Staff is very friendly My great Dane has an emergency, I was not able to find anywhere to get him in quickly not even the emergency vets. And the few emergency vets that I did find wanted triple the price to see him the Good Shepherd veterinary took him in same day and got him all taken care of for less than $150. For a single moms it was a really great deal for me to take him to that vet office

I was shocked and appauled by this vet. Would give 0 stars if I could. Dr. Couch forces you to answer and ask questions while he's giving your dog shots or doing other procedures instead of after he's done. He is gives short angry condescending responses like, "What else do you think would happen. " and has absolutely no recommendations when you ask him for help. He nearly yelled repeating a question I hadn't answered yet because I stopped to pick up my digs leash. He definitely has a power trip over female clients and will treat you and your pets like annoyances. The office us extremely small and tbey told me I had to wait with my nervous dog I'm the waiting area. 2 minutes later a bug dog cane in and tried to attack my dog. They did nothing to help. Also since when does a basic blood panel cost $500? This vet shows no compassion for pets or their owners.

What a great experience all the staff was friendly and down to earth. The vet was amazing simple to the point and no up selling if any products or guilt tripping you into expensive testing. We have transferred all our pets to this veterinarian. You just know when the energy is good. Thank you

I’ve been taking my 2 dogs there for past 2 years. Doc is not friendly., doesn’t seem caring towards animal or owner. Don’t feel like your pets gets a thorough exam.Only went there because location was nearby.Don’t Recommend!

All the ladies are very sweet, was not impressed with the vet though (couch) seems to not really have compassion and rushed me and I don't just mean a little he really really rushed me and I did not like that. My dog has a check up here in a couple of weeks but after that I am going to be finding somewhere else to take her. I would like to have a vet that isn't rushing the hell out of me and one that has more compassion for what they do. Other than that it wasn't so bad. Again all the ladies are super sweet, it's a shame the vet made me feel unwelcome and rushed, otherwise I wouldn't be finding another place to take my dog. Couch sucks, plain and simple, if he doesn't enjoy what he does then he needs to get out of it, not fair to the animals.

I love the staff at Good Shepard !!Dr. Couch is direct with what he believes is best for your animal, and I really appreciate that approach. He always gives my dogs great care.The vet techs and front staff go above and beyond their duties and are compassionate, and very friendly.

Do NOT take your animal to this place. The receptionist is nice, but other than that, it’s awful. Dr. Couch has no idea what he’s doing. He has no compassion for animals or the owners. He’s rude, condescending, and not very knowledgeable. He neutered our male pit bull and we had nothing but problems. They would not put a come on him after surgery, and did not offer us to buy one. That’s right you have to BUY a cone that should have been put on him already! The ladies stated they didn’t put a cone on him becuase he wasn’t messing with the incision site after surgery! Animals are drugged up after surgery and are tired! Of course they aren’t going to mess with the incision! He was severely swollen and bruised after surgery. And they used staples! Not dissolvable stitches! The girls called my dog a brat when we came back to have them put the cone on him. The staff are RUDE and DO NOT care about animals. We will NOT return with any of our animals.

Dr. Couch is a great guy with a genuine love for animals. He does everything in the best interest of your pet, and doesn't recommend anything unnecessary. The office staff here is outstanding too. My female Shepherd can be a bit timid around new people and I can't think of a time she was uncomfortable around them. His office can do titer testing for vaccinations too. It took me a long time to find a vet for my guys living in Columbus, and I'll miss them greatly now that I'm moving to MN.

Good Shepherd always takes such great care of our animals! We do our regular check ups with fidelity and scheduling is a breeze. Dr. Couch and his staff are always thorough and so thoughtful. We have also had several “urgent” visits in the last few years and we’ve been able to get same-day or same-afternoon visits! The ability to easily schedule follow up visits is also much appreciated. Our dogs love Dr. Couch and his staff!

He seems to be at the Doctor's nice, & the Staff seems to be nice the prices are moderate, other than that, Seem like things are a' little cramped' and Small between people Coming in & Out you're standing in the way for weighing your dog just seems like it's "a little the restricted" in space seem like they need to have a little more room between coming in and going into the next room for observation.........

Took my dog here because she had a digestive issue. They done x-rays and put her on an IV. Gave her some pills and then charged me $650!! The vet even suggested we put her in a pet hospital that would cost us another $3,000. She was fine the next day. I got ripped off by this place and will never go here again.

Called to get a dog euthanized and lady was very rude. SAsked if I was a client and I am not. So she says" that's your first problem we don't euthanized non patients here. RUDE

We've been taking our new puppy to Good Shepherd for almost 5 months now. After many bad experiences at other vets, I was nervous. This time I know we're in good hands. ALL the staff is excellent and truly cares. Dr. Couch clearly knows what he's doing and always explains everything to us. The prices are very reasonable and bills are easy to understand. We've been through everything from regular check ups to a broken leg at this point, and I can definitely say we won't be going anywhere else.

My family goes to Good Shepard for all our dog needs, and the last visit was not to happy-go-lucky because we had to put our dog down due to old age and a broken leg. They were very understanding and gave us appropriate timing and space to be with our loved one. I recommend them to anyone that is looking for a loving facility.

