I haven't eaten at DQ in over a year because of the disappointment I've had the last few times. We decided to try this one out since it was in a different city and we had a long day and wanted something quick and easy. This is, by far, the BEST experience I've had in years at Dairy Queen. I can't remember the last time my husband and I ate at a chain that actually filled us up for less than $20 without any complaints. The food was fresh and hot, and the burger looked almost exactly like the picture, which is super rare. You could tell the fryers were clean because of how the tenders and fries looked. The place was clean and the employees were all friendly and on top of things. It wasn't rush hour which of course makes it easier on the staff, but they weren't super slow either. There was a small line (maybe 3-4 people consistently) the entire time we were there and at least 2-3 tables with people dining in. If I ever find myself craving DQ, I'll be going out of my way to go to this location!

So every time I have ever come by this place it's packed so this one day I try my luck and let's just say I was not disappointed not knowing what all the served the guy there was patient with me, my ice cream.and food was ready in no time the chicken special is what I got I can say they need more chicken less flour some people really forget it's about the chicken not the flour but overall I loved and enjoyed myself

I understand your busy and possibly short staffed but this was disgusting! I stood at the counter and watched as no one even cared it even looked like this. Is it that heard to keep something for the employees to use to clean up nearby. It doesn’t take that much time. It made me not want to even eat inside the building. This is not appealing to any of the customers.

Dairy Queen’s are usually hit and miss as if they have different vendors for their ice cream mix and cones. I got a large cone from this location today and it was best I’ve ever had from DQ. Very smooth and flavorful ice cream and even the cone was great. Tasted like the wafer in a little Debbie nutty bar. Most locations cones have little to no flavor like thin cardboard. I’ll be back!

Every time I go to this Dairy Queen, every person working there is SO polite and nice. Even when they are piled with cars in the drive thru. They still go above and beyond to treat each customer like they are the only customer. Best Dairy Queen in the area, by far. Thank you for your gracious attitude, especially now. Something so hard to find in many stores these days!!!!

Fantastic, especially on a hot day like today. Got my peanut buster parfait with chocolate ice cream and pecans instead of peanuts. Jim got Reese's blizzard but wasn't chopped up enough. Big big chunks in it. Did get his box of Dilly Bars that mom gave him a birthday gift card for. Service was very nice. Lobby very clean.

First thing is there's no mention of operating hours so you don't know when they're closing. Second thing is I've worked all facets of food service and the 100% most hated person is the last minute customer. I hate to admit it was 10 til 10 when I got here last car in drive thru. So when I got to order I asked if they were officially closed and she says no not officially then proceeded to not hear or understand what I was saying or was silent. Had she said it's okay go ahead and order it's fine nope nothing so I left and will definitely never return to this Dairy Queen.

This place has to have the slowest drive thru of any fast food restaurant in this area. I have had this issue every time I have visited this location. Apparently they always make my blizzards before getting the food to the cars in front of me because they are always really soft and have already started to melt by the time they hand them to me. It's a good thing they don't do the upside down blizzards test before giving them to me because they would probably just dump out on to the ground.

Food is always hot with a short wait time. However, I often have to go thru a second time because they miss a dinner I've ordered while in their drive thru. To be clear, they don't short me items paid for, it's like they just fail to hear 1dinner each time I order.

This is the second weekend in a row that it was a terrible experience. The evening shift is terrible. And had they handled the situation better, the problem wouldn't have been that bad. We waited in the drive thru for over 20 minutes.... Just to get our blizzards and they were melted and the wrong ones. Last weekend I didn't have a banana in my banana split. (I can't make this up lmao) then tonight all they kept doin was making excuses. Like their ice cream has been super melty today..... Like what?? Then she completely interrupted me when I was talking to yell at another girl to come "deal with her drive thru" then they still messed up the replacement order. Rude and unprofessional and once I was inside, seen how gross it was in there. The whole evening staff needs to be retraied on how to deal with customer. Especially ones that have a problem

I placed my order on the app for 2 large blizzards and still had to wait 30 minutes... and that was after I had to go inside and ask about it and no one even apologized for the wait. And when the person who brought out my order they didn't apologize either. And there were no napkins in the bag either... Really?!?! Who eats ice cream with no napkins.

Ordered food around 9:50pm, the girl who took my order never looked at me even when she took my money or handed me my food. She forgot to give me my drink. When I called up to report this mishap, I was answered by a not so polite manager whose customer service skills left much be desired. It took longer on the phone trying to get my drink situation remedied than it did for me to get my food from drive thru. Food taste and quality was mediocre.

The food is fine if you get it fresh. I sat in line for 15 min tonight waiting for my order. They apparently got the person's order in front of me wrong. I know it took 15 min because I had an app coupon that had a timer on it. I was able to show the window person the coupon with 45sec to spare. The only reason I stayed and waited was because my wife wanted a blizzard.

This location is such a huge disappointment. It is run so cheaply. They do the absolute minimum when it comes to customer service and portions. They rip their customers off. I have never enjoyed an experience here. Blizzards are flavored until you get halfway through it. "Served upside down or the next one is free." They have never done a real flip. Typically, they dont even try. Their machines should be kept at a lower temperature than what they are set at... To save the owner money. Blizzards aren't supposed to be like a milkshake... The location may be convenient when we are out and about, but they have lost my business for good. I am happy to make the drive to the one in Bethalto - where the portions and flips are plenty.

The young kids working there are so friendly and it's nice to see high school kids taking on responsibilities and getting experience with work. They have the best burgers, always my first choice and the chicken strip baskets are so good that I get them when I don't even care for chicken strips. They sell their delicious soft-serve in quartz so I only get my ice cream there because you can get the best cheaper than the grocery store at Dairy Queen

Their char-broiled double cheeseburgers are very tasty - that's why I have continued giving them my business, off and on, for 20 years. They do have a problem though; they habitually get the orders wrong.About every 4th or 5th visit they somehow manage to put the wrong toppings on my sandwiches, even though I'm extremely precise when I make my order, because they have done this on such a regular basis.Unlike any other fast food franchise, when they get your order wrong, instead of taking your name when you call to report the messed up order, so that they can replace it when you next return, they tell you they'll be happy to make your order correctly when you bring the incorrectly-made order back to them.Fast food is supposed to be not only fast but convenient as well. After you get home and discover they didn't listen to you when you made your order, the last thing you feel like doing is driving back when you're hungry and ready to eat.Wood River Dairy Queen has done this to me many times in the past and I actually boycotted them 3 years ago. But I ended up going back about a year later because their double cheeseburgers really are good.The owner of this store himself told me that he "can't afford to replace orders, and besides, lots of people will lie just to get free food." Really? Dairy Queen throws away the orders that are returned! But he CAN afford to lose business? I guess he's saving money by discouraging dissatisfied customers to give up and totally forget about making a complaint.Having worked as a manager in fast food for decades I know that restaurants typically replace wrong orders, free of charge, and without expecting the customer to bring the food back to them. When you call to tell them they made your order wrong they keep your name on a list. And if it ever becomes obvious that someone is complaining too often that their orders are done wrong then they are banned.I've had enough this place. They seem more concerned that their clientele are out to scam them for a burger than they are in providing satisfaction. Burger King's just across the way, I won't be coming back!

This is the best Dairy Queen in Madison County you don't get better food or service from there employees at any other DQ my opinion those employees should be making 18.00 per hour cause they fast food but serve you like a 5 star restaurants WILL RECOMMEND EVERYONE I KNOW TO GO HERE
