The aisles are almost always blocked by carts full of merchandise that needs to be put away. You can't even see the store displays. Items are consistently in the wrong place, so you don't really know the price. It's dirty everytime I go there. I instead use the Zion store.

Amazing friendly employees and good cross selection of items available makes this the go to general shop in Winthropharbor. While the store is crowded, it's never a mess and items are easy to find. They have a great location right in the middle of town. I wish some of the customers were nicer to the employees here. They are the most easy going, friendly, and helpful employees at any Dollar General I have been to.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I know them all by their first names! Great location - right in the center of Winthrop Harbor. I go shopping there every Saturday to take advantage of $5.00 coupon and say hello to the great staff.I wish our Dollar General offered fresh produce, such as fruit, since there are no other grocery stores here.

This location is my hometown store and so I visit it regularly. I have NEVER had a bad visit. Tish and her team work very hard to keep the store clean, full, fronted and faced. I have ALWAYS found the service to be nothing less than stellar. When I need to shop, including groceries, excluding butchered meat, this location is where I visit. I highly recommend this location of Dollar General.

Pros: friendly staff.Cons: let's face it almost all Dollar Generals leave something to be desired, but nowadays we do what we need to to save a buck or two. This location started off pretty good. Clean and organized. Recently build from the ground up. However after a few years it is just as messy, and hard to navigate through clutter filled aisle's as the rest. Actually the aisles of this one were built more narrow than older stores, and now with shipment and stackouts piled on.. you barely can fit a cart through each aisle. Not sure how they get past fire codes and aisle width regulations. Definitely not handicap accessible.

Go to Kenosha or Zion at all costs!!

This is my go to local store when I need things for my home and don't feel like going to a big box store, namely Wal-Mart or Jewel. I can find everything I need. But the biggest reason is the customer service. I look forward to seeing the team members especially Tish, the store manager, Keon and Jason who cover the store at nights. All are so personable, make you feel important and that your business matters. I highly recommend this Dollar General location.

Just like every Dollar General, the store is messy all the time. Employees are always really nice though, I think there just isn't enough of them. Most of the time the prices are decent, you either pay a little more or a little less for items.

Disrespectful employees, no clean restroom, told to run across the street to the gas station dispite physical disability. Overstocked isles block by carts with no access to main products on sale that are out of stock.

Always clean and helpful staff during the daytime. The only issue is they have a lot of shipment/overstock sitting in the aisle and blocking aisles a lot so that leads to not being able to purchase some things because you cant get to it....

Wouldn't let me go to the bathroom while i shopped. I understand the mens bathroom was closed but i really had to go. I just put merchandise back went somewhere else to shop.

This DG in W.H. was clean, had things there that not all D.G. Stores carry. I was pleasantly surprised! I don't normally use that store however, I found it surprisingly full of things I use!If you're looking for a $$ Store, that one is a Great one to go to!

Finally a dollar general with stocked shelves...what the heck is going on with the two zion, Il locations shelves away empty. If your going to spend all this money on remodeling your store stock them!!!

Just got a car, and it was starting to snow, Dollar General came to the rescue with a snow scrapper. I couldn't find it, as they were changing merch to spring, but staff found it immediately.
