Visited for the first time about a week ago and was delighted with the service and food. I arrived after the lunch time rush and ordered a breakfast selection that was delicious, filling, and exactly the variation I had requested. Interior decor is cute, and I had the pleasure to talk with a local pillar of the community who is turning 96 and visits often for Sunshine Cafe's home cooking. He was full of history of the town and even of the cafe.I was looking forward to trying a cinnamon roll but they are so popular that by lunchtime they had sold out for the day. I shall have to visit again but earlier the next time.While I was enjoying my lunch a local truck driver stopped in to check that their biscuits and gravy were from scratch, and finding out they were he said he was going to make it a point to try them soon.

Best breakfast!! Eggs made perfect and the biscuits were fluffy and crunchy. We tried the wrap, the side of sausage and bacon, the smashed potatoes. All delicious!! And our server was the sweetest and most attentive.We also had a sugar cream pie and brownies to go. The pie was made Perfect -- right amount of sweetness and texture. The brownies were gooey and fudgey. Very rich and delicious.

The biscuits and gravy are to die for you can tell everything is made from scratch the caramel roll was delicious so big I couldn’t eat the whole thing by myself. The prices are wonderful the atmosphere is so sweet you never meet a stranger here. I will definitely become a regular.

As I will tell everyone who will listen, Shay makes her biscuits from SCRATCH!!! And Cindy always hooks me up with perfectly done bacon. I am ADDICTED to their bacon egg & cheese biscuit! My bestie, who is Southern, said their biscuits and gravy is one of the best she has ever had!

If you want good food that you couldn't make better yourself at home, this is the place. I've spent more money here than on my rent. Do yourself a favor, and go get some small town gormet grub and treats! Biscuits and Gravy & the Cinnamon Rolls are TOP NOTCH. Base black coffee is perfectly blended and always hot. Wife gets all the iced coffees and is never disappointed. Shay and Cindy treat you like a buddy, and are very quick, sweet, and attentive. My only complaint is, I wish they were open on Monday's and Tuesdays so I never had to cook again! 😁

This is my favorite place in town. The owners are so sweet (huge animal lovers!!), their carrot cake is PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!!!!! If you have the chance to get some, get it, you will NOT regret it!

The decor was cute. The staff was friendly. We went on a Saturday morning and waited over 1 hr and 30 minutes for 2 breakfast entrees and 1 cinnamon roll. She got our order mixed up but we went ahead and ate it since we waited so long. The food was ok.

Moved a few streets away from here and started going with my partner.Yes, the food is excellent; Homemade and fresh everyday. 10/10 recommended.What you should do though, is call every Thursday and ask if they have spaghetti with meat sauce and you too will change your mind about moving out of Indiana.

Stopped in on Wednesday afternoon for a snack. They had a few options and some very heavy in the calories. I opted for chocolate chip cookie and peanut butter with sprinkles.The pure taste of homemade comes out in the first bite. You can taste the shortening used for peanut butter and it’s like going back to your childhood baking days.The price was amazing! They do take plastic cards so easy to swing in.I was not hungry so could not attest to actual food.Cute clean decor. Family run.Do wish they post their hours on social media to make it easier when traveling there.Update May 2023- Stopped in midday to see what treats they had. I waited for several minutes and no one appeared. I could hear them in the kitchen. I dinged a bell, still no one. There was a customer there, whom I assumed was a regular and got up to get the owner after I stepped out. Needless to say someone from the kitchen came out after I left and got into my car. I wasn’t having it and decided to not buy anything.Maybe a louder doorbell for entry would be a good investment. I won’t be returning for awhile….

I live in Alexandria and I have no idea why today was the first time I’ve visited this cafe. We regret not coming sooner! The inside is quaint and cute. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and a peppermint mocha. My boyfriend ordered the chicken bacon ranch wrap and a caramel latte. It was all delicious!! The drinks were both so good. The biscuits and gravy tastes different than any I’ve had, and is so tasty. The wrap my boyfriend got was huge and he was so happy with it (I tasted it, it was amazing). We’re so satisfied with our experience, we’ll definitely be returning soon! Thank you for the amazing food!

First time visiting this adorable little Cafe. The atmosphere was so inviting, the food incredible (I got the Sunshine and Cinnamon Roll), and service was phenomenal! Everything is made right there, from the breads to the rolls, to the gravy. All from scratch! Though I live in a different town (30 mins away), I will be visiting them again!!!

The butterscotch pie I ordered was... beyond a doubt... the best pie I have had in a very very long time from a restaurant... just heavenly smooth, the egg white peaks were beautiful.... omg... get the pie!! The chicken salad and their biscuits.... to die for. If you are in town around breakfast time, eat here. You will not regret it.

Took 5 friends to Sunshine and Cinnamon Cafe today. Had a great experience. Food was fabulous and Shay, the co-owner, had a reserved table ready for us when we arrived.That warm bread pudding was a hit.Thanks for a wonderful day.

Last Sunday, I googled Alexandria bakeries and this popped up. So I decided to give it a try because of the cinnamon roll reviews.OMG! These are the bomb! Huge roll with just the right amount of cinnamon and the icing was delicious, not overly sweet.The baker was working on some caramel rolls, but I couldn't hang around to buy any.Monday morning I was all ready to try some of her caramel rolls, pulled into the parking lot and, OH NO! Closed Monday's and Tuesday's.So I got there today and got the caramel rolls. Well worth the wait! I also got a butterscotch toffee ice coffee that was also yummy!I will be driving over from north of Muncie quite often for more of the Sunshine & Cinnamon goodies. Check out all she has to offer! Great place! 10 🌟!!

the worse experience I have had in a long time. Too much to go into, but biscuits were hard, sausage gravy tasted like it sat out cold then re-heated, looks like someone ate half of my order, took over 30 minutes for small order, told me cook could only cook one order at a time, ok, girl at the counter argued with me, still tipped and no thank you. no stars, but had to chose 1 to post.

I have had turkey bacon wrap, and potato salad for lunch today...Fabulous! Then we are having the Lasagna, garlic knots and salad. Smells and looks fabulous! Their biscuits and gravy, potatos and bacon .... Wonderful! Love it!

If could only eat at one place for the rest of my life this would be the place. The staff / Owners are so nice. I get so much food for my money!!I have to always get a box for take home. I would give them 10 stars if i could. You can tell they make everything!
