I went back to Ace to spend the birthday gift card they mailed me on some more BBQ rub. They were grilling pork chops out front and giving out free sandwiches. I liked the seasoning they were using so much that I got two.

If I could rate them one star I would. I bought a Stihl chainsaw from them and they wanted to sell me additional specialty gas, and I told them I have my own that worked on my chainsaw I showed the associate the picture and they told me that would work since it was already mixed. They told me how to operate it and I went on my way, the next day I went back because the chainsaw was not running, they held on to it for two weeks and then told me that I ruined the motor. I only ran it for 20 minutes because it wouldn’t stay on, when they gave it back to me they had emptied out the reservoir and put a sticker on it saying I burned the motor. I asked to speak to the manager and told me I messed it up and they couldn’t do anything about it. I am extremely disappointed because they blacklisted the motor and I got stuck with a lemon…the manager was extremely rude as well. She wanted me out of the store because I wasn’t happy with how they were treating me. If I could I’d give them 0 STARS

I 1000% do NOT recommend buying a Weber grill here. First grill i ordered arrived covered in scratches and gouges. When I called the guy was defensive and not apologetic at all. He offered to order replacement parts. Instead I opted to return it and buy a bigger model, since the one I ordered was not in stock. Replacement grill came and within the same day the starter stopped working. Called the store back and they refused to do anything about it. They assembled it at their store. This time no offer to replace anything. I'm just SOL.

Went in to get screens repaired. Two small screens will take two weeks. Seems a bit long. The ace website states that they offer riding lawn mower batteries. I was informed that at only certain locations. Ace needs to clarify that better. Walked by three employees who didn't acknowledge me. Seems like there conversions about their families were more important than helping a customer. The gentleman who helped with the screens was relatively nice and informative.

Absolutely no communication about the $600 chain saw I purchased. When I called to ask about it, I was told they were on back order. I don't understand why I couldn't get a phone call. They took my money immediately but it took 5 weeks or more to get my saw.I love sthil but will absolutely find a l other dealer.

Drove 45 minutes to this ace for a specific item the website said it had in stock. I get there and tell the guy what I'm looking for he walks me over to it pulls it off the shelf and tells me it's been sold online an hour and a half ago. So why does it say it's avaliable rite now 1 in stock? If it's sold pull it off the shelf. I guarantee if I wouldn't of said anything I could have walked out of the store with the sold item. Thanks for nothing.

The cable connection on a piece of my GPS equipment broke and I was told by the manufacturer that I wouldn't be able to find replacement anywhere but through them. Went into RadioShack and Jeff helped me find the parts I needed and make a new cable. He came up with a $10 fix for $30,000 equipment. Couldn't be happier. Everybody was courteous and helpful.

This place blows! Tried to return something I bought from the Aurora store because this was closer to where I live but because this Radio Shack is practically non-existent inside of an Ace Hardware store, they barely have any inventory and because most of the stuff I was trying to return, they didn't 'stock', I was told they couldn't take it back. They didn't tell this to me on the phone when I called so I wasted my gas and my time for all this. Wouldn't recommend Radio Shack to anyone anymore as they are so overpriced on everything anyway and I certainly wouldn't recommend this one for the above reasons.

The radioshack part is clearly dying as Radioshack has become a weak company. Cool how this one exists though and is 2 miles from my house. Jeff is a really friendly guy. He also has knowledge about the electronics. I bought a steren counterfeit money detector there for fun

The Ace Hardware in Yorkville is actually a pretty cool spot they sell Stihl Power Equipment and have a RadioShack support center I would call it right at the beginning of their store where they sell everything from speaker wire to a little diodes and capacitors the bathrooms are clean and the employees are friendly it's a pretty nice place.

This store does not honor the free assembly and free fuel and free delivery for grills over $399. I purchased a grill for $459.99 and wanted the free services indicated online and I. The ace commercials and the store did not honor any of them.

For such a small place they have pretty much everything you may need. Prices may be higher but when you need that certain thing you cant find anywhere else, I'd bet Ace would have it. Quality products also.

Ace used to be the place to go, now you can't even count on them for screws and L-brackets. Common staples of any hardware store, and they only have 1 box of the screws I need (not an uncommon size 1½“) and no L brackets in the size I need.
