100% RECOMMEND!! We rented a basic pontoon boat. The price was very reasonable for the day. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The check-in process was quick and simple. The employee who came to do our walk-through made sure to cover all aspects of operating the boat, covered the map of the lake pointing out areas to be cautious of shallow water, and marked locations on the map for us. We were camping in the state park, so we had a very quick drive from the campground to the marina. This was a great experience, and we will definitely rent here again!

We were return customers. First of all let me explain this was a celebration trip for our daughter in law. She was finishing Chemo before starting radiation. We thought this was the perfect time for the trip. They rented a pontoon in advance and then found out her Chemo Dr did not want her in the heat/sun. They called 3 WEEKS in advance to cancel the boat bc of doctor’s suggestion. My daughter in law and son could not get anyone to talk with them and kept getting the run around. When they finally talked to someone they were told they would not get their deposit back. In my opinion this was totally uncaring and very bad customer service especially for repeat customers. My daughter in law was/is going through stressful situations and this just added to it. I am in no way criticizing the boats/pontoons but the uncaring people. I truly feel the employees need to take into consideration what their actions have done. This caused undo stress and frustration. Please have some common courtesy and do what is right.

We rented a Pontoon. It was covered in bird poop over the canopy and on the seats. We asked to have it cleaned sovthe mam left and never returned. I ended up scraping the dried poop off the seats. Broken back railing and broken fuel gage as well. The actual boat seat was not attached at all the boat and I went tumbling over into another seat. We will never go here again.

Rented a double decker pontoon boat for the day. Did not make it far from the dock then the engine failed. After 2 hours, they could not fix it, so we had our choice of towing us in for full refund or half refund and we can use the boat anchored near the marina for the day. We opted to use our glorified raft for the day for $250 as we were already on the water and no reschedule that week was offered. We made the best of it, but still payed way too much for not having the use of a boat to see whole lake or pick a less windy area for the kids to swim. The boat was not well maintained either-loose weldings on handrails and benches that did not stay in place. Then to top it off, we watched a deckhand blow in another customer's car breathalyzer so they can drive themselves out. Poorly run and customer service was lacking at best (unless one needs their breathalyzer done for them). We also did the sunset wine cruise later that week. Cruise started late and was in a very hot enclosed room on a boat with no fans or air. My 1 star review is not just about our pontoon rental, but overall experience with the marina this past week.

Uncle Jim's cabin was perfect for our group... The bedrooms were cozy with ample storage - for a group that would stay longer than a weekend, there are dressers and closets for storage, allowing the visitors the comfort of not living out of the suitcase. I had 2 nights of wonderful sleep - windows open, listening to the wind and rain - just like the YouTube relaxation videos. Kitchen - equipped with dishes and anything needed for cooking - lots of serving bowls, utensils, cookware - even dishtowels and dish liquid!. A new coffee maker - quick pot ready and our mugs filled to take to the covered porch, relax on the rocking chairs and watch the ripples on the pond and allow the morning to unfold. Bathroom - clean shower, crisp white towels and built in hair dryer. Towels were exchanged by pleasant staff. Location - we spent several hours at the Winery. The staff at the Winery were super kind and helpful. Some of the group enjoyed the wine tasting - presented by knowledgeable staff who 'knew their wines'!! We all found shirts, Christmas ornaments and bottles of wine to take home. Park - beautiful trails and wonderful places to stop and admire the foliage and lake.I cannot wait to return!!! I can imagine a winter trip! Hiking and walks in the snow and coming back to Jim's to snuggle up with a blanket and sit back on the rocking chair with hot cocoa! Put in a good movie, get out the dominoes and settle in for a memorable evening.Thank you all for making our stay WONDERFUL!!!

First: Southern Indiana is a treasure! So much to see and do, and wonderful people. There are pluses and minuses to these cabins though:Plus: Great staff, clean rooms, good ACMinuses: No wifi, very weak cell service, noisy rooms, no view.If you are looking to totally disconnect, this may be perfect for you, but for the price we expected more.

I was very disappointed with the upkeep of their boats. When we arrived the staff member told us our pontoon needed to be drained, but they were short on mechanics and didn't have time to have it taken care of. He advised us to put all of our coolers/things in the back to weigh down the back of the boat because it was leaning forward. We had to return the boat after just 20 minutes on the water, and lost another hour+ waiting on it to be fixed. Unacceptable that they did not have the boat ready for us at 9 am when we arrived. The other negative aspect to our visit was the customer service. When we radioed that our boat wasn't acceptable because the water kept coming over the front, we were initially told the mechanic was fixing a motor on another boat and wouldn't be able to get to it. Essentially our only option was to return the boat or deal with it. That person was quickly told differently by someone and they agreed to fix our boat. We were told it was take 45 minutes(wrong) and they would give us an extra hour at the end of the day(irrelevant because there was a storm coming at 6 pm and we would spend our extra hour in a thunderstorm). We asked for a different pontoon that wasn't being used, but were told they were all reserved. However, many pontoons were at the dock when we returned and still there after completion of the draining of our pontoon boat nearly an hour and a half later. We had to wait another 10 minutes because they decided to switch out the propellers while they had us all sitting there waiting too. I believe they should have given us the option of an extra hour(which didn't help us) OR take an hour or TWO HOURS off our fee for renting since we were out that much time due to their neglect of their boat.If it wasn't for the above problems I would give them 5 stars. Our children loved the boat and were asking to go back out again the very next day. We had a blast while on the fixed boat. This was our first time and we anticipate going back and taking more family. Next time we may try Gilligan's boats that also does rentals and see if they have better service and maintenance on their fleet. My suggestion for the company is to add another mechanic or have him work overtime as needed to make sure the boats that are rented out to customers are ready for their departure each morning. They could also use some help with their customer service. When you make a mistake, you need to be more flexible in helping the customer to improve their overall experience.

