I was so pleased to spot the fresh produce department upon entering the store. It was obvious that the regular shelves were well stocked too, but just seeing basic foods for my table made my mouth water.

A great place to find fresh, local goods! Seasonal selections are my favorite, especially when they have tents up in the parking lot with people selling their produce/wares! Every fall there's also a seafood truck that comes and sells freshly caught seafood of all sorts - they sell out inordinately fast though (the seafood truck).

Great local Co op. Lots of organic foods. I like the fact in the deli that made alot of vegan friendly foods. Check out the pictures. Friendly staff.

Fantastic Cubano sandwich, the best one in Bloomington! Each sandwich comes with a bag of chips and pickle which is great! It is also a coop so you can find lots of fresh food there. I had a cup of coffee and it was excellent.

As always, they offer an excellent variety of organic, whole foods. Many are locally sourced. I appreciate the plentiful options that side step mainstream brands. When you're living what people have coined as clean, it can be difficult to find a true array of options. But at this place, you'll never be disappointed.

Great food co-op featuring healthy food choices. I purchased some fresh salad (that were delicious), some gifts for friends (chocolates) and flowers. I was on vacation, but if I lived in Bloomington, I would definitely become a member.

I bouĝt a nice bread piece there. Veggies were pricy for me. Bulk nuts seem to be priced fairly.

Venerable local co-op provides excellent variety of locally and/or organically sourced health food and specialty items at decent prices. Interior can feel cramped but is extremely efficient. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. The deli/butcher counter offers many deliciously hand prepared hot food items. Plentiful seasonal items including garden plants, flowers, growing equipment, etc.

I love this little co-op. They offer ethically-sourced, organic, and/or natural products. While slightly expensive, their products are worth it for the quality. They also have a hot meal bar, salad bar, sandwiches made to order, and prepackaged deli items.

Didn't go in, but heard it's not like a grocery and costs are fairly high.

I love this tiny specialty food market. They only stock stuff that moves quickly, so don’t expect variety. But the vegetables are organic and local and the other offerings clearly target the health conscious consumer. Very Birkenstock. Pricy if not a member.

A+I love this placeThey oftentimes have local organic produce, meats, eggs, and other items. They make a number of homemade prepared and cooked food items for sale, which are delicious. They have homemade fresh-squeezed orange juice, which I love. The East Side location gets its fresh juice from the Westside location, where they juice it.Bloomingfoods market is the absolute best grocery store in Bloomington, they currently have two locations; east and west side. They don’t have all of the exact same items at both locations, so you are forced to go to both locations to get everything that you are looking for. This Eastside location has way more organic baby food than the west side location. This East Side location has more available parking than the west side location. They need to pay their employees more, especially the ones that have been working there for years, that are awesome employees.I highly recommend this grocery store.

People are nice and good product but I got 2 godfather sandwiches today, 10 bucks each and by the time I got home with em I noticed they have nothing but meat and cheese on it. nothing else, not even mustard. Was kinda disappointed

I remember when this coop started, a small true coop store downtown. Although it has a cool vibe, and an interesting shoppong experience, most items can be found elsewhere at lower prices.

Good food but expensive prices. Membership to the co-op doesn’t do much of anything. It’s like they are a co-op in name only. If you have been to any other real co-ops around the country where members get their membership discounts every day and not on one random ever changing unpredictable day of the week you will understand. I’ve been told by more than one farmer that they are also not friendly to local small family farmers and prefer to get their produce from big corporate sources

One of the best Co-OP grocery stores I have been to. The best veggie sandwich I have eaten!!! The lettuce, avocado and tomatoes were super fresh and ripe. The sourdough bread was delicious. They have the best tasting healthy desserts. We purchased the cardamon cake and banana nut bread. They cardamon cake was extremely moist and not overly sweet. They also had a great prices for my Dr Bonners peppermint shower gel.Highly.Highly..recommend this store..

We love Blooming Foods! (And it feels good to shop a local brand.) They have a sice selection of seasonal local & organic meats & produce in a very small storefront. Unfortunately they are not well priced; I'd even say "cost prohibitive" for many.

From Co-op to Corporate. Instead of selling items for a reasonable price in bulk in this inflated economy, they would rather sell you 1 LB of packed Buckwheat flour for approximately $13! It is a similar story for Rye flour. Is this not unethical? What happened to the Co-op aspect? Are members expected to spend any sticker price amount?

Great selection, friendly staff, love the grab and go items, the salad bar, hot breakfast bar, and sandwich selections at the deli.

I do groceries here occasionally and everything worked well so far. However, today I went there and bought some products, including one bottle of wine. Instead of $35 which was my rough cost estimate, I paid $50 (it turned out later that the bottle of wine had been included twice). Concerned about this inaccuracy I asked for a receipt. A cashier gave me intentionally a different one (she didn't bother to print mine, only picked up a random, old receipt). After I walked two steps towards the exit and noticed that, she was already gone. I looked for her in the whole store, so she had to be really quick in going to a staff-only space. The issue was fixed later with another cashier. This is a so-called community-oriented, ethical business...

We've been members of the co-op for decades and don't intend to stop anytime soon. Great place for organic produce, good wines, a healthy food market all around

Sure, Near West Bloomingfoods is closer, but East is a bit larger and has a different selection of victuals including marvelous vegan chocolate cake and a freezer section with vegan corndogs. Helpful and friendly staff. This store makes me miss living on the east side of town.

The cold produce section looked amazing and smelled fragrant, like a garden! Different than a large chain store.

A Great example of the Co-Op experience. Great sandwiches and hot bar options. Excellent selection of organic and local produce. Native plants available in the garden center. Knowledgeable and helpful staff, when you can find them.
