Ordered a pick up grocery order, tried calling pick up multiple times and then 10 pm and of course no one answered before or after. So my spouse called the Walmart customer care or whatever just to be told that she “can’t find a manager and that there is no manager on shift currently” and that we would have to come back tomorrow. I let her know that I highly doubt there isn’t a single manager there and that I’d be coming inside.Long story short a manager was found and they they went to the back and got the small $20-30 dollar order. Hence the three stars for the lady that did end up helping us. But still pretty upset about being ignored via phone calls lied to by another employee.

Their customer service managers at the service desk are really rude. Especially the shorter squat hispanic looking lady with the long dark pony tail and the taller black lady with the glasses, both work during the day. I have had issues with them before and they act like they are better than customers

Today you lost $100. We were shopping and one of your Instacart employees rudely told us to move while we were looking for cemetary bouquets. We did not buy the electric razors we came to get. We did not finish our food shopping, so probably more than $100. She was petite, dark haired, middle aged, Hispanic? Olive skinned, dark haired with a nasty tone of voice.

I have always had great experiences with the staff in the store and pharmacy today they went above and beyond first the battery on cart died one of the workers brought me a charged one and moved my groceries to next Cart then when shopping few others help me find things I needed after checking out it was storming bad employees was trying to keep people in it was storming lightning bad Windy they update on weather I have never had a bad experience at wood River Illinois Walmart you have the nicest and helpful workers

The store is very clean. Most of the time it is well stocked. They have a great selection of so many items. It is a one stop shop for me. Self checkout is fast and easy.

I was a very hard worker for this company from August 2023, up until March 2024 when they terminated me despite me saying I have mental health condition, this goes beyond just that issue,I felt targeted every day, when i would work in the frozen department, the workers there would always give me pallets by my self to do, then turn around and say I'm slow, on top of that one Manager would constantly move me around different departments even when my work load wasn't done, and I stated that I hate being moved around a lot as this causes me a lot of stress, but the manager never stopped doing that until I lashed out at him, was told there would be no retaliation, then boom two weeks later I'm fired for ethic reasons. Let me say this was a great place to shop, but DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY IF YOUR MENTAL HEALTH IS IMPORTANT TO YOU! If they care, they sure never acted like it. I'm without a job, was forced into a mental health hospital because of my meltdown, and I just put money down to buy a trailer home, so they screwed me, and my family over, I can never forgive them, and I'm now traumatized to even step foot in a walmart, thank you for that Wood River Walmart!

For the first time ever, a young lady came out, asked for the name on the order, & said, "We'll get that right out for you."And they DID!The guy who brought it to my vehicle actually handed the cold items to me one at a time so I could load them into my huge cooler bag. (We live an hour away now, so it's definitely a necessity!)He loaded everything else into the back carefully - so much so, in fact, that nothing got smashed or destroyed in transit! I am very grateful!

I arrived for a pick-up and had been waiting for well over an hour. I observed numerous employees passing by without acknowledging me until a man named Garth approached. He mentioned that he had noticed me waiting for some time and wanted to inquire about what I was waiting for. Although he initially couldn't locate me in their system, he eventually found my order and promptly retrieved my large order. Garth displayed care, kindness, and helpfulness throughout the interaction, apologizing for the inconvenience. I appreciate his dedication to customer support and commend his work ethic. Thank you very much!

It's a typical Wal Mart if you have been in one you have been to them all for the most part. Leaving a 1* for the fact I have been to this location numerous times but I am starting to get tired of the number of soliciting people this store allows at the entrance. I get fundraising is needed but it gets old and I stopped looking at what new group needs money now. It would be nice to go to get my shopping done with out having to be stopped every time you come in and out of this location

Whoever was working electronics(12-19-23 at 4:41pm) after they messed up and put a 2TB in a 1TB price colomn(behind glass!) (meaning we didn’t touch it… it had to have only been the employees back there. Was cussing up a storm after he said “well there’s nothing I can do.” And tried to charge us $169 when the price said $119. I don’t think cursing and causing a scene is proper customer service but what do I know. I’m just a customer that didn’t appreciate his little childish temper tantrum. And this is at wood river Illinois Walmart.

This is probably one of the better Wally world's in my area. I don't normally shop in the supercenters as I have mobility issues. It was not a very inspirational setting for Christmas shopping... minimal decorations and no one wished us "Merry Christmas".

DO NOT go to this Walmart's automotive department. I am here for a simple battery purchase and install. My battery is behind my tire. So, I would have preferred it to be serviced and not deal with it myself. BUT I HAVE BEEN HERE FOR FIVE HOURS, AND MY CAR HAS NEVER ENTERED THE BAY

Super disappointing that the baby changing table is just out there in the open. I unfortunately had a very cranky child who blew out everywhere and I had to change her out in the open with people coming and going. It just doesn't seem right. Parents and baby need their privacy... for an obviously renovated bathroom, the dropped the ball.

Too little space to maneuver a cart, along with personal shoppers everywhere, who totally ignore regular customers. Not a pleasant experience anymore!

Most of time orders are all filled. I do the pick up option because I'd rather shop in the comfort of my home than walk around in the store. Plus It's easier to stay on budget!

Prices never match what is shown, unfriendly associates most of the time, bathrooms are never clean or open for that part up front, 8 associates watching the self check out but they would be so much useful ACTUALLY checking people out in 1 of multiple lanes that are NEVER open.

I have a Walmart MoneyCard & needed go withdraw $14,000 to buy a truck. The self check out cashier called security for me withdrawing my money off my Walmart MoneyCard at Walmart & called security & they said I have to leave & banned from the store because they are trespassing me so I said you have to call the cops to trespass me so call the cops & we will wait right here for them but of course they wouldn't call the cops & then I said yeah that's what I thought & they didn't record any of this until I was walking to my car & they started recording so I said ob now you want to record well come closer so you get my licenses plate & told them God bless have a wonderful day! Needless to say I withdrew the $10,000 left on my card after I withdrew the $14,000 & Walmart will no longer make money off my savings interest so nice job Walmart employees who think they are the law!

Worst store ever ran by the worst store lead ever Erik Nash . A place where they set you up to get you fired and don’t hold higher managers accountable for there actions but instead let them take the easy way out. Pathetic, but expected.

The workers there seem to pick who they will help out and whom they won't I purchased a battery from there one month ago and because I didn't have a receipt they won't return or exchange when it's clearly the battery they have on shelf even same box they looked up my transactionand showed me I bought it there and declined me because the battery wouldn't take a charge .......after 2.5hrs if dealing with teenaged kids I get a manager who looked to be the same age and buddy with the employees as they joke around and then decide to tell me there wasn't anything they could do to help ...wasted my money my time and confidence in the upcoming generation of people.i can only hope a company who continues to operate at a disatisfactory level will close soon

I live in St. Louis but I choose to shop at this Walmart in Wood River. The employees are so friendly and knowledgeable. The place is always sparkling clean. The produce looks good and I can find interesting grocery items. There is excellent management.
