I really do enjoy Bloomingfoods... Ive yet to leave unsatisfied with my trip to this store. They have all the whole food food youd ever desire. They also have a bakery/sandwiches inside alongside coffee and drinks. All staff have been quite friendly and helpful. Would recommend time and time again.

This is a truly wonderful co-op. But they limit their size, and that means they don’t offer quite as much as they might otherwise. This was a new building, and I feel like they could’ve made it a little bit bigger to carry a few more things which would have made it more convenient for their customers.

A+I love this placeThey oftentimes have local organic produce, meats, eggs, and other items.They make a number of homemade prepared and cooked food items for sale, which are delicious.They can freshly shave meats for you.They have homemade fresh-squeezed orange juice, which I love.Bloomingfoods market is the absolute best grocery store in Bloomington, they currently have two locations; east and west side. They don’t have all of the exact same items at both locations, so you are forced to go to both locations to get everything that you are looking for.This Westside location has a delicious hot bar. Before Covid they had a wonderful daily food dinner hot bar and dine-in area, so that you could eat food from the hot bar on location, which was great, and I wish they would bring that back in full swing.They need to pay their employees more, especially the ones that have been working there for years, that are awesome employees.I highly recommend this grocery store.

It's crowded and expensive, but the food is good, and the staff are friendly. If for some reason you want to make your trip to the grocery store an "experience" rather than getting it done quickly and efficiently, this is the place for you. I applaud local business, and this is one worth supporting; however, from a practical standpoint, this little grocery store is mostly a novelty, unless your grocery budget is hilarious large.

They managed to pack a surprising variety of goods in that small space. It is a particularly good place to grab quality deli food and prepared foods to take home. But you can also definitely live out of the grocery store. Fresh fruit and a bakery, high quality meat and eggs, and a bulk dry foods mean keto and vegan options are available.

Charming place with very helpful staff. They did not have what I went there for (seeds for sprouting, ie alfalfa, broccoli, mung beans, microgreens). He said they have carried them at times, but not currently (and called other store without me having to ask), and offered to order them and suggested other local places (greenhouse) that might have them. Not the cheapest option, but outstanding local-minded, generous "small town" style service.The prepared food looked very appealing and warrants a return visit too.

A perfect grocery store for anything you need. They also have made to order sandwiches and a hot bar where they keep things like burritos. They also have a fridge area with pre made foods, the curry chicken salad is fantastic. Definitely check this place out.

i love bloomingfoods and usually have great experiences here unless the white lady with the dreadlocks is working. she is the most condescending and rude person and goes out of her way to immediately be mean to customers. since every other employee there is so nice, it just doesn’t make sense why you would hire someone like her.

I stopped at Bloomingfoods at least once a day for the entire summer. So many amazing dishes for take-away and a hot bar that always has great vegetarian options. I miss the house-made power bars and linzer cookies (both vegan) so much. I thought the prices were great given how fresh & high quality the food was. Super friendly & helpful staff too. :)

Loved this place! We went through on a large road trip, traveling from San Diego, and we love the idea of a co-op. I really enjoyed the food and sandwiches there. There was a wide variety of healthier foods that I tend to pay higher prices for at competing stores like Sprouts here in San Diego. Everybody was very friendly and service was fast when we went through. Definitely would go back if we find ourselves there again.

Love this place! My husband and I have been members of the co-op since 2016. We appreciate the vendors and products they carry. Their produce, hot bar and cold ready to go items are always fresh. Would highly recommend anyone else thinking about getting a membership to do it; it's worth every penny!

Stopped over for some Friday Lunch🕛📣 So that was Yesterday & by Golly Darn Tootin' This belly is still full Today! 🏿 Really Enjoyed a Delicious Burrito w/ Chicken 🌯🤣 Washed it down w/ some Crazy Tasty Juice Antioxidant mix in a a brand which started with a K 🤤 anywayz Uptown, or on the Eastside we get around to and still are considering becoming one of 'em co-op members! Heck ¢5 for a Paper Bag is actually Super inexpensive I mean that's 20 Sacks for a Dollar, or we can always BYOB 🤸🏼‍♂️😋

I shop local as much as I can. However I would never spend a dime here. The employees are down right abusive to community workers just trying to do their jobs. Using derogatory hate speech and harassing people. I cannot support jobs where the employees treat others that way. I will go to fresh thyme or the local farmers market where the food is fresh, reasonably priced, customer service is good and the employees don’t abuse people trying to make a living.

Many other reviewers complain about the attitude of the elderly lady in this store, and the aggressive and paranoid way she is enforcing mask mandates. I totally agree with them. I walked in, went to the cookie section. She came next to me, did not see how I was wearing the mask, but still, she leaned over to my side, tapped hard on my shoulder and told me to wear my mask on my nose. I turned towards her, revealing that my mask was indeed on my nose, and told her, 'it is on my nose'. She said, 'no, it WAS on your nose'. Not sure what she meant, so I walked over to the frozen section where only after 2 minutes she appeared again, jumped in front of me, raising her voice telling me to put my mask on my nose AT ALL TIMES, and I do not have to shop here. I wonder if the owners know that this lady is sending customers away? I am sure they would be interested. I understand that if there is a mask mandate in the county businesses have to ask customers to wear it, but the way this elderly lady behaves is just out of order. She walks around, spreading tense and very negative vibes in a store which supposed to be about community support and good vibes. I will never return to this store ever!
