I don't know if in this store not much Hispanic going to buy something but when I was there for pickup snow shovel I order online and is the only one store they have in stock toro brand? So the store manager not really nice she looked me like not trusted costumer she not like Hispanic I know? I feel she not like Hispanics but finally I spent over $550 dollars because I buy a ARIAT WINTER JACKET FOR MY WIFE? AND SHE SAID OHHHH? ITS EXPENSIVE GIFT? Hispanics we like spent money as well? But really not good experience in this store

I really think this is the best Ace Hardware that I have ever been in. They have a huge selection of grills and smokers. I'm going back for a Traeger. They have a ton of Carhart and other quality clothes.

Prices are outrageous. Sometimes 3-4x higher than the same items at Menards. There's just no reason to shop here unless you absolutely need something immediately & don't have time to drive out of town. To make matters even worse, the prices often ring up at the register higher than they're marked on the shelves too. Happens very frequently to the point where it almost seems intentional, in hopes that people won't realize it when checking out? I still find myself returning just because it's in town, but I almost always regret it.

The "BEST" Ace-hardware store that I have ever been to. U will understand as soon as u walk in the doors u will see how much more of a selection of items they have compared to other locations. Who ever owes that location. U can tell that owner has pride in his store, from the little details. Like the type of bags they use at the register, or how they actually take the time to set up individually separate areas for specific items with signs from those brands hanging up in those areas. U can tell how they actually see u as a valuable customer. I have nothing but good things to say about this Ace-hardware!!

I've become sort of a "regular" here since we recently bought a fixer-upper house in the area. The staff are always friendly, able to help me find what I'm looking for, and also give suggestions for better solutions than what I may have came up with.I'll be back, not only out or convenience, but because because of the staff and reasonable prices.

In the sale flyer Ace was advertising buy 5 qts oil, get a filter free, well turns out Ace doesn't even carry filters. Why advertise that? Or at least give a sixth qt. in replacement. Just saying. But I like the store, just wish prices were a bit cheaper.

Nice staff but to small of store! For the higher prices i expect better selection! I try to support local but u make it hard! Telling me the store in Braidwood or another place has it is not an acceptable response. I will just go to menards in joliet at that point

I go here all the time when I need things for whatever random project I'm working on. Ace, as usual, is a little more of a premium price compared to menards or other bigger chains of similar stores. Ace however seems to have a friendlier staff, and a few more odds and ends. They sell some nice name brand apparel and accessories too, check it out.

Ok for a forgotten part... Prices are on the very high side due to the lack of local options. Owner knows this and takes advantage of it. Can barely get a bargain when using $5 or $10 off coupons that are mailed to you to get you to come in.

Bought a still 38 weed trimmer last month. Second time I tried to start it it wouldn't start. I brought it back to Whitmore ace in Wilmington, the service guy tried for 20 min. Then took the plug out , then the air filter... it took a lot of pulls and it finally started.He tried to hand it back to me,I said there was something wrong and I thought he should give another one. After me refusing several times to take the broken one, he said he would give a new one, but if that breaks I would be cut off. He told me I bought the cheapest of the line. I finally got him to give me my money back.Seems Stihl isn't as good as they used to be. There stores Whitmore Ace don't back their product's or costomers.