We stayed in one of the suites which was ready and very clean when we arrived. Every employee was very nice and helpful, especially the ones that stocked and cleaned the cabins. Will definitely visit in future. Only cons were pictures online make suite look bigger, when actually quite small. No dresser and 4 hangers in closet? Had a wall mount with about 7 hooks. So bring some hangers for your clothes!I made all reservations on line for lodging and marina rental. Marina rental somehow changed to the following month for pontoon. So watch carefully when it offers this that dates are the same! So they had no rentals available, but they did give us a refund on deposit (even though woman at marina said, " I am really not supposed to do this, but I will this time." ??Good news is we went to Gilligan's rentals and the had pontoons for the days we wanted. Plus, instead of having rental back by 6 PM, if you paid in full at time of reservation you got rental from 8 AM till 9 PM for a few bucks less! Gilligan's employees are super nice on the docks, also!!!So after all said and done we had a great time!

Boat was very nice. Staff was great. They offered and let my husband use a golf cart to help with loading/unloading as walkway has an incline that caused him difficulty due to a health problem. It was much appreciated. Only complaint would be we were instructed to not put toilet paper in the toilet but to put it in trash. It would be nice then if these trash containers in bathroom had a lid.

We enjoy Patoka Lake because it stretches out so much you hardly notice other boats. The pontoon boat we rented added some pleaure to our day, but there could have been a few improvements. It had a 50 hp motor which was not very fast. The side to one of the seats up front was broken so you had to be careful not to lean on it. Likewise, when we were shown the boat the guy stepped on the rear seat. The hinge wasn't attached so the seat fell into the area below it. When he slipped he pushed the side of the seat and tore and broke it so it couldn't be leaned against either.Otherwise, the boat ran well, got us where we wanted to go, and provided us some extra space and coverage.

We rented a 30-person party barge and were very disappointed in the equipment. We barely backed out of the marina and the engine quit. We waited, on the boat because we had hauled our gear on it, for three hours for the mechanic to arrive and fix the boat. We have some fun on the lake and come back to the dock for a quick drop off. The boat won’t even turn over. We wait an additional thirty to forty-five minutes for the fix this time (fuse issue). We have been cordial and patient, even holding an umbrella over the mechanic working in the hot sun, at this point. We are told to keep the boat an extra hour. We finish our day and drop off the boat. We are told the grinder in the toilet doesn’t work and we will need to pay an additional $65. The issue is probably a beer bottle cap. No one on our cruise had any drinks with bottle caps. We had cans and water bottles. In addition, there was a Corona bottle cap in the floor of the commode. Again, no one had Corona beer in our group. This means it had not been cleaned before we were given the boat for the day. Ew, nasty. Upon discussing the issues with the staff, their remedy was to not charge us for gas. They discounted the amount of $19.90 off of our total for the day. I cannot recommend Patoka Lake Marina Boat Rental. It is obvious they sorely need to upgrade and maintain their equipment.

We got our house boat on Fri and woke up with water on the lower deck of 2 full beds..had to move mattress and guy came to fix Sat 🌄. We waited til 3pm and floor still wet..They told us to go to dock..Found out there was a oil leak also. So they couldn't give us anything else cause everything was booked...my friend asked owner for refund for the 3 nights $1200. Is alot to let go...still waiting for reply...hope she does the right thing.

We rented a pontoon for the day to fish and relax. From beginning to end this was a great experience. The pontoon had seen better days but it was fine for what we needed. No complaints. I must acknowledge that Logan, the young man who got us loaded and who went over all the things we needed to know was a gem. He is a credit to this business.

The good. The bad. The ugly.We stayed one night in the bunkhouse and rented a fishing pontoon. We had a great experience upon arrival. Got our pontoon right away and it was perfect for our needs. The staff that set us up and both knowledgeable and helpful.A big rainstorm rolled in and we returned the pontoon in the later afternoon (a couple hours early). Our bunkhouse was ready for us but they disnt have a key for us to get in. We waited for over 45 minutes to get the key. ☹ I'm not sure what the issue was with the key, but staff communication was insufficient and we did not get a warm and fuzzy feeling from them. The bunkhouse was up to our expectations but had the most uncomfortable and the sqeakiest beds ever. Upon check out staff said "Ok. That's all we need." No thanks or how was it. 🤷♀️

My family of 5 stayed in a floating cabin for one night in August 2018. The a/c didn't work and the temperature inside our cabin was between 80-91 degrees, in the middle of August! I was not able to get a full refund, even though their staff apologized and promised it upon our departure. The maintenance guys were courteous and tried to help by putting temporary units in our cabin, but they couldn't keep up with the heat. Apparently this is a common thing because our neighbors in the cabin next to us had the same experience. Marina staff were friendly but management does not care about your experience. I've called multiple times asking to talk but they will not return my call. For $400/night, I expect better.

