The store was clean, however there was a lot of stuff on the shelves that it made it hard to look. Things were just shoved into any empty spaces they had. Pricing wasn't bad compared to some other local Goodwill stores.

Chaos and filth! Overpriced, Broken, torn, peeling, dirty items. You have to sift through things on the floor or try to dig items the out of overstuffed shelves. Glass items falling off of shelves and shattering with kids nearby.Disputable Company-wide procedure - At the end of the day most things end up in the trash compactor and sent to landfill regardless of condition rather than offering a 99¢ bin or sending elsewhere to be sold or given to poor.

The store is large, And they have lots of parking. the employees are friendly! their prices keep going up, And they have so much clothing you can't even separate the hangers to pull something out! they're jammed in so tight probably because their prices are high and they should lower them to get rid of the stuff to put new.

My last complaint was about prices being higher than the original price tags but that doesn't even come close to what's going on with the store now.I've been going here since this goodwill opened. It's always been organized, cleaned and nice. The store has become chaotic in the past month. You can hardly even shop. I'm assuming it has to do with being understaffed? Who knows, but management needs to get their ducks in a row because this place is almost considered unsafe. One nasty fall due to the stuff thrown on the floor and you're going to have a lawsuit on your hands.

This is the worst Goodwill store I've even been in, and the smell when you walk in is disgusting. Idk how people work in that stanky environment all day.. some isles are a mess and there are alot of overpriced items that they get donated for FREE.. won't be back. They need to fix the stink though, this store has a potent awful smell

The Yorkville Goodwill is my favorite store. The store is always clean and organized. The staff are efficient and pleasant. Any of the 1 star reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. I myself have seen a Karen who called the police there for no reason except to cause unnecessary drama because she didn't get her way. If you enjoy a safe, affordable place to shop come here but it you're a nit picking, complaining pain in the behind go elsewhere.

You can’t look through racks of clothes at all, they are so packed! I noticed that their prices have gone way up and they are sitting on all their merchandise. Another senior shopper beside me said, she was having trouble pulling out a top to see it. Thrift store is no longer affordable for low income families. Lower your prices and you’ll move more inventory! Less goes to the landfill!

Most of the workers are friendly, but I have to say the store itself has been so messy the last few times I went. I couldn't move my cart down several aisles due to so many things on the ground. They've begun putting so much out that you can't touch anything to look at because you're afraid everything will fall.

Really like any other Goodwill. Also, we're in the middle of a pandemic, of course you have to wear your mask??? This place is completely fine. I've never had any trouble with the workers either. They're just enforcing the rules that they HAVE to enforce. Please don't take your anger out on them. Anyways, i always find really cute things here. From fun little statues to comfy clothing, this place is definitely my go to for nice affordable clothing.

I went to this store for the first time last Friday and unfortunately, that will be my last time. As I was shopping, a lot of the items seemed to be a little overpriced for it being a "thrift store". Also, I witnessed a few workers being rude and unmannered to some customers over nothing really. When I finally made it to the cashier with stuff that I found to be reasonably priced, the cashier I had was a bit snobby and rude as well. She wasn’t very friendly and she had a terrible attitude. However, there were two workers who were very friendly and assisted me without any hesitation. One of their names I believed was Cynthia and the other I can’t remember but, I know it started with an A. Overall, my experience wasn’t so pleasant and I don’t advise anyone to shop there.

Buyer beware.The online goodwill return policy states that you can return items within 10 days for store credit with receipt and tags on. I purchased $180 of pants for my SO to try on and went to return the ones which didn’t fit. They said that is a goodwill policy but not for their location and didn’t allow even a store credit. I tried to returned them less then 24 hours later. When I showed them the policy for Goodwill online and explained I would not have purchased so many pants had I known, they said goodwill stores have different polices for each area.

I was excited to make the Yorkville, IL location my weekly stop for craft supplies. Unfortunately, they have everything marked so high that it is equal to buying it brand new and at times more than brand new.I feel that is ridiculous. When politely asked about it they made no excuses and even after it was pointed out the items were actually marked higher than brand new they would not consider lowering them. Personally I won't support a business that gouges their customer base when their inventory is given to them for free. Greed at it's worst :(

I’ve been shopping at this location for almost 10 years. The most recent arrangement of aisles is super inconvenient as they are too close together. Regardless what time of the day you go, it’s ALWAYS busy but the aisles are crowded and it’s really frustrating trying to move around the store. Then you add the fact that they no longer provide bags for their merchandise and ask if you want to donate more money at check out?? No thanks.

