Gross bagels, worse coffee. As Jon Stewart said when he came on his comedy tour, “that is not a bagel.”The everything bagel has a countable number of seeds. My partner ordered a bagel sandwich. They forgot the meat. Their solution was to get provide a side, instead of remaking the sandwich. Because that’s what we all want when we order a bagel sandwich.Worst place in Bloomington.Edit: they never bothered to bring the “side”0 stars

Haven’t been to BBC in awhile but was happy with my experience! Their menu is virtual now but easily scannable when you enter the store. I went around 1pm so it was not that busy. Ordered an egg and cheese sandwich for right around $5. Order came out quickly, <5 min and was everything i asked for! My bagel was soft and chewy, my egg was cooked through, and the cheese was melted!

Amazing Lox breakfast bagel sandwich.Update - I have been to Bloomington 3 times now and this has been our first stop every time! Great variety of bagels and schemers, but also their scones are out of this world delicious (more like muffin tops really). The lox bagel is still the winner, I will say, for me. Asiago bagel with their surprisingly-spiced garlic schemer.

Complete Disappointment. Overrated. Based on other reviews and pictures I Hyped this place up for family to come (mistake). We love our bagels and visit joints on our travels through the U.S. We had a $40 meal which included bagel sandwiches, bagels with cream cheese and plain bagels. The bagels lacked flavor and were hard (9am). Bloomington Bagel Co did not meet the threshold of average. Also, don't ask for tap water with your $40 meal. You must pay for water.🤦

Tasty eats, still decently quick service even though the place was crowded. Had the Hangover sandwich, mi me gusta

The menu is a slide show on the television, so it rotates through the slides while I’m still trying to read them. A little pricy. I asked for a cup of water, but they only offer bottled water for an extra charge. The permanently closed location next to Bear’s Place on 3rd St offered cups of water for free. The paper tray that the food comes on is too small. The tables were dirty. No public restroom. Good location. I like the food — especially the Supernova bagel sandwich and blueberry banana smoothie. Honestly, despite my criticism, I will come back.

The BEST bagels in Bloomington (Panera sucks)! Very cheap and fast. The bagels are dense yet fluffy with an array of shmears and toppings. The baked goods are also really good.

Same great bagels, cream cheese, and coffee. The new space retains at least some of the charm of the old, and the large overhead doors bring the outside inside for some great open-air dining. BBC remains one of the better places for breakfast in Bloomington.

Almost broke a tooth an the hard bagel. The amount of cream cheese on the bagel was so overwhelming. I felt like I was a baby eating spaghetti for the first time on my own.

Love this spot. There's plenty of room to take a sec, eat and decompress. The coffee is good. The bagel sandwiches are great and it's inexpensive.

What a cozy bagel spot so close to campus! I liked the blueberry bagels I had--it was different from regular ones. Crispy on the outside but light and fluffy on the inside. Not too sweet no too plane. They have a good selection of coffees as well. And milk choices are diverse enough to suit most desires. In addition they offer a comprehensive profile of other goods popular for lunch. Salads did look fresh.I would recommend this place to someone looking for a quick yet delicious bite.

Great place to go for bagels! Edit: love the reusable cup deal that they offer.Previous review: I'd give it 5 stars, but I just paid $3.23 for a SMALL hot coffee (in my own reusable mug) which is over a dollar more than Soma down the street (Grant between 4th and Kirkwood) charges. Will continue to come here for bagels but go to Soma when I just want coffee from now on.

I didn’t take photos. This place is nothing special but it’s convenient if you’re in the area and decent enough. My husband had the Turkey Reuben which I didn’t like. I found it too sweet. I had a whole grain bagel and the garlic and herb schmear and did find it quite tasty.

Good, quick spot for breakfast. When we went during June they had the front open, so there were flies around which was kind of gross. However, the food was very good and at a reasonable price. They have a good selection of cheeses for your bagel as well as many different vegetables and other combinations.

Fantastic food - my wife had a bacon, egg, and cheese; I had an everything bagel with onion/garlic cream cheese and lox. Good coffee, too, although I can't remember the vendor. The space is fantastic (although I miss the older setting!). The one star I lopped off had to do with cost - sure, lox is expensive-ish, but $10 for a bagel sandwich? Yikes! It's not the end of the world, but it does indicate a price level that may be a bit prohibitive to getting more people in the door. Ultimately, however, I highly recommend BBC - fantastic food!

My friend and I were on our way there and she called to see if we could place an order for a few bagels as we were on our way and she was verbally slammed with snide comments, whining, and general rudeness. We were able to place the order but it took a lot of patience to get the employee to listen. When we arrived, the employees were very rude still and the one who talked on the phone wouldn't look at us and she was being overly nice to the only other customer in line and even quite obviously gave that lady her food for free. While my bagel was being made, the employee turned away and coughed without covering her mouth. Though I'm glad my bagel wasn't coughed on, I worry for anyone who gets a bagel after me as she had coughed on their entire uncovered bagel supply.

The bagel sandwiches we had were great but the wait was long. Most bagels were gone by the time we went but we were there near closing time. Enjoyed the quality and taste of the bagels a lot.

Visiting a friend at IU and she recommended we check out BBC. They certainly didn't disappoint! The selection of bagels seems endless as well as the schmears they offer. If you like coffee definitely try the Iced hazelnut! It was a wonderful surprise to see almond milk out with the regular milk. We all enjoyed our bagels, and I will definitely be back soon!

It's ok. Staff are friendly, but this place doesn't seem to know what a latte is. It tastes like a regular coffee with vanilla cream instead of espresso shots and steamed milk.Scone was okay too.

Don’t overlook the veggie burger option! I ate these long before I ever went veg. Now that I moved away from btown, I visit BBC every time I’m back! The new building is so nice and feels a lot less cramped than the old layout. Great bagels from an awesome female entrepreneur. My order: Asiago or Egg bagel, veggie burger, Gouda artichoke shmear, Swiss cheese.

Nothing beats a delicious, chewy BBC bagel and their homemade "schmears!" I have been coming here since I was a kid and it's still a favorite Bloomington spot. No inside seating right now due to Covid, but ordering at their walk-up is fast and easy.

As I recently learned from my Mom, any good good bagel is boiled for anywhere between 1/2 - 1 minute before they are baked which makes for a chewy crust and slightly dense interior ... the longer they are boiled the thicker and chewier they are.If you seek such a bagel, Bloomington Bagel Co is the best I've experienced in town. On top of that, the crew hustles and are über friendly.

Delicious! The young lady behind the counter, who I believe I heard was the manager, did a great job. Efficient, timely, and appreciative. The sandwich was delicious! Sausage, Egg, and Cheese. Great place. Visit often for breakfast before work.
