I was looking for my next chainsaw as my last of 10 yrs finally died. I must say kudos to polen pro on that one. I use it frequently and take down trees 14 -18 ' diameter a number of times a year. But it was time to move up to a stihl and the staff at Dannemiler were very helpful. They made sure it started up and went through basic instructions just in case I didn't know. You have to love the personalized service. Wish more places were that way again.

Went there to buy a special nut/bolt for a lawnmower and they were the only place that seems to stock these kind of parts. The clerk at Lowes recommended this place and it was a little bit of a hike from Greenwood but if they have the part, it is worth it. Finally found it and they do seem to be the place to bring your small engine for maintenance or repairs. They are not that keen on customer service. They do eventually wait on you, but it seems that distractions from the phone or other customers trip them up and if you are not a regular, you are not a priority. I guess that is more a function of being a laid-back place. They only had one of the nuts in stock I needed, and it was very expensive. I did need two of them but will have to make do with one.

The worker are amazing and been patience to explain about the trimmer. I am trying look for new trimmer that are easy to replace strings or blade like pop in and off than old trimmer getting frustrating to split between 2 holes take longer for. I just want replace quicky to get it trim around my house!

Goggle maps mis-spelled the name: it's Dan Miller True Value.I dropped off a chainsaw to me repaired. It was my father's. Anytime he needed a small engine repair he took it to Dan Miller T. V. . No where else, ever! I did have some questions about new blowers and Aiden was very knowledgeable & helpful. I will update this review when I get the saw back: cost & job done.

One of the best places to buy chainsaw parts and needs. Customer service is helpful most the time but annoying at the same time for someone who has been shopping here for decades. Ive walk in more than once lately and employees at the counter will stare at you and yell "can I help you" then as your picking up your supplys they will take turns annoying me in the isle with the same question while im trying to read and pick what I need (give me time to read and not feel rushed ppl) . If a customer needs something they will ask!

Went in for something as simple as fuel line for a weedeater and a spark plug. Thankfully I DID go here... who knew it would take a couple different sizes of fuel line. They are very knowledgeable.

I've never experienced such poor customer service before in my life. I returned a defective battery 3 months ago and they still can't tell me when a replacement will be in. I understand there are issues with manufacturing and/or distribution, but this is just crazy. Maybe just offer to be reimbursed?? Nope! Each time I've called, I simply get the response "We're still waiting on it." No apology, no nothing. I recently called to speak with a manager, and was left on hold TWICE for over 12 minutes. EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I buy my lawn equipment from Dannemiller Hardware Store and have not had any issue with the hardware I purchase from there. I purchased a Toro lawn mower at Dannemiller’s about two years ago and unfortunately I’ve had difficulty with that mower not performing correctly. Dannemiller’s put $75 in parts and labor into repairing my mower at no charge. They did an excellent job of fixing my mower and I would highly recommend them.

I have had 3 experiences with this store. 1st was with my old mower and doing an "on call" appointment where they would call to service the mower because they were so many weeks out. But I never got a call. 2nd time I purchased a mower and it was a good experience with a fair price. 3rd meeting was when I wanted the mower I purchased fix after owning for 2 years and it was going to be 3 to 4 weeks out. In fairness, they must be busy but when you are willing to buy new from a place you'd hope for some better service options.

I spent 22 minutes waiting, on the phone, for the parts department and only got a very rude woman in the end after I called for the third time. She refused to write down the name of a part I was looking for to give to the parts department to have them look it up. All she had to do was give them the part and save them the time of coming to the phone until after they knew if they had it. I had other things to do and couldn’t wait for another, who knows how long to wait, call back, unless they had the answer because that would’ve been wasting both of our time. They are the worst for service not to mention their very expensive prices. Their waiting message keep repeating “Your business is important to us. Someone will be with you shortly.” Well, apparently not important enough to be courteous and to provide better service.

Poor customer service and rude female employee. Returned a defective item and was charged a 20% restocking fee. I could walk 10 feet and put it back on the shelf myself, but do they really restock flawed items. I'll never be back. *Response to owner's comment. NOT TRUE. NOT a special order item. It was on your shelf. Also your response was rude.

