first visit werent too sure where we were going. Not to mention we have a newborn baby…we’re juggling a lot and a little understanding wouldve gone a long way, but alas, they refused to see us and so we drove almost an hour home without being seen. Our dog is in desperate need of her meds since we moved here and can’t see our old vet that’s states away. We have no idea where we’re going to get meds…all because we were TEN minutes late. Do not go here. Heartless and hard. That’s how I would describe any business that treats people this way. I’m in shock. We moved from a big city where vet clinics are just as busy but yet…they’re able to show compassion and understanding in a way this place wasn’t.

When I realized I had left my wallet at work, the receptionist was super nice and accommodating and worked it out so I could pay another way. The nurse/tech listened to me, and I felt like the doctor addressed all of my concerns with my new dog! I did not feel rushed at all during the check-up, which I really appreciated.

Decent vet, but wish they were more forthcomingwith their pricing. Asked me if I wanted to do bloodwork but didn’t tell me how much it would’ve been and then handed me a $400 bill just for a checkup and some vaccines. On me to ask I guess, but would have liked to have been told. Was not prepared for that kind of expense.

Amazing Vet! Dr. Pruett is awesome and very knowledgeable. We drive all the way from Columbus for this vet. She diagnosed something in our baby that had been missed and took care of it. He is better because of Dr. Pruett. The girls at the front desk are very friendly and willing to help. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic vet clinic with amazing people! Dr. Pruett-Becker is the best veterinarian I have ever had, and the vet techs and front desk staff are terrific. You can use an app to refill prescriptions and request appointments, the office texts you reminders and information, and the care and knowledge in treating my dog has been top notch in every way. I would never go anywhere else for my pet’s care!

If you care about the well-being of your pet, please look elsewhere. Very unfortunate event today due to poor communication from Combs Veterinary Clinic. The management team should be ashamed of themselves. Many pet owners hold their fur babies near and dear, it is completely understandable that emotions run high when their pets are in pain. They are at the vet to get support and help. Not to be laughed at and ridiculed by the joke of Combs' authority team.Look at the other comments from today. Combs' reply back is "I have video proof that you were being verbally abusive!". Is that a very professional or caring response from a place that is supposed to be organized and help your pets? The man apologized for it within his comment. As I stated, emotions are high when the one you care about is in pain and is searching for aid.Please look elsewhere for professional and caring animal service.

I appreciate Combs Veterinary Clinic immensely they were able to fit me in due to a cancellation. I had just adopted a cat from the shelter that I was told had no health issues and when I brought him home he immediately had trouble breathing. They were very helpful and even taught me how to trim his nails and were very professional. Because of the circumstances they waived the fee and counted it as a shelter fee. Thank you so much! :)

Beyond dissatisfied with services and the lack of communication from the office staff. No compassion, no empathy, and ZERO accountability on lack of communication. I will NEVER let them near one of my pets again. We hope that someone holds the office manager accountable for being a terrible human being. She sat and laughed while the secretary took care of our concerns and did not even try to get involved until my bf said “I want my F-ing dog” She would be better suited for a career that doesn’t involve dealing with anything that breaths. No apology, no empathy.We have been working with this vet as our dog needed a surgery, but the day of the surgery wewere told that his surgery could not be performed because he had taken aspirin the week before. This would not have upset us if it were not for the fact that we called the office 4 times in order to receive one phone call regarding aftercare and to answer questions. We were never told in the instructions that we were sent via email or in person or via the phone to discontinue our dogs other medication in order for him to have the surgery. The vet even questioned why he would be taking pain medication. Apparently, no one put them in the loop that he was in pain with a torn CCL? The day of the surgery, we dropped him off, answered the questions and came home. As soon as we git home, we received a call stating that they would not perform the surgery because he took aspirin 5 days ago and it must be 7 days aspirin free. Our dog is in pain and is in need of care and their staff cannot even communicate the basics and then had absolutely zero care how they affect our lives. We had to save the money, took 2 weeks off work, and made at home care arrangements. The worst part is there was no accountability for not calling us back. A simple “sorry, we messed up” would go a long way. My bf was upset and said the F word and was told to leave and when he refused, she acted like a child and would not listen to him, stating she told him not to talk. Our dog is still in pain. We both have two weeks off of work that did not need to be taken. Then the office manager had the audacity to try and charge us for printing off their shot records. Again, how about “we understand how you feel, we messed up, we will waive the fee.” We did not pay or get the records.At the end of the day our pet will receive better care at a different facility. We have no doubt, and we will not have to deal with the lack of common sense from this team ever again. I understand they are understaffed and overwhelmed, but that should not be taken out on the customers or the pets.

Buddy's first time at a vet in Btown. I wanted to go somewhere friendly and loving. The doc was thorough and talked about all of my concerns, explaining everything in a way for me to understand. I felt very welcomed by the vet techs and vet. Awesome place. I also know Buddy appreciates going to a vet only 10 min away rather than 1.5 hours away!

Friendly staff. Took the time to answer questions I had. It was our first visit and it was free since she was a shelter adoptee. I was even 30 mins late because I went to the wrong location and they were still able to squeeze me into their schedule. I will def be back.

Combs has been very gentle, patient, and understanding with all aspects of care as well as usually forthcoming when answering all my questions even when the answers may be painful, letting me know my options, suggesting at-home solutions, and responding quickly to questions, records requests, and referrals. They gave me extremely helpful resources for grieving the loss of a pet and deciding when it was time me put down my dog. I felt no sense of judgment for the timing of bringing home a new dog. I’m not sure if this was intentional, but I did really appreciated that they put me in a different room for new dog’s new patient appointment than the room I had when saying goodbye to old dog. Then they were very understanding and patient with my nervous rescue pup who warmed up pretty quickly!

I don’t feel like I have to start over with explaining our pet’s condition every time we go in - she does a thorough review of our file and just gets to know her patients!! 10/10 recommend Combs to care for your pet!

I was incredibly pleased with my recent visit to Combs! It can be intimidating and overwhelming to start seeing a new vet, but everyone in the office was incredibly kind and caring about my little fur baby. They took great care of her and made sure to explain everything to me; they were patient with me as I asked so many questions! The reception staff and the veterinary staff were all very courteous. The veterinarian did not treat us like "drive through" clients rather took time to answer all of my questions and get down on the floor with my dog to actually engage with her and assist in decreasing her anxiety.

I initially started going to combs with my pup I got at the shelter who is scared of new people, and they absolutely amazed me with the time they took to make her feel comfortable! We adopted another pup recently from the shelter, and took him there for his initial visit. They spend extra time to make sure they are well, and are so wonderful with both of them! Very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful in guidance! I would recommend to anyone!
