I am going to make this review, short and direct.Rachel & Co. is a charming little coffee house that serves up a good cup of coffee. They also offer sweet treats, delicious breakfast sandwiches and a variety of light lunch items.They've got a relaxing patio for when the weather is cooperative and a comfortable dining inside as well. If you've got work to do, they have free Wi-Fi available. One of the best things, is they are dog friendly.I've been multiple times and at each visit, the staff has been charming aka friendly and professional.It's a great little local coffee shop, that I highly recommend.

Today was a chilly, rainy day. Ava & I went ice skating in East Alton and decided to make Rachel & Co. Coffee Shop, our next stop on our Christmas Adventure Day together. Ava had been impressed with this coffee shop because she had heard good things from some of her teachers at school after they had received a special treat from Rachel's before Christmas break.I was also impressed as soon as we walked in the door. I love all the smells of a coffee shop, even though my idea of a coffee is a Mocha Frappe from McDonald's. I'm always up for trying something new, so we asked for recommendations, and they did not disappoint!Ava got the Christmas Cookie Iced Coffee, and I got the Frosty the Snowman Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha. McDonald's Frappes were a distance memory from the very first sip. I wish I could pack up Rachel's and move it to Gillespie, IL, where I work. Although I'm afraid too much of my paycheck would find its way to their cash register if it was located closer. Very affordably priced though, in my opinion .I love the cozy corner with the electric fireplace, just begging you to sit and sip next to it. Plus, the random decor and fidgets laying around added a nice touch and a bit of whimsy to the place.I also added a sticky bun to our order because it was calling to me and my empty stomach through the countertop display. It was served warmed, which made it even that much better. Every fork full was a delight for my taste buds. So delicious!I would highly recommend trying Rachel's for yourself. As I mentioned, I am not much of a coffee buff, but I do know friendly customer care when I experience it and a place with a great vibe and potential to just keep getting better and better.Thank you, and I wish this company all the very best!

I got a caramel macchiato and the chocolate blend, and then I had the burrito for breakfast. I love it so much because the drinks aren't too sweet and the burritos is delicious ✨I can't wait to try other items on the menu. The staff and the owner are so nice and friendly, and the place is so cozy too 🏻i absolutely will be back.

Absolutely gem in the city. Coffee is amazing, and some of the best I have ever had. Refreshers are also amazing, with a large selection to choose from. Food is also great from the specials that are offered on occasion to the everyday menu, you can always fine something to satisfy your needs/wants. Rachel and Jonas are some of the best people I have met, and I will forever be a customer!

Can’t say enough great things about this place along with Rachel herself. Very friendly and was excited to share recommendations and details about menu items. The vibe at this place is perfection. Loved the open air feel on a sunny day with some outdoor seating options too. I plan to be back soon. Point system available for drink purchases.

Rachels has the BEST coffee and service in the area. And I'm a coffee snob. Rachel & Co not only provides amazing coffee, they have been a breath of new life into Wood River. Do not compare them to any other coffee place, ESPECIALLY national chains, there is no comparison. None. The coffee is excellent, the service is outstanding and the owners commitment to our area - unmatched. Do yourself a favor and go to Rachels. Support local and get the best coffee around.

UPDATE: I went again and it still wasn't super happy but I did not try it until I got to work. I am an iced vanilla latte girl and get it multiple times per week from local places like Shivers/Germania. I want to love it as it is closest to my home but its just isn't good the way it comes.... Its like the iced lattes are flavored with unsweetened flavor and I would assume its extra to alter it but ones from other places don't need altered. They are so nice and the place is so cute which is why I kept the 3 stars but I am just not impressed. I wouldn't recommend the iced vanilla latte or the iced toasted marshmallow latte... the toasted marshmallow also came with chocolate and it was aesthetically pleasing but wasn't good quality.I went in around 6:15am a couple days ago and the people who work there (I believe its just the owners right now) were beyond nice and gave me lots of options. I wanted an iced vanilla latte and a caramel macchiato (for a friend, I didn't try!) and the vanilla latte had WONDERFUL coffee flavor but I couldn't taste any vanilla so next time I go I think I may need to ask for another pump or something but will be back!

I’ve been here a couple of times since their opening and I love it! I work as a driver and sometimes it is hard for me to stay awake but energy drinks and coffee typically give me anxiety and I shake too much, I tried their lotus drink and it gave me the perfect amount of energy and did not give me any of the anxiety! It is honestly the perfect drink. I love their different flavors. I’ve tried the blue raspberry and the watermelon and they were both great! My boyfriend went with me the first time and tried the strawberry smoothie and he also really loved it. I definitely recommend to anyone who loves refreshing drinks and who wants to support a local small business! I was counting down the days for them to open because I never got the chance to go the first time. It’s typically not that busy when I go either so I can get in and out.

The lady I spoke to was very nice and was able to help me find something that I liked. the inside is very homey and has a nice aesthetic. their house blend wss also very good and they have a large selection of coffee as well as pastries. Finally there is a parking lot behind the shop which is nice since most other parking is on the street. overall i would recommend this its a nice little locally owned coffee shop!

Great coffee, great food. I had the chicken salad on a corrisant and an Americano. The menu was loaded with creative hot and cold beverages. It's a really unique and incredible coffee house.Parking: I was concerned about parking based on comments, but there is a public parking lot a few steps away.
