My DG store is very handy and close to me house. Unfortunately the people who work there do not stock the inventory and the things i need are never on the shelves. There's a young man who works there that literally cursed me out for not using the self checkout. I needed something from behind the counter, and he literally started cursing me and stomping around in a very aggressive state. I don't go to this store anymore even though it's 30 seconds from my home. It's very upsetting and quite scary actually. This is the worst Dollar Store I've ever been to. I now have to get in my car and drive to a different Dollar Store, which is ridiculous, because of the lack of products on the shelves and mainly the rudeness of the employees. Don't go to Dollar Store on Mitchell Road. I do not recommend it.

I went into the Dollar General on Mitchell Road in Bedford Indiana tonight. When I walked in I had $11 to my name. I got two six pack bottles of Mountain Dew, and one cheap box of tea bags. When I go to check out the cashier, Amy Mitchell, informed me that if I wanted to get one more six pack of soda it would only be a few dollars more. I told her that was the only $11 I had to my name so unfortunately I couldn't afford it this time. She then says that she's curious to see exactly how much it would go up and scans another one and sees that the price is only about $2 more. She then proceeds to tell me to give her the $11 that I have and she would cover the rest. She turned around and grabbed her purse and instantly added what was needed without hesitation. I repeatedly told her she did not have to do that, and she said all I ask is that you pay it forward. The world needs more people like her. And in my opinion, she deserves a raise! She went above and beyond tonight. And while this may seem really small to some people, I've had a really rough week, and just her kindness alone has made me feel so much better. She was wonderful tonight. Thank you again Amy!!

The guys who work the night shift are hilarious. Fast. Easy in and easy out. They love my dog and don’t give me grief about bringing her in. Thanks for the laugh you guys bc i really needed it.

I like that you can usually get in and out of DG pretty quick if you're in a hurry. Sometimes it's pretty hectic and there's only one register ever open at a time. Everything is always pretty organized in the store and easy to find. All of the employees are always friendly, even when you can tell they are getting overwhelmed by lack of help.

I haven't been in a Dollar General store yet where there wasn't a cart with stock blocking an aisle and this door doesn't seem very clean. It's always cluttered. I believe they're trying to sell too many items. However, the value for the products keeps us coming back. Very good quality products at a very good price!

I had gone there since they first opened, now I rarely go. I signed up for the coupons, etc. I have also tried to reinstall it several times. No matter what I do my coupons NEVER come up at register and all I have ever been told is that they are sorry but they can't manually give the discounts. You can't hardly get a connection in the store to go through your list either. SO... since I CANNOT use their coupons and stuff I just elsewhere. It appears that I am not the only one with the problem too.

Carry all kinds of items. Clothes, food, decorations, phones. I got my phone from Dollar General and its the best phone I've ever had. Verizon, $40 a month gets me unlimited talk and text with 3G of data. Phone was about $70. Great buy!!

Even before our local card store closed, I was dismayed by how much cards cost. Recently I discovered that those at DG are a fraction of the price. The paper may not be as high quality but many of the images are and the wording is often just right. There are fewer options to select from but that does make the choice faster and I have been quite satisfied.

I mean its dollar General and it was handy that it was there at the time, the selection was limited and it only felt a little ghetto in that particular dollar General. We could have driven ten more blocks to the next one, but why what are you gonna do when your in a rush.

I like most of the workers there but the old guy with glasses and a shaved head talks too much and slows up the line. 5 min convos for each person. If not for that, id give 5 stars. Just ring me up and lets go

the cashier was great we bought a couple items that were in the ad that did not state any limit but we only allows to ring up a couple at a time they were great and very patient about made shirt making sure that we got what we wanted

manager would not do an exchange for something i received as a gift or offer to do anything without receipt. she said they couldnt but now im stuck with something i cant even use. it seems to me she would have been able to at least exchange it but didnt offer to do so. left frustrated bc i felt she couldve done more.

Competitive pricing, conveniently located, first choice when I need something, even has a good auto/home area to get things like PB blaster and purple power. Faster to get in and out then Walmart or Rural King or Lowes

The new store in Bedford is a lot bigger but bigger doesn't mean better. They raised prices & they don't have items that they used to always have before at the older store. But it's still a good store.

It's dark and the lanes are narrow. It feels cluttered and crowded. The only reason to go to this branch is most of the cashiers are sweet girls and convenience.

The woman that came to the checkout to help the man at the register was very very rude and did not even understand what she was doing.She was mean talking to the checkout man and very rude to me as the customer.I have had very great kind checkout people at this store before but today was the very very worse I have ever had at a dollar general store ever.Sheneeds to be retrained in kindness and courtesy for sure

They only had 1 cashier working and the customers had a long wait but other than that the store was well stocked and everything was easy to find. Just need to hire more employee's.

They have a nice variety of holiday decorations and reasonably priced! They also have a nice variety of things for the home, meds and grocery items too!

This place must train their cashiers well. I went in here for the first time and one was in training. Very professional very helpful I need to know this one's not the closest to my house will go back.

Wasn't stocked very well. Aisles were a little crowded and things were hard to find. Did have a variety of items that are not at other Dollar generals.

The lighting was adequate. The roof appeared not to leak. 4 walls and a clean floor. All in all...a well rounded store.

This store needs more help or new management, has been a mess for months .I feel sorry for employees.It's almost a hazard to go in store and try to get through the store.Please help this store .
