The whole deli department needs to throw all the old expired food away. The salads and chicken are dried up and they need to start over with fresh items for sale. This is a neighborhood store and we deserve better. Come on jewel step up your game. We don’t need to get sick because of your negligence.

I want to give it 5 stars because selection and everything else store should be is there. The prices seem normal to me and you can catch some very good sales. Walmart shoppers need not apply. You guys are going for the lowest price on everything anyways. My only complaint is sometimes the lines get a little bit long. I purposely shop there during off hours and never, never on a Saturday. Seems to take a long time for them to respond. And that's why I gave it four stars. My last experience was Sunday morning shopping for Mother's Day flowers. They have the best selections of flowers and always seem to be in stock!

My biggest problem with this store is expired items. Mostly the activia yogurt I was just there and they have 4 packs of vanilla yogurt that expired on 11-10-23 today is 11-27-23 employees are always standing there stocking items how does this go unnoticed? So everyone check the dates before buying from this store.Also the carts that employees leave by the yogurt needs to stop. If you could train employees that are stocking to move when a customer is looking at items that would be well common sense but they don't know to do it.

I will like to share what I've seen today at your store in zion illinois 1400 21st .There was an older lady in line and don't have enough money to pay for her food and the cashier DELOWN pull out his wallet and pay it for her.God bless him he was so nice he don't even think twice about it.I really hoping that this review go all the way up to the CEO of this company and acknowledge him for doing a great job and for taking care of all of us .Today is November 9 .

The employees were amazing! My son & I split a very large shopping list. We hit many, many departments, had lots of questions & everyone was so cheerful!! First time for us in this store & it was a great experience!! Quality & fantastic employees.... What a win!!!

This Jewel-Osco is so disrespectful to its customers. Visiting there to purchase vegetables for a Greek salad, I was shocked at what this Jewel is trying to pass off on customers. Every vegetable I picked up was moldy and or very old. Cucumbers were soft and wrinkley, bell peppers were $4.00 each and were ready to be thrown away. Small bag of mini peppers were molding in the bag. I find most Jewels have the worst vegetable departmentOf all grocery stores.This stores prices are higher than most other Jewels because they know they are the only store in the area. If there are other like stores in immediate area the prices would be lower. This is what big corporations do, no matter if it is a poor area or not, and this is a poor area. Don’t shop here if you can help it. Most items are over priced.I was sad to see a cart filled with Chef Boyarde and Nilla cookies, that a mom and son were wheeling to check out.Before you go, look 👀 below 👇 and tap on the 👍.

This is a great location. If you go in the evening, there is a very kind and helpful duo bagging and checking out. Definitely recommend this location for customer service alone. Thank you again for the chocolate milk!

I have been shopping @ Jewel Zion store for minimal items there for 30+ yearsAlso shop @ the store in Gurnee as wellThe only difference is the store manager in Gurnee is always on the floor stocking shelves, taking inventory or even running the floor scrubberI have never met the manager @ Zion and don’t even have a clue who it is as there is no pic of him or her at the entrancesBy the way, the Backery is terrible compared to the other Jewel stores

Watch the produce section. I bought some garlic peeled and it was expired. When I went back to return it they wanted me to exchange it but they were all expired and moldy.Update 12/23Produce section has gotten better! But all the milk expired the next day. When I asked about it they told me they wouldn't get me one from the back until the ones sold in the cooler first. I'm not going to use a gallon of milk in a day so I went somewhere else to get milk.

Jewel-Osco is a grocery store that also has health & beauty care in pharmaceutical items so it could be a one stop destination. they have a very good selection of meats. They have a great selection of different cuts of beef pork and chicken. They also have great seafood selections. Their produce section has a lot of variety and a lot to choose from and it is all very fresh. They're frozen food section has lots to choose from also all different types of variety of things that you find in stores . The store is very clean and very organized and well stocked. The employees there make your shopping experience a good one they're very helpful very polite and friendly. The sales that they have at Jewel are very good and are worth the trip

The quality of the employees in the Zion store has continually gotten worse as time goes on. It's almost uncomfortable to shop there now. Clerks in the store and the deli are dressed in hooded sweatshirts with the hoods up. This makes some customers feel uneasy. They don't make eye contact or present a friendly greeting as prior employees did. I used to do most of my shopping there, but don't anymore. I'd rather drive to Wisconsin to shop in stores that have a safe, friendly atmosphere.

Employees ALWAYS standing by entry doors smoking cigarettes, for those of us who do not smoke it is annoying to have to smell the nasty smell of cigarette smoke when we go to shop for groceries. The manager is one of them so no need to waste time reporting it. Can't you people go in the back of the store to inhale your coffin nails?

Would give zero stars if I could. There's more employees standing around on their phones than working. Stood in the customer service line for 24 minutes just to have my time completely wasted. Highly unorganized, and the customer service counter worker offered absolutely ZERO customer service. I traveled to the next closest Jewl-osco location where I was taken care of without a single issue. Your customer service desk workers need better training on Western Union protocol. Also your employees shouldn't be aggressive or aggravated with a customer before even speaking to them. Very chaotic environment for a grocery store. Sad thing is understaffing isn't a issue at this location they're just not willing to put down there phone and help.

Cheapest gallon of milk when you buy 2 at 2 for $5. Jewel brats and sausages BOGO. Used my Jewel app to save $ on pizza and dog treats. Found some chicken legs and thighs at 50% off lowest price. Went home happy with what I needed and what I found.

This is another location of the jewel osco grocery store chain. It was clean and not crowded while I was there, but the layout and aisles are a bit confusing. Prices were reasonable, and they had a particularly good selection of gluten free snacks. Self checkout worked better than I would have expected. So yeah, go here if you need groceries and are in the area.

Absolutely not-Everytime I absolutely have to stop here- there is constantly a worker smoking by the door. Even if you use the bike rack and put on a mask you have to pass a worker by the entrance. I’ve reported this issue over three times. They simply don’t care and haven’t changed anything for years.

First time vistor, store was clean, very busy with lots of shoppers. Wasn't able to find everything, as items were out of stock. Deli person had an attitude, seemed uncomfortable and didn't want to serve me. Courteous employee at self checkout helped me with the problem scanning items.

The quality of food has not disappointed me. I have spent hard earned money at Jewel - Osco every since it open. There is no mistaking I am satisfied. The new look is nice clean and gives a makeover of health.Zion has always been a healthy community and family friendly. I like shopping stress free.