This store was very disorganized. The one thing I needed was a dress and that was one of the clothing categories they chose not to sort by size and I don't have time to sort through four racks of dresses.

So drove 45min to this place to be told by a teenager rude I may add..... put on a mask! I explained I was vaccinated and had my card. Was told so what I do too and I gotta wear one. Put it on or leave. Well sweets I dont need your over priced junk. Make the CEO a millionaire..... I sure the hell wont be. As well keep using the fact these kids have learning disabilities to get ahead.

I LOVE Goodwill! But they are the only store in Yorkville I go to that are ruthless about mask wearing. It’s so ridiculous! Let people decide for themselves if they want to wear a piece of cloth that keeps out 9.8% of particles. Read the box they come in...They told me and my daughter we had to leave because we had no masks...we walked out and went to Marshall’s, Target and Caring Hands where they let people shop freely...

I walked in and I was trying to put my phone away to put my mask on and the girl at the door started yelling at me to put my mask on or leave the store I told if she gave me a minute, then she followed me throughout the store and I had my mask a little under my nose because I have cancer and can't breath with it over my nose and I told her so and she went and got the manager and she told me if I didn't put it on my nose I would be escorted out the store. Both her and the door attendant were very rude. I do not recommend this store if you have a problem breathing.

Once it was a good place to shop. Now they make It very difficult to buy the couple of decent items that are in the store and prices have become vintage store prices. The good and friendly employees have all moved on and the difficult people are all that is left. Still plenty of parking.

Wow! The Manager there was incredibly rude because I walked in without a mask. I was turning around leaving and she was yelling a foot away in my face. What a Psycho..! Lost my business. Good Luck with her representing your store!

This is one of the better goodwill stores in the local area. I've been to 7 or 8 stores in the region and this one is very clean. The staff even though busy in the large store are always helpful. If the checkout gets too long they always have staff to help speed up the process. There are new items every time I venture to this store. Great Place.

Everything is so junky here. I've heard Goodwill sorts out the best items for sale on their website for max profits now. I've bought a tent in the box with a bunch of holes ripped in it, a little Target cabinet in the box with broken glass panels, a lamp with shorting wires. Prices aren't good either. The workers are super nice and helpful every time I've donated or shopped. But honestly, don't even bother!

This Goodwill has good merchandise turnover with occasional Target clearance. Things are usually clean and well organized. Staff is friendly. Unlike some other locations, it isn't overly crowded and the checkout line moves quickly.

I've shopped here multiple times over the last couple months and have always come away with huge scores. Also, on weekends, you can get discounts on their already super cheap stuff if you sign up for their membership-card-thingy. I signed up several months ago and haven't received any junk mail or spam calls, so no worries.

Friendly helpful staff at this location and very well managed store.This location is very organized and clean. Large selection of clothes, shoes, and furniture. Other items include: toys, puzzles, kitchen appliances, books, and collectors / higher end items in glass securuty cases.The donation drive-up & drop-off outside the main store is brilliant. No worry drop-off because it's well staffed and ready to help unload your items.Goodwill has put much thought in upgrading the shopping and donation experience. I shop here often and always find a bargain.I highly recommend Goodwill and this well managed location.

A nice place to find vinyl records and other oddities. Typical Goodwill store, not much in the way of customer service but I don't expect a whole lot from a place like this. They do need to figure out electronics better, charging nearly retail prices for 2-year old tech is crazy.

Out of the many Goodwill stores I've gone to, I believe this one is my favorite! Lots of times I've left here with a cart full of items! The merchandise is set up well and organized. LOTS of clothing items to choose from; not only are the clothes separated by color, they're also separated by size which is a huge benefit! The store is clean. The employees are helpful and friendly, although sometimes it's hard to find an employee to let you in the fitting room. Whenever I'm in town, shopping at Goodwill in Yorkville is at the top of my list!