Not sure why it is, but the last few times I have come in...the older counter staff (men) have treated me rudely. I don't need to be corrected like a child if I ask questions about products. Very annoying.

Store was well stocked. The guy at the counter appeared helpful referring me to the parts person. The parts lady seemed very unhappy or bored. I had to solicit a thank you from her after my purchase. I will definitely check them out again when the need arises. We all have our bad days.

I Had my zero turn fixed by Dannemiller. It was a very positive experience from beginning to end. Employee Reid helped me removing the mower from my trailer, explained the process, and was very professional and polite. Reid was also there for me upon pickup to help explain the work done and help secure the mower to the trailer. The original diagnosis, from two different shops was wrong. Dannemiller fixed the problem and saved me money. Thanks to everyone involved.

Great hardware store. Large selection of nuts, bolts, and screws. Three employees went by helping others but never asked me if there was anything I needed. It took me some time to find 1 bolt but not the screw I needed.

I have enough friends to know to stay away from your store... They all have similar stories. Word is spreading fast about your customer service and lies about the mowers you sell. How are you still in business? I have been to your store before, but I can't say I remember buying anything memorable, I will go somewhere else. My hard working friend's use that equipment to make money, not to fall into your scam, Which ends up costing them.

Went in to buy a trimmer, axe, hatchet, and a couple of other things. I was asked when I went in if I needed help, I replied yes and told them what I was looking for. I waited for 20 minutes to get help and it never came. When I went in the store there were only 2 customers including myself and the other person was checking out. I was the only customer in there for at least 15 minutes. I now have to drive to Trafalger to get what I need. Time wasted! Won’t be back.

Update to the issue I had.After speaking to Jeff and Greg Dannemiller they came up with a solution that worked very well for both them and myself. I took mower in today, they got it in immediately and by the end of the day they found the problem, and came up with what was a very reasonable outcome. So, we all have off days and I was upset due to inconvenience of no mower during high growth time and scared I was going to be left without, also that I have shopped at their stores both old location and Southport for some years that my mood was raw. So, I will say I highly recommend them for all of your needs for purchases, parts, service, and I will continue to shop and use them in the future and already have a bigger purchase planned!Thanks again Jeff & Greg!

True value is one of the best all around hardware stores I have ever visited. I walked out to the garage today and noticed both of my zero turn front tir a were flat. I went to true value with my kids and they helped me cary my tires in and out after the tires were rebeaded. They finished the job in less than a half hour on a Saturday. I purchased a used blower while I was there that was $100, and when I checked out for my tires,the blower,and a pack of m&ms, the charge was $101. They are really great people!

I visited this store 05/02/2021 to get a quote on a Ferris SI600 ZTR mower. I spoke with Sara and she told me I could receive a military discount from dannemiller. She also informed me I could receive a instant military rebate from Ferris the manufacturer of the mower.I returned the next day to purchase the mower and had Sara write up the purchase order. While she was doing the order I reminded her of the military discount from dannemiller. The owner Greg over heard the conversation and said there isn't a military discount on the mover because it was already at his lowest price and his price was lower than anywhere else.I then asked Sara about the manufacturer's military instant rebate from Ferris and she said it was for active duty military only. I was shocked once again to hear this so I showed Sara the qualifications from Farris to qualify for the military rebate, which I qualified for.Once again Greg the owner says to me I couldn't receive the instant rebate because the mower was at the lowest price. Remind you this is a manufacturer's instant rebate.It was very disappointing to the point that I just told Sara and Greg to cancel the purchase order and I'd go spend my money somewhere else. When I said this, Greg the owner started raising his voice at me. I told Greg I hadn't raised my voice or been disrespectful during this entire process.22 years active duty I served and this is how you treat your Veterans.

The staff at Dannemiller are always helpful and very welcoming. Every time I stop by I’m greeted and asked if I would like any help. I’ve been to many outdoor shop and Greg and his staff are rates at the top of my list for best outdoor shops I’ve been too. I recommend them to all my friends and family.
