I'm very happy with this facility. When I walk in I'm always welcomed in. We take our new puppy a toy Aussie to doggie daycare. The staff love her and take incredible care of her. We needed to go out of town for Christmas and she stayed for a week. I called and checked on her and she did great. They gave her a bath so she was nice and clean when we picked her up. The staff even noticed her nails needed trimming so they took care of that as well. I highly recommend them for your fur babies!

I loved this boarding/daycare facility! We were just passing through town and going to the local zoo and needed somewhere to keep my pups (three border collies) just for a few hours. The front desk crew was very nice and the owner was accommodating. Definitely recommend calling a few weeks ahead of time just to get everything squared away (i.e. vaccines, dates available). I did not get a call back from the owner previous to our departure, so I ended up calling a few days ahead to make sure everything was still good and it was! I would also like to mention I am very caution with my pups and asked if I would be able to walk them and see where they would be staying and they said it was 100% okay. When we arrived everyone was very nice and allowed me to walk back with my daughter and dogs in tow to their kennel. It was clean and didn't smell and was not a traditional kennel to my happy surprise. The experience was amazing and I highly recommend this adorable dog boarding/daycare facility. Thank you for taking good care of my pups!

The place is clean. If my dog gets dirty they will clean her up for me. I never worry while she’s there because everyone takes such good care of her. My dog loves going and comes home so pooped every time she goes. Everyone remembers myself and my dogs name. Overall I just feel so welcomed and taken care of here. Great place!!

I've seen some negative reviews of this establishment that are just ridiculous. Upon closer inspection, a couple of the 'reviews' appear to come from perpetual chronic complainers who have nothing good to say about ANY business. So alright then...I will speak of MY experiences. This is a wonderful local establishment. I've boarded at least one of my cats there, over night, and the cat condos are roomy and clean, with a view. The entire establishment is very nice, clean, and smells wonderful. At least in the lobby area. Yes, some of the staff are young, but they are employees just like any other, and unless you're there 24/7 standing guard over them, how do you know they're 'constantly on their phones', or 'ignoring the animals'? And if you've got time to stand watch, why are you bothering to board your pets? I'm sorry, but petty, chronic, worthless complainers aggravate me, because all they do is tear down good businesses. The prices are extremely reasonable, and I have always been treated very courteously by staff. The only thing I have ever had issues with were a couple of the groomers. The one I really liked, unfortunately, left. And there was one I absolutely DIDN'T like, and thankfully, she is no longer there, because she had a terrible attitude. But aside from that? Zero issues. I would never hesitate to board any of my pets there.

We are pleased with this place. Our pet has gotten used to the setting and staff. They give her a bath, which is much appreciated. They will clip our pet's nails when requested.

It’s ok. My dog likes it. Me, not so much. Dog comes back pretty gross with urine on her body and with injuries ever so often. Kind of tired of it. When I ask about injuries they have no idea what happened. The urine that she comes home with have it all over her chest and up her legs as if she is stomping in urine all day. Take her in clean and have to give her a bath most days I pick her up. I would prefer to take her daily to day care but don’t want to bathe her everyday. Wish the environment was kept cleaner so that she isn’t getting so dirty. I don’t need other people invalidating my experience. I give excellent reviews all the time on google but when you are disappointed you should make a point about it or it won’t improve. My dog is so happy to go and to see the staff but it’s too inconvenient for me most week days.

Amazing! First time boarding my Greyhound, we went in for a tour, super clean, very professional staff. Went in later that week for a play day to make sure my Grey was comfortable. I was nervous leaving her there (boarding in general) because I have never left her alone. I received text messages throughout the day letting me know she was fine. Booked her a weekend stay and could not be happier. Highly recommended!

Love this place and the important thing is our dogs do too! Every time we go out of town we give this place a ring. As soon as we start pulling in the parking lot my big boy starts whining and wagging his tail. I had to start pulling them out one at a time b/c they get so excited to go inside. The staff are very caring and talk to the dogs just like we do, treating them like family.