We stayed at one of their rooms for the night to go fishing at 7:00. Perfect size and perfect price!! We weren't gonna be there long so room just big enough for bed, tv, and bathroom is perfect, but the bed had to be the cheapest available. It was HARD AS A ROCK. My back hurt all day out on the water!! Please invest in some new mattresses.

We rented a pontoon and a tube for the day. The deposit for the tube was never returned it was a $120. If I didn't review my credit card statement never would have known. Maybe an accident but bad business practice.

I wish I could give them a 0 rating. We rented the Princess houseboat. Its an old boat with a motor that can barely scoot it across the water. You had to continuously run the engine so the air conditioning would work. The fumes from the exhaust were terrible. You couldn't run it at night when sleeping due to the fumes might over take you. We also encountered a bed bug problem. More then one of our six people aboard got bites from them. We took the boat back in a day early due to the bed bugs. Showed them pics of the bugs on one of the headboards and showed them three of the bugs we had killed. Also showed them pictures of the bites. I explained to them we spent over a $1000 dollars to rent the boat from Friday until Monday and they stated someone would contact me. I ended up contacting them and stated to management that we had spent over a $1000 renting the boat but didnt get to use the full rental due to the bugs. I would appreciate some help. All I asked for was $200 of the more the $1000 spent due to having to leave early because of the bugs. After a phone call and three emails later they finally started they could find no bugs and that they had an exterminator look and they couldnt find anything so no compensation would be given. I didn't figure they would take any responsibility for their problem. I asked for a copy of the report but, still havent heard anything. I definitely do not recommended renting from them. I also have now read many complaints about them. I didnt feel asking for $200 of the more then $1000 back was unreasonable.

Probably the worse managed business you will ever encounter and horrible human beings. We are experienced houseboat owners who rented 3 if theirs for a long weekend. The owners insisted that we did not tie them together on shore. This is NOT the way this is done and we tried to explain that but he insisted and we would be asked to leave if we did. Sure enough a huge storm blew through and because the boats were separated the sterns blew around and damaged the sides on two boats. He charged us for the damage even though we followed his rules. Find another place to rent so these guys go out of business.

FALSE PRICE LISTED ONLINE: It is very disappointing to see the price variation when you book online vs. when you book it over the phone. Online for the 8 passenger fishing Barge (Monday, September 3, 2018) shows $149 so I tried booking it online but for some reason it showed the card declined even though I have the credit. I reported it to them because the same card worked in the morning to book a flight ticket. Then I said okay then lets book it over the phone. The total came out to be $179 plus tax. I said why? Online it shows $149. I hope they fix the wrong price listed online. The staff is not at all helpful. They put you on hold and pass to other representative and then you have to repeat the scenario all over again. I just felt as if they are earning so much that one more family weather they come or not is not going to make much difference to them. They simply DO NOT CARE!

We rented a 2 bedroom floating cabin. It was better then some hotels I've stayed at. I really liked the fact I could tie my pontoon boat right by the cabin. Staff were really friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back.

Stayed on the Princess House Boat with a group of friends. Generator was not working properly...had to shut it off regularly for safety reasons. A/C couldn't keep up when generator was running. Days on the lake were great. Nights were rough ... Too hot to sleep. Friend found a roach under their bed sheets at end of trip.

CABIN was slighty bigger than my home bedroom, one chair, two folding tables , (tv type), one bed table and a light that actually worked, a very small microwave, and a refer . Most of the room was BED, and the closet was about big enough to hold 4 bent hangers. a/c was VERY loud, room light did not work, toilet ran all the time, (no need to flush). TV was very small, no cable. Make sure you close the blinds as they look over the bed. Bath had 3 lights that would show up across the parking lot. (can't miss little whiskers). Left early!1/2 half of a very small mobile home trailer

Last Saturday June 15th 2019 I had the pleasure of getting married at the Patoka Lake over look deck. Let me first start off by telling you that every step I had planning my wedding was as easy as can be. Rachel and her staff did an amazing job at making my wedding perfect. Also everyone down there is extremely nice. And also on the eve of my wedding we had a few issues but they were quickly resolved.

It was all good had a great time but the boat when we were there. They said that it has slide and everything and all it did have a slide they told us the water would have a it would help hook up just spray and we had to use our bottles and fill it up with water and take up water every time we want to go down the slide and whoever we talked to her then cuz he woke up turn everything up but I shouldn't tell somebody something if it's not true
