Paul is the absolute best crew member I've encountered of any hardware store in ages. He was thoroughly engaged in the details of our project and didn't leave us until he knew we had everything we needed. I'd come back to this menards just to run something else by him. Can't say enough. Give the man a raise!

Based on other reviews it does seem management has changed here. I went here today to buy a grill. I could not find help so I went to the service desk. Hardware "manager" Colin was called up. Neither he nor the front desk lady to could be bothered to even fake the fact they didn't want to be at work. No greeting. No smile. I asked about assembly - "No we don't do that". I asked about free delivery as Home Dept is doing a promotion - "No. We won't deliver your grill for free and we won't assemble it". To which I said I would take my business to Home Depot. This supposed "manager" just replies "OK". Just obviously miserable to be at work today I guess. I get it. No one wants to be at work especially retail but at least try to act like you care. Some of the most miserable people I've encountered in retail recently.

Purchased a new front exterior door and did exactly as I was supposed to, sending in the 11% rebate coupon with the rebate receipt. I received the rebate in the mail a couple of days ago, but it was short by more than $100.00 of what I was supposed to receive. I attempted calling the store to get help from the manager, unfortunately that was a dead end. The manager and the general manager both suggested that a right, a The manager and the general manager both suggested that a write a letter to rebate international? Does not make a difference that I have copies of all paid receipts, the store is unwilling to help or get involved in any way.There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE NUMBER for Menards corporate to assist or help with this. Very disappointing, has the 11% rebate that they were promoting is the reason I purchased the door from this location versus going to Home Depot or another store. This has left a very bad taste in my mouth and will likely affect doing business with Menards in the future for any type of major purchase. Very BAD Experience!

This is my go to shop. I'm a great believer in value for choices and service. Cashier's know how to make it easy and pleasant. This is my granddaughter Eleanor's just received furniture from Darven into a picture pink one coat paint job in four hours.

I've been a customer to Menards for years. They have great prices and just about everything in one store making shopping easy. This yorkville Illinois location is very clean and the staff is pretty knowledgeable and great customer service. An employee named Chris was extremely helpful to me on my last visit. He was working in the door section.

This used to be my go to hardware store. Now they’re charging $5 fee for propane refill due to some ‘new law’. Other local refill places aren’t charging this fee.

Management has gone hill at this location. Overall we love Menards, but this location misses the mark on customer service and quality. Recently purchased a reasonably expensive bench from the Yorkville Menards which started to rust significantly within days of being outside, where it is meant to be. After emailing pictures of the oversized and heavy item supporting the claim of the problem, the GM's only offer was for me to disassemble the product and bring it back for an even exchange. All I asked for some a little rust proof touch up paint, which for a hardware store should have been nominal. Now to corporate I go, and I will not shop at this location again. Kyle the GM, is the worst retail manager I have dealt with.

Looking for bracket to hold broom ,& two mops. Did not find at all. BUT did find shower grab handle with suction to stick on shower wall. already have one. It works great.

At $2.97 a bag for this all purpose topsoil at Menards I expect a few rocks and twigs and maybe even some clay but the sheer amount of clay clumps, rocks some an inch or bigger and peices of tree branches is ridiculous for this price. Bought six bags to fill holes in lawn every bag same thing. 2 stars rating reflects overall product quality/pricing at garden center. Going back to home depot for garden/landscape needs.

Was pretty disappointed in this menards. Garden center was freezing cold, had only a hand full of plants. Not much garden stuff. I walked each aisle. Looked for humidifier and never did find. Got tired of looking, 2 employees who just 'seemed lost' I gave up. Check out girl was the friendliest and reminded people of their rebates. Which was nice.

It's always a good experience grabbing new items for your home, especially when you get a rebates to come back and get more stuff. Honestly they do have just about everything you could need for home repairs and remodeling

The store is overall not bad. Appears to be relatively clean, fairly organized, & easy to locate stuff. The workers can be a bit more friendly & helpful however. They usually have a good selection of holiday decorations when you go during the holidays which is pretty cool.

Big shout out to Sam. I was in Sunday and needing to repair or replace a window screen and Sam was friendly and kind. Would walk me to where I needed to be and help me find the item. Would ask if there was anything else I needed. I would say no, not realizing I did need more help. He never seemed irritated or annoyed at all my questions. He made me feel comfortable and acted like he truly wanted to help. Thank you Sam!!

Very helpful and friendly garden department staff and cashier. They didn't wait to be asked, offered greetings and assistance even guiding me to the areas and specific products I needed. Carts were plentiful. Checkout was courteous and efficient.

Menards always has great prices, and a wide variety of products. The lumber yard is fantastic, and the lawn & garden center is extensive. It would be nice if their appliance section was a bit more robust, and their tool selection while plentiful, does lack brand recognition & quality.

Ordered door, they took 24 days to get here, that's fine. Go to pick them up and find 2 big chips on one. Now we can do 3 thing wait 24 more days , take the doors with a whole $20 off or pay the 20% restocking fee and buy a different one in stock. Store manager didn't want to talk to us or even wave the restocking fee. I'm glad we are moving, have bad experience with this store over the years

Products are great YET the staff the last 2 times going there were either rude at checkout or while i was shopping throughout the store. Tossing my bought belongings into bags and stuffing them in each bag...no nice attitude but a snarkiness about her. Today I experienced another rude employee while walking around collecting my items. Fairly dissatisfied. If it wasn't for the fact you have good items and sales I probably wouldn't continue to shop at your store.

Today I went to Menards to refill my propane. The cashier told me I had to pay for it outside. I have never paid for propane outside at this facility. I went outside and really didn't want to try to figure that machine out. So I went back in to the return desk and asked if I could just pay for it there. The lady at the counter generally acted as if I was inconveniencing her. The other lady at the counter told her just to do it. I paid for the propane and went to get it filled. The third lady who told the one to charge me there filled my tank and was generally nice. I have never had such poor customer service at this location.

Nice, clean store. The employees are all very helpful. Menards just doesn't carry some things ( riding lawn mowers) for some reason, but they do have other things you wouldn't think of!! I do love the place.

Got kicked out because I am of Hispanic decent. I feel very threatened and don't think I will be going back. The worker followed my companion and I as we left the store. He watched us from the doors until they quit literally shut on his face. Very disappointing.

Huge selection of tools. More than big orange or big blue. Better prices than the King of Rural. Don't like the first come first serve when it comes to their rental trucks though. Went to two different stores after being told over the phone that they had enough available only to have them all be gone when I got there. Ended up going to U-Haul for the same price.

I have had much success with Menards products and systems. Their buyers are quality conscious and provide us with the best selections at competitive cost. From roofing, siding, paving, plumbing, electrical, flooring, decking. I have used all and I am totally satisfied.