My pup has been too Ruff Inn It three times. The first two times there were mostly fine. He came home smelling great and tired out after a few days at this facility. The 2nd time I picked him up, the staff forgot to give me back the blanket I had provided in his belongings, but I was not too concerned as it was a rather beaten up blanket at that point and we were going to be getting him a new one soon anyway. The last time we used (and will use Ruff Inn It), was for Thanksgiving this year. We dropped him off Wednesday and picked him up on the following Sunday. We had called a handful of times to check on him as he is a young puppy and we wanted to make sure he was doing fine during an extended stay. We were told every time that he was fine and doing well. When I picked him up Sunday morning, he ran up to me and peed everywhere. This is unusual behavior for him. He had his tail tucked under himself and seemed skittish. The lighting in the main lobby was rather dark so I did not notice until I got him outside that he also had a cut on his head, a scabbed up small wound on his ear and blood on his chest.I stepped back inside and informed the staff member that my dog had blood on him. I was met with, "What would you like done?" by the staff member. I wanted to know why my dog had blood on him! I was told the cut on his head seemed brand new and that my puppy had been playing rough with the other dogs and jumping on them and that was what resulted in the blood and cuts. While my dog has a lot of energy, he has never had a problem playing with other dogs in the past and I was severely upset that I was not informed of this behavior (if it even indeed happened) or the injuries.Upon getting him home, he seemed somewhat scared to go to places around the house that he had otherwise been fine with before going this last time. He flinched when we made sudden movements for most of the day and has just now settled back into his normal self.I am extremely disappointed and angered that the staff did not inform my wife or I of anything that had happened during his stay and seemingly passed the buck off onto our dog for the results of the injuries. We will not be bringing him back again.

The people are great and it's obvious that they love the dogs they tend to. My dog would never want to go back like she does if that weren't true. She is also quite tired when she leaves so I'm sure she is getting a lot of interaction.Very clean facility, I highly recommend.

I am a working professional. I don’t have the time to be with my dog all day, but that shouldn’t prevent me from being able to have a dog. Her life shouldn’t be spent at home by herself every day. I bring her to Ruff-Inn-It about twice a week now. Whenever I tell her she’s going to go play, she beams with excitement. When I got my pup, I wanted her to be socialized rather than anxious-resistant or anxious-avoidant. By bringing her to Ruff-Inn-It for the first weeks of her life, she developed the social skills needed to function in dog-sciety. At first she had trouble with being stuck in a kennel, because she was too young to play with the other dogs. She became known as the noisiest dog in the day care, but the staff stuck with her. Partly because of Ruff-Inn-It, she has developed a healthy personality.A dog shouldn’t be bought because they have a high price tag. A dog shouldn’t be miss-read. A dog shouldn’t be looked at for its genetics. A dog’s eye color shouldn’t come before love. All a dog wants to do is stay, and play. Ruff-Inn-It is a good place for that.

I usually board my dog with my vet, but due to Corona they are not boarding at this time. They recommended Ruff n It Inn as an alternative. I called them last week and was told about the $27 nightly fee and vaccinations needed. I took my dog in today to get her lepto booster and canine influenza vaccine. Ruff n it Inn and my vet both neglected to inform me the the canine influenza vaccine is 2 steps so she would be unable to be boarded. Luckily I found accomodations for her because I'm dealing with serious medical issues. I know they have regulations for the safety of our pets, but I'll be forever taking my business elsewhere, because lack of information left me in a bind.

The place is staffed by teenagers who dont care about animals. They spend their time on their cell phones instead of with the animals. The owners dont even care about the animals. They allow sick dogs to stay overnight without staff. The daycamp is just a concrete floor with no toys or activities.

