At this Jewel-Osco 1517 Sheridan Road, Wilmette store number “3471” on New Year’s Eve. I was accused of theft AFTER purchasing my items. I was approached by 4 employees there one being the manager and when I showed them my receipt only one of them apologized. I then contacted Wilmette police to file a report. This was a hate crime. I will be letting the local news know about this incident as well. Their excuse was that they had a lot of recent thefts at this Jewel but that’s not a defense towards the way I was treated. Common sense would be to ask the cashier if this guy purchased anything before actually confronting me. The general manager gave me attitude instead of apologizing. I’m glad I made a police report of this racist store. Never coming back here again.

I had grown to like this store but on my visit just now at 6. They had 1 cashier. 1. I wanted to buy two things. I was in line behind four carts full of all their groceries for their families for the week. Very annoyed because I didn’t have twenty minutes to spend in line. I’m only giving them two stars because they gas the beer I like even if I couldn’t buy it.

I only stop here when I don't feel like driving to Walmart. This jewel is way too expensive like all the other ones. I cannot justify shopping there. Unless it's for cheap chicken Monday

This store had only one check out and the line was wrapped around the corner. The girl at the service desk was so rude when asked for another check out line. Also rude when asked about a bag with handles. For this neighborhood I’m surprised the store still exists.

Worst checkouts. Always a question of whether to go here because while it’s convenient you often wait 5-10 minutes to checkout. During which I will write reviews (like now). If anyone from corporate reads this please put in a self serve checkout you will make more $$$ here.

Cozy local outpost for major regional grocer. This little Jewel is kept tidy and well-stocked, and friendly, veteran, helpful staff will gladly search back room for what may be missing on shelves.Fine selection of ready-to-cook items at meat counter and custom orders are only a day away. Good choices for beer and wine despite limited space. Efficient deli staff and decent cheese shop, a fairly new addition.Busiest times are noon and 4 p.m. if one seeks to avoid the (c)rush.

Small selections, sad produce, no hot food. Overcharged me yet no one at customer service, saying manager quit? Had to wait long line again to correct it. The guy (maybe bagger) raised his voice instead of apologize for the mistake. Would not return again until they get their act together!

This is a small Jewel with convenient parking. It has a range of foods and liquors with a small bakery and meat counter. Staff are friendly, the store is always well stocked but has a limited number of choices due to its relatively small size.

I live in Evanston and absolutely hate our Jewel. So I stop here on my way home from work. It is fantastic! It is a very small Jewel. They don't have everything a normal Jewel has. But I'm fine with that. Because the staff here is always great. And it's always the same people checking you out. It feels like a small local grocery store. Plus it's clean. And you never have to wait in long lines like Evanston. Of all the Jewel grocery stores in Chicagoland this is the best I have ever been in.

Pretty sure my girlfriend and I just experienced being racially discriminated against at this Jewel on 12/21/2019 by one of the cashier clerks while paying for our groceries. We were second in line to pay for our groceries and there was an older lady in front of us who was first greeted, asked what type of bag she wanted for her groceries and was then asked if she wanted a receipt for her purchase, ending with a friendly wish for a good evening to end the interaction. The interaction went by as any normal friendly interaction would be.When it was our turn to pay for our groceries, we were not greeted, we were not asked for the type of bag we wanted to use, were given our receipt without making any eye contact throughout the transaction until the cashier rudely said, WHAT TYPE OF BAG DO YOU WANT?? as if annoyed by us, we replied with plastic and were given our groceries without saying a word to us.The third person in line was then treated with the same friendly attitude as the first person in line before us.My girlfriend and I are hispanic, but did not speak a word in spanish throughout this interaction or did anything different to what the other 2 customers did, but were clearly treated differently with what I can only assume was our physical appearance.Normally, we are not the type of people that assume everyone is out to get us and that everything is a racial thing, but seeing how drastic was the change in attitude towards us vs. the other customers, I can't think of any other reason why this happened. We left the store with stupefied by the experience, and am curious to return to the store and get cashed out by the same clerk to see if this is a repeatable behavior as this is unacceptable, even more so for someone that works in the customer service business.**Jewel Osco, you should consider investing on your employees going through some type of unconscious bias training**

Living in the area I stop at Jewel several times a week. The staff is super friendly and ready to help if needed. The produce is always fresh and I can usually find what I need on my grocery list.

One of the worst grocery stores I've ever been to. Yes, it's a little cramped. But the worst part is the other customers. Arrogant, pushy, rude, entitled wealthy people. If you like people shoving you out of the way, completely ignoring you when you're trying to pass by the aisle they are blocking, and giving you the stink eye, you'll love it here.

I was treated extremely disrespectfully just now at this jewel they raised their voices at me and did not let me buy groceries for christmas and i still bought over 200$ of groceries. Do not shop here. tempted to return every single thing i bought
