I went here like twice for my snake to get mice, she only eats frozen mice but specifically wouldn’t eat the ones they provided and she’s not a picky snake. It is a very messy store, I don’t know if there’s different locations that are better but this one is awful. It smells so bad, like pee, the cages are far too small for the other snakes they had there to sell. The floor is also sticky. They also had regular chickens?? They seemed to be there a while cause they weren’t babies but there was far too many chickens in one cage. There’s also a free roam cat, if you’re allergic like myself stay away from the cat. It is indeed mean, it scratched me and I swelled up. Anyways I am through yapping, I don’t go to Planet Pet either you’re best off driving to Petco/Smart or ordering online :)

I'm so glad I found this place! I had no clue it was even there until I went to the farmers fair and ended up parking by it. I like that it isn't a chain and they actually have a ton of pets to choose from. I really like the fact that most of their merchandise is considerably lower then their competitor up the road. I really hope we can get more people to check this place out I would love for it to stick around! It may be a small space but they have really done a great job with their layout it works quite well. Jatden and his sister both are great people! Guess next time I'll get some photos of inside I got all this for under $50 I could keep going on about this place guys go check out it and help out small businesses

This is not your run of the mill pet store if that is what you are looking for. But if you are looking for a family run small business where you can talk and get what you want, this would be the place to go. Lots of different animals and most of the supplies you need for them. Definitely a fun place to check out if you love critters. Reading the other reviews, I would say if you are looking for a spotless big chain store, go there. If you want a family atmosphere, come here.

Husband and I stopped in here just to have a look after grocery shopping. We couldn’t get anything, just wanted to look for some fun. Their animals are so cute and healthy. You can also tell they are loved by the way they act. The woman in store was so nice and conversational. Her sons/family were in store. Such a lovely atmosphere that you don’t really see anymore. A lot of these bad reviews are ridiculous. Y’all are use to going to spotless commercial pet stores. Those stores are big business, and all about money. A lot of big pet stores will disregard there animals, because the animals are nothing more than money in their pockets. You can see these people have a genuine love for animals. We loved seeing the family and animals, wish we had more family run businesses like this. Loved this store.

I saw the awful reviews and had the check this place out for myself. The one star reviews were right. I was appalled with the living condition in which the animals were being kept not to mention a very strong odor that you can smell before stepping in the door. The walls, floors, and animal enclosures were absolutely revolting. Adult bearded dragon’s tank was smaller that it was long. Taking a look at the back room with the birds that were present at the time (four parakeets, one cockatoo, African gray, and yellow headed Amazon parrot) all the cages were with out food or clean water. Only one wooden dowel rod were present in the cages and no toys/foraging toys. copious amount of bird feces littered the floor while gnats and flies flew overhead. The conditions were so deplorable I do not have enough time in the day to list every single issue but just to say I would rate this place a -10. Now I know that the owners are going to reply with “I’m sorry you feel that way” but when will this place be shut it down and the animals rescued?

My son's first experience at a pet store. Loved seeing some animals free roaming. They were so cute and very friendly. He wanted a hamster. A pet of his very own. Definitely will be going back.

This is a wonderful family owned pet store. I go near weekly to get supplies and have always had a great experience going there. As a snake breeder, I see their snakes kept in great condition and mite free. Each habitat is designed to suit the needs of the animal and the birds get plenty of playtime outside of their cages daily.

This place is amazing. It's a family owned store and you can tell they take great care of all their animals. I bought all the essential items I needed to take care of my leopard gecko. I highly recommend them for adopting exotic pets as well as buying supplies for your pets. They are also a great resource for information about care for exotic animals.

It wasn’t too bad, the products were a decent price, and I’m not trying to complain or criticize, but it was honestly very dirty and in need of a major cleaning. I didn’t smell like it could be healthy for the animals to breathe in. Don’t get me wrong, the housing and cages of the animals were not horrible, but I felt really bad for the prairie dogs and other large (and small) pets that were stuck in dirty cages. Im not complaining too much, but imo I feel like it’s a little sad and slightly unethical.

We just purchased a California King Snake from them and they were very very helpful with all the questions we had with it. They even threw in extra stuff for us for the cage we bought. We will definitely be coming back to this store for future items!!! Thanks to Jaydens Jungle for helping us find exactly what we wanted and for making us feel comfortable while we were on their store. Super nice people!!😀

This place is absolutely a gem. I personally know the owners and knew Jayden before his brain injury. They are the most, kindest people anyone could meet. They have rescued animals for years and I have seen a lot of what they bring in. It literally will make you cry. I have seen them literally up for days trying to walk a horse that was lame or just holding an animal and feeding it every couple hours. They take pride and joy in every animal that they help. They have helped some of mine before. They will literally help you with anything you need. People just need to ask. They know what they are talking about. So before anyone leaves a negative review or judges about something they aren't sure of, just ask. I went in there yesterday and could smell the cleaning products from outside. They clean the cages every day. I know most of you don't even shower each day. These animals are treated better than most of you treat your children. Before you judge, spend a couple hours with the people in there. I assure you, you will learn so much and maybe even know every animal's story that's there.