Ruff-Inn- It is the best place for Buddy! He stayed there four weeks, and during that time, they gave him lots of love and attention. When I picked him up, his toe nails had been trimmed, he'd been bathed, and all of his bedding had been washed. Oh....and Shelly even had someone there after hours so I could pick Buddy up! I drove Buddy 60 miles to stay at Ruff-Inn-It, and it's the only place I will leave him when I travel. HUGE thanks to Shelly and Randy for their excellent care!!! Lisa and Buddy

We have taken our labradoodle to Ruff-Inn-It several times. We are very pleased with the facility & staff. Our dog loves going there. He loves to play with other dogs. All we have to say is 'Doggie Daycare' - his ears perk, his head cocks to one side and it looks like he smiles. Thank you Ruff-Inn-It staff for making his stay away from home fun!

Best kennel in the Mt. Zion area. I am comparing to DeLong Bed and Biscuit, Sawgrass Kennel, and Almost Home Pet Motel. This place is very professional. It's a very clean, new facility in a very convenient location within the town. The people that run it are very friendly and treat you and your pet very well. I am impressed and will continue taking my pet here. We appreciate the high level of service and quality they provide.

The first problem occurred during drop off for boarding services for my dog, Cooper. I had called earlier in the week to confirm all was ready as I had not used this place before. My Vet faxed over his records to prove his innoculations were all up to date. The dates were not confirmed and when I dropped Cooper off (a tri-color corgi) the dates were booked for the next month. Oh well, they accomodated me. Reason for three stars.Upon pick-up I was extremely disappointed. I was asked when I would pick up. I responded “when you open, Monday.” They must not have believed me. They open at 6:30am. I missed my boy. They were not ready for me to pick up. Cooper was freshly srayed with that cologne they use on dogs, still wet. He had not been fed breakfast yet or given his meds which they were very careful to charge me for even though it was in his dry food. I did not care about charge, wanted to be certain he got it. His behind was streaked with dried diarrhea. That led me to believe they clean them up for appearences, not continued great care every minute! My dog is extremely dear to me. Through a disability, a divorce after ten years, a move from Las Vegas to Illinois after 20 years, the lonliness of the following ten months, he was my only love and companion.I take great care of him and dote over him because he is beyond important to me. Has been since I got him as a puppy, eight years ago. He has some health issues. I care for him and make certain he eats on time and is medicated on time.Ruff-Inn-It was reccomended to me by a man in a wheelchair. I assumed he would understand how important this creature is to me. Other reviews talk of how the dog was happier when dropped off for boarding than at home. That was NOT my experience. Perhaps I had a rare bad experience. Maybe I am over-protective of my boy. He is alive. His basic needs were met. For that I am grateful. Perhaps I place too much importance on my Coop. Maybe I am one of those people who value thier pet as another being. I am that. I wish I were leaving a glowing review. I do not like to be difficult and usually avoid confrontation. This upset me greatly. That is why I spoke up. For persons who love their pets as much as their hearts can love. Be very careful.Funny (NOT), they had Cooper in their computer as being other pet aggressive. He is not and has never been there before. Where did they come up with that information?

MISTY shaved my Sheltie down to the skin. I told her to cut him “short” and to call me if she had any question. Do NOT get your dog groomed here. Then continues to tell me she has a witness that I said to cut him short, I never said to SHAVE my $2,000 dog. Anyone with a brain knows NOT to shave a sheltie because their fur protects them for many different reasons. Unbelievable. I don’t even care about the money I spent on this service, I am devastated and heartbroken that my dog doesn’t even look like my dog. Then misty proceeded to call me a LIAR when I said I didn’t want my dog trimmed this way. Instead of being apologetic, she proceeds to call me names. Whatever, call me a liar, take my money, but at the end of the day my dog was mutilated in this establishment.

Lily loves going to day camp. She gets so much attention from the staff and loves the interaction with the other dogs. The staff always goes out of their way to meet our needs. I wouldn't think of taking her any other place.
