Hands down the best park in Lawrence County, Indiana. With swings and a large play set for kids, a nice paved and gravel walking trail 1 mile long around idyllic ponds, and several trails throughout the woods, this park is a gem for Lawrence County residents and visitors.Fees: Free to visit. Shelter houses can be rented. The Hamer House (White House at front of property) can be rented on AirBnb.Restrooms: Pit toilet behind the swings and at the back shelter house.Dog-friendliness: There is a local leash law, but dogs are welcome.

Nice place to take the family for some fun at the park. Bathrooms needed some supplies but honestly are too nice to care about lack of supplies.

Great place to walk your dog, or take a jog. There's a few short trails, good for beginners. bring big spray the ponds are the perfect breeding grounds for giant mosquitoes. But there all kinds of turtles and cat fish in the ponds to make up for the mosquitoes. Also there's a Play ground for the little people any parents might have.

Everybody who says this is a great place for an easy scenic walk is absolutely correct. Very nice. Would have been 5⭐ if the water was more clean and the sounds of traffic not so abundant.

Quite little nature walk/ good for exercise maybe some good pictures. My kids played in the creek. Didn't seem to be raising anything in the ponds. Not sure why? still beautiful spot

This is a lovely place for a picnic, to walk the beautiful paths and stop by the Little Free Library installed by Bedford Altrusa Club (built by Kent Tadlock) based on the 'Take-a-Book, Leave-a-book' system.

The Avoca fish hatchery is a great place for a quiet walk with your family it's great for strollers and is level and gravel the whole way. It's a great place to take pictures and see wildlife, there are picnic tables and outhouses

Very nice place to take walk with your pets!! Bull frogs crocking crickets very peaceful!! Shame not active anymore as hatchery!! Back in the day was a hot spot! Wish get it back on line!!