Awesome place. Took my algae eater that is about a foot long. The workers are super friendly and helpful. Great selection of animals that seem happy with the habitat that is provided for them. Exotic animals that must be seen.

Smelled bad all three X'S I was visiting there, the owners 12yr old son is mentally challenged &(his mom) the owner had said something to him about his actions while other customers were in the store & he took my Credit Card right out of my hand & tried to take some other merchandise I had purchased from my arms also....(BAD FOR BUSINESS)I don't know if I'll go back to pick up a "WISH" shipment or not (I'm ok with the mentally challenged) but not when they're being grabby with my personal items!!!

I love animals so much so it's great to see stores like this who rescue animals! People always write reviews saying the animals look sickly. What do they expect? There rescues! I would adopt that African grey in a heartbeat (only if I could)

Had cool animals. But they were neglected and all the reptiles I looked at had mites. Tons of "rescue" parrots that aren't for sale and are in horrid living conditions. Feel so sorry for all the animals there.You can defend yourself however you like but lying is just disgraceful.As an experienced snake owner I know what mites look like. I wasn't referencing lizards the mites were on every snake I looked at and I have never seen/read anyone feeding mites to snakes so....???I am aware of the stories of your rescues. Unless you lied about those as well.I was disgusted by the conditions that those rescues were kept in. Their cages were covered in feces and the bottoms were filled with old food covered in nats.Its so sad that the state allows you to continue selling sick and neglected animals!Its sad that you profit off of those animals and don't feel any guilt about how bad their conditions are.

Awesome place! They have some cool stuff and animals in there. I never knew about this place I was driving by with my wife and kids and just happened to see it so we stopped in. Best/ worst mistake bc we spent $125 on a prairie dog lol!

Absolutely devastating! This place deserves 0 stars! I'm so upset the way this place takes care of the animals esp the parrots. If you're a parrot owner like myself you know the proper way to take care of them and how important it is for thier health and well being. I can not believe what I saw it had me bawling. They deserve so much more. I cant believe these people have them in these conditions. They need to be shut down ! You can tell the parrots are sick due to the conditions they live in. The cages are so small and dirty with no toys. Water is gross and they dont feed them the right kind of food. The parrots pluck which I can 100% guarantee is due to lack of enrichment and them being sick. It's so sad. I really really encourage people to call dearborn county animal control. Please help save them and other animals here. It's so important. Thank you !

I had never been there before and I don't expect much from pet stores when it comes to animal care but geez, this place was pretty bad, none of the animals had proper lighting, all the enclosures were dirty, the male bearded dragon looked very thin and not healthy at all, the two baby bearded dragons were very thin, possibly suffering from mbd, they had Almost no muscle on the back legs, the sulcata tortoise who was fairly young already had pretty bad shell pyramiding which comes from improper care, they have three prairie dogs in a cage that isn't even big enough for one ferret that aren't for sale so that's clearly their permanent enclosure, there was a parrot in the back that is plucking feathers, a clear sign of stress or some other ailment.... I could go on...from reading other comments I see this is a small family business but you gotta do better for the animals you have especially if you're supposedly rescuing them, would not reccomend supporting this place unfortunatelyResponse to response... You don't have to inspect every bulb to know that bearded dragons require a t8 tube uvb covering 2/3 of the enclosure, and the baby bearded dragons had fruit in their enclosure with no greens, guess they could have ate the greens but at that age I doubt it, they want endless bug protein at that size... As for the sulcata if you just got it you got a pass on the pyramiding but you don't get a pass on the bearded dragon that's in a critter keeper it can barely turn around in and I can guarantee with the improper heat/uvb bulbs you have spread out over multiple enclosures almost none are hitting the required basking spot temps.... And I don't know much about p.d. care I'll admit that but I'll research it tonight and I'm sure the conclusion will not be that they should be kept in a cage that size.... I hate to give a small business a bad review but the optics of your shop are horrible, if you have newly arrived animals that are recovering from bad homes they should be quarantined or have post it notes on the enclosures explaining their situation... You can't expect people to come in your shop and awkwardly question why the husbandry and condition of everything is the way it is... I wish you and your animals the best though

Any pet food you can need. If they don't have it then can get it. Plus tons of critters from creepy crawlies to fluffy cuddlies.
