My husband called to see when they closed and said he needed mulch. We got there and I went in to pay for the mulch. Three male employees were standing at the registers. When I told them what I wanted one of them made a big deal of looking at his watch and told me I was pushing it. This caught the attention of another customer who wondered why he said that. He told me twice that they were closing in 6 minutes. 6 minutes. We got our mulch and pulled out at 5:59 as he was locking up. I could have spent my $100 elsewhere, and probably will from now on,

I recently purchased two items. One was marked on the shelf $2.24 but rang up as $3.59. Another item was listed with the regular price of $13.99 but rang up as $14.99. I only notice the ine item and said something to the clerk. Her reply, oh the prices haven't updated yet. Really. I love doing business locally but I am not about to accept bad service or complete lack of transparency. Not cool

Off the beaten path if you’re not from Bago, but worth the 20 minute drive for the customer service. I took the screen insert from my storm door out to be repaired. Irv at the hardware desk took great care of me, from start to finish. Very friendly and above and beyond service. The cost was very reasonable. Good luck getting anything close to this at a Big Box Store, or anywhere in Rockford. I’ll refer anyone to Sullivans Ace in Winnebago.

Thank you Tyler so much for making new key fobs for my broken key that broke off the fob!Other Ace hardware’s wouldn’t make new ones and a locksmith wanted $240 ! My 2015 equinox key fob was only $90 at this ace hardware! Definitely worth the travel to Winnebago. Thank you again Tyler.

Terrible customer service!! Would give Zero stars if that was an option. Purchased 2 gallons of paint that were not the color I ordered. Didn’t realize until I had to purchase more paint to finish the job. Color wasn’t even close and had to spend several hours repainting with the correct color. Refused to give me any refund even though they mixed it wrong. Wasted $80 and several hours of my time. Cashier was rude and said she didn’t care if I ever came back or not. Apparently Ace doesn’t care about customer satisfaction and repeat business. Drive the extra 15min to Rockford if you want to get what you pay for!
