Just had my 3 dogs groomed by Sally. She seemed very accommodating after blowing off a Monday appointment. Previous to my grooming, I texted weights and pictures of each of the dogs and she gave me a quote if $195 for all three including a full groom. Some time passed and I texted her to schedule when the dogs were due and she told me she left because her boss had mental issues and she was uncomfortable working there. Fast forward to when she texted and let me know that she and her ex boss worked things out and she was independent of him, and simply leasing space. Today, dogs almost done and she sends me the cost which she graciously discounted to $300. She told me her boss sets the prices, while the boss when I was paying denied having any control over prices. Lies, lies, lies. Then to top it all off, there was a huge strip on the back of one the dogs where she must have been so rushed and distracted, that she used a blade with no guard. No response to my text. Phoenix has been going to Baxter’s since he was 8 weeks old, now almost 7 months . From the time we walk in the door , he enjoys every minute. Amazing products and staff.

I enjoyed finding natural treats for my dogs. The owner helped me get a discount by adding a third treat to my purchase. The store was neat and clean, and Baxter was a friendly greeter! He even let me rub his belly! My puppies loved the tough chew toys we brought home. I will definitely visit again!

Absolutely love shopping local for my dogs needs & wants! Stopped in at Baxter’s Pet Depot to check out the new kid in town! The store was extremely bright and clean! Products were easy to find and fully stocked!The owners are absolutely wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly!! I was Chewy.Com user for 5+ years & Baxter’s Depot brought me back to shopping local!!

I started taking my dog here to get groomed a few months ago and have never been happier with his appearance and their prices are so reasonable. I was paying on average 40.00 more at his old groomers and was never happy with the end result. Highly recommend this place. They also have so many great toys and products and couldn’t be more friendly!

Great, independent, local pet store. Operated by the owner himself, an incredibly kind and helpful man.Knows his inventory in and out and happy to guide you through all his products.He has pet washing facilities on site which he also donates for use to local rescues and said they host recurring events for adoption.This place is a gem and it deserves your business.

This store is such a cute and welcoming store. I picked out some cool hides and treats for my mice. And an adorable dog mom mug! Everything looks great and the aesthetic of the store is so gorgeous! Baxter is a very sweet dog and loves to get attention.

To each their own experience, but to me, it seems to be going downhill. Let me start off by saying I was wowed and happy to see this place come to Woodstock. It started off fine, but in the past few months, it seems to have started to just become meh and I have returned to going to the big pet stores again. Their aquatics department/ isle is lack luster. A few very basic things, but quite a few of the items I need to keep my tank healthy are either not there or significantly more expensive than elsewhere. While I do acknowledge small business can mean more expensive, there is a limit to that. I have also been unimpressed with their fish selection. Maybe 3 or 4 different kinds of fish, but nothing like the big stores that have to the likes of 20 kinds of fish. Just meh. It also seemed like they had a solid recurring staff that was there, but in the past months, it seems as though they have new staff and they are just not the former staff. I have had great visits with the owner when I am there, but when the owner is not there, the store just seems like a secondary thought with how it is left. I understand they have worked a long while to make it a dream, but it just does not seem to be working. Just the other day, I was out running errands and needed a new toy for my dog, so I decided to give them one more shot. As I walked in, I was greeted by yet another new staff with no owner to be seen. As I was standing in the dog isle looking for a new toy, I was amazed that neither of the staff came to ask if I needed help or had any questions. But that was just a small blip of an “issue”. The real issue was that in their dog section, half of the shelves were empty! Now, I do acknowledge needing to restock things, but for half of the shelves to be empty?! I fail to believe THAT many people came in to buy THAT many things THAT recently! And it did not seem like they were in the middle of stocking them at that point either. Suffice to say, I will be returning to the big stores for, at the very least, the consistency and dependability.

Victor the owner is so incredibly nice and helpful. If he can't provide or serve you, then he always has great suggestions to answer any questions or requests. You can tell he cares greatly about his store and loves his customers. I highly suggest choosing then as a local woodstock business to take care of food and supply needs. He's has great local feed in stock and a good variety to choose from.

Totally turned off. We walked in and it smelled like a smoking bar. You smell cigarette smoke once you entered, and it became stronger as you began walking down an aisle. We turned around and walked away. The interior was no different than the old Ace Hardware. I was anticipating some coloring on the wall or more modern shelving...something fun. With that smokestench, I hope the dog toys do not smell. SorryBaxter, but we will not be shopping at your store. As we were leaving, we noticed someone was smoking just outside the back door. Unfortunately, the back door was open.

I needed to get Farmina cat food for my senior kitties. Of course I had the nagging thought of going to the next town over for simple cat food.I decided to give Baxter's Pet Depot a shot. Crossing my fingers that I wouldnt have to waste time and gas to go to another town.I was VERY pleasantly supersized to find a clean, friendly environment with a PHENOMENAL selection of pet food. And sure enough they had the exact flavor my senior babies love. And to top it off its CHEAPER than other stores in the area.Victor and his staff were super inviting and friendly, very knowledgeable and personable !I am so thrilled to have this new gem just 5 minutes down the road.

I came in the other day and Sarah was incredible. My cat was sick and she was right there to guide me. She juggled customers and the register with ease and her knowledge was amazing. My cat and I totally appreciate Sarah's help!!! Thank you for moving into Woodstock!!!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BAXTER'S!!! They treat all of their animals with respect and have excellent customer service!!! Bought a betta to replace one that passed away,for my husband. Wouldn't go anywhere else from now on...🙂❤

This place is the best!I get my 2 crickets a week from them for my Jumping Spider along with some tasty gourmet dog biscuits for my dog Lol.They are always super friendly .

I'm very disappointed with there false adverting with the correct open times. I have attempted multiple time purchasing dog food at this store and it is never open when claiming to be.