Vet has zero compassion for animals or their owners. Manhandled our small dog and was very rough for a normal checkup. She squealed anytime she was touched the next 2 days. Process was hurried and no real care from the vet. Office people were nice though, sorry they have to work for a terrible person. First and last trip to the bad shepherd

I absolutely love taking my Beagle (Shadow)! Everyone is super nice and knowledgeable and Dr. Davis Couch is amazing at what he does. My fur baby is my life and I wouldn't take him anywhere else! I recommend anyone with a pet/pets to go to Good Shepherd. 😉

My cat was hit by a car and they were able to get me in very quickly to look him over. The vet, receptionist and tech were so incredibly kind with clear communication. Cost was more than reasonabke and staff was understanding and helpful in terms of our budget. The fact that they were all able to squeeze me in was more than the other vets in the area were willing to do. I so appreciate this vet and look forward to taking our cat Goose here again in the future.

I want to say that my experience here was great when I needed to utilize a vet. They were kind to my dog Titan, but titan has not had a need to revisit a vet; however, he was placed on a prescription diet and I was told that this is what will help him be healthy.The issue I have is my dog has not been sick since or shown any issues. I've been feeding him as required. I get a notice that his prescription is revoked because the vet wants him to visit to get shots and all kinds of things.Vets are unregulated and this is their way to hit you with thousands of dollars of fees for my dog who isn't showing any issues.They hold his food as ransom because it's either pay them fees for services my dog does not need to basically They will cause your animal harm because they told me specific he has to have the diet he is on.I think this is gross that vets can do this. I did call the IPL agency in Indiana and told them about this and they did state that vets in Indiana are not permitted to deny prescriptions so I'm considering pursuing this.While making money is the goal. Forcing animals that are doing well to undergo expensive testing to make money is a bit cruel and to tell me that my pet will die without the food he is prescribed and then tell me that you'll let him die if I won't schedule a visit "just because." Seems cruel.

Cared for the owners as well as the pet. Received follow up phone call checking on my dog after initial visit. Also sent a sympathy card after my dog passed. Very impressed and would definitely recommend.

Was looking for a vet for our senior dog. Noticed he was losing his site and was having difficulty breathing after a recent grooming. Got an appt here and asked if there was more we needed to do. Bloodwork? Xrays? After being BELITTLED by the vet by being told, "what do you want me to do, he's old", "looks like he's breathing fine", "looks like he sees fine" left the office with an antibiotic and feeling stupid. 7 days later had to take our boy to the emergency vet after finding him barely breathing to find out his lungs were full of fluid and his stomach and lungs were riddled with cancer. Had to put him to sleep he was suffering so bad.If you've lost your COMPASSION for animals and their owners, quit your job and hire a new vet. You should be ashamed of how you pick and choose who you want to give good service to. Trust we will forever share our story of our experience at your practice.

I was hesitant to return to this clinic because the vet treated me very disrespectfully and felt very rushed. I decided to give it one more chance since it is so close to my home. I will never return and I hope others who see this review will choose a different vet. During the exam the Vet grabbed my dog and stuck a dirty/soiled thermometer in his rectum. He was dismissive with my concerns and had a very quick, cynical attitude. He displayed a very uncaring and rough approach to me and my pet. The office staff had similar manners.

I've been bringing my cats here for several years. One is a rather frequent visitor for fairly consistent issues. Dr. Couch is fine with treating the symptoms, but he never seems interested in looking for the underlying cause. I've had cats *all my life* and I've seen lots of conditions and behaviors, but whenever I say anything about how this cat has issues I've never seen or how this cat behaves differently than any other cat I've had, Dr. Couch acts like I'm an idiot and says that everything is perfectly normal (which would imply that ALL my other cats have been peculiar) and all he needs is an e-collar or antibiotics. If you have an animal that needs a basic treatment or teeth cleaning, Good Shepherd is a fine practice. If you have an animal that is consistently having the same problem and you'd like to treat the cause not the symptoms, you might want to look elsewhere.

I can't give this wonderful place enough stars or love♥️ We had out lab Mackie for 15 years. He was sick and wasn't going to make it and was suffering. I called every vet out there and all of them would not help me or was extremely rude! We got an appointment with Good Shepard and was able to be with our Mackie as he passed. They were so extremely sweet not only to Mackie but to us. No more suffering for our fur baby thanks to these loving angels ♥️

The front desk girl very nice ! The vet Meh. I was not happy with my visit . I went in for a teeth quote only. I was charged for what the called a exam . My whole time spent in the the Dr was under 5 minutes. I timed it. I was charged for a full exam and he only listened to her heart and felt her over and looked in her mouth briefly . I was charged $56 . They quoted me $1200 for a dental cleaning . I about FELL over !!! I just took my dog to Franklin Animal Clinic and the dental quote is FREE. no charge and the Level 2 cleaning there is $400-500. That is a DRASTIC difference. So needless to say I will never return there ! I felt ripped off and like they don’t care about your pet .
