I had an emergency with my dog on a Friday afternoon. No other vets in the area would work him in. The Dr. and staff worked my dog in at 4:30 and he ended up needing emergency surgery. They didn't hesitate at all working to save my dog. They could have easily blown me off and not worked us in, but they did!!! They truly care and SAVED my dog! They were great with keeping me updated and checking on him after we brought him home! They are a great team and definitely go above and beyond to care for your pet!! Their dedication is very appreciated!!!

Dr Hunt and his staff are amazing! Our cat was a complex case but Dr Hunt knew just what to do! We were treating her all wrong and within a few days of Dr Hunts treatment plan she started to improve. For the first time in over a year I feel like there is hope for her. So glad he was able to get us in! Thanks again!!

Dr. Hunt is awesome. He listens, he develops a relationship with clients and patient. He talks to you like you are a person. This is hard to find. Everytime I have needed something with my dogs and my litters Smith's office is always willing to work hard to make sure my babies have the best care. We all appreciate you in the Wells housee hold. Came in from out of state to have my dogs perineal hernia repaired. Dr Hunt did an incredible job and our little guy was feeling a lot better less than one week after the fact. Great surgeon. Kind staff. Amazing clinic. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

We have learned our lesson with other vets. Smith Veterinary Hospital truly cares about our babies. That is why we drive the distance that we do to get here. We pass multiple Vets offices on our way. But our babies deserve the very best. Thank God we have found it here. And thank God for the people here at SVH. We are so grateful for you!

After going to several vets in the area and being left completely dissatisfied and having unanswered question regarding caring for my pets, I decided to go to Dr. Hunt hoping there had to be a good vet in my area. Well, I was wrong…Dr. Hunt is a GREAT veterinarian!!! When he examines my pets it is obvious that he cares about their comfort and well being. He also always answers my questions completely and doesn’t just wave me off. His staff is incredible as well. All his techs are so wonderful and friendly. And when my fur baby had a nervous accident in the waiting area, the ladies at the front desk made me feel at ease because they knew it was part of taking care of animals (even though I felt so embarrassed). I HIGHLY recommend taking your furry family members to see Dr Hunt and his staff, you will not be disappointed.

We have sadly had to euthanize our two oldest cats this year. SMITH vet and hospital staff we so kind and professional. We selected their Legacy cremation bring home package. Which i completely recommend. You get your pets death certificate, a paw print cast, a tuft of their hair, and their remains in a respectful container. I definitely recommend this facility to all animal owners.

I actually switched from my old vet of 10yrs for my English Bulldog because they were so good with our other 2 dogs. Definitely recommend.

I can't say enough about Dr. Hunt and his caring and understanding. I had him here last Saturday to put my german shepherd down because his cancer was so bad. The caring was amazing, I got my shepherd back today after cremation and it was so hard, but what they gave me back was way beyond what I expected. Thank you so much

I brought my 5 year old cat to be neutered here and the staff was just wonderful. He's a bit of a baby when it comes to being away from me but he handled his visit well and is recovering very well. Dr Hunt called me this morning to to check on him and also made sure he was healing okay. I live in Fort Wayne and will be making this my baby's vet. The care is affordable and is some of the best I've received.

Amazing service and a compassionate staff makes this vet clinic A+!!!Our family dog was sick and needed to be seen immediately. Our regular vet was unable to give him the care he needed, as they were overbooked and only had 1 vet in that day. We were not clients at Smith Veterinary Hospital, and had never been here before, but they still went above and beyond to help us out! Every single member of staff was kind, polite, reassuring and compassionate!Dr. Hunt put me at ease with his exam and told me that our dog is very "stoic" and hides his pain. With never having met our pup, he had him pegged immediately! They kept him overnight, and the Dr himself called both my mom and myself to update us on his care, after they closed for the evening AND first thing the next morning!From the amazing receptionist, to the awesome vet techs, to the compassionate and knowledgeable doctor, I cannot say enough good things about this clinic!My parents have decided the hour drive is well worth it for follow up appointments and will be continuing care with Smith Veterinary Hospital! We cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for us!

I actually just went there for another opinion on my dog Max. When I called it was kinda on the higher end of the money rate, but I wanted to see what someone else thought, so I went ahead and scheduled the appointment and Max was able to be seen that day!Turns out he's healthy! He just has a few minor flaws, but that comes with his age.The place was clean and inviting. They were very helpful and wanted to make sure Max was going to be okay.*we went in a Friday*The next week the vet called and asked how he was doing and if he had made any progress since last seen. I wasn't expecting that! Needless to say I have switched all my other fur babies over to see them now.Thank you Smith City Vet!You all do a wonderful job.

I first came across Dr Madge at Smith Veterinary Hospital during an emergency with my diabetic dog late on a Friday night back in 2017. I could not reach my regular vet at the time. Madge answered right away. She tried to give me options to try at home before having to make the visit. She stayed up with my girl all night and treated her like her own. I had to make the heartbreaking decision to let my girl go. Madge was there for me even afterward. I received a handwritten sympathy card from her and she was wonderful throughout the whole process. Within the last year, I made the switch to have Madge and Hunt as my regular vets. They are great people and thorough with their patients. They are extremely knowledgeable and I've always felt as though they treat my animals as they would their own. The entire staff there is pleasant to deal with.

Dr. Hunt is seriously amazing. He was able to get our dog in today to examine his eye and give him stitches. Then sent him home with pain medicine and antibiotics. He's always professional and it shows his love for animals.

Very friendly and patient staff! I had MANY questions and they took their time with me. I also have a German Shepherd trained in protection work and she loved them as well...which says a lot! The treatment they recommended is working and they gave us great guidance!

Clean, friendly, efficient. I absolutely love Smith's office. The staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and reassuring. My elderly Rascal had to have tooth extraction and they took every precaution with him. He's mending beautifully. I love the thoroughness and thoughtfulness displayed in every member of the staff, from the administrator to the techs to the Dr herself.
