First time we used their services for our puppy’s 2nd cut ever. Great customer service. Explained everything, from pricing, available services and what to expect. We will be happy to return for cuts as well as nail trims and in between hair trims.so happy to use a local boutique!!!

Whoever the new owners are they are very inconsiderate to the needs of their clients. My pup has been going there for years and has always been treated kindly and understanding to my pups anxiety, just recently I took her there for nail clippings and they said she needed a muzzle because she tried to bite her. WRONG my pup wouldn’t ever do that they mistook her anxiety as a reason to torture her with a general muzzle they didn’t even fit her and caused her more mental pain trying to put it on, it didn’t even fit her. When asked if I could put her on the table so she wouldn’t be scared they refused. But the dog right before me was violent towards other dogs there and didn’t have to have a muzzle. Good thing I was recording to catch it all, whoever Is in charge of this place now shouldn’t be! Beware of how your dogs are treated there now they may suffer trauma for no reason other then they have no compassion for animals no matter how much they say they do.

The groomers here always do a great job with our 100# Golden Retriever. We were so happy to find them! I'd give them 6 stars if I could! Brinkley is never nervous to go and is always beautiful when we pick him up. He's a fur machine, I don't know how they make him look so nice!

Convenient. Friendly. Professional and your digs don't smell worse then when you brought them in. We have a German Shepard named Annabelle. And a black lab named Louie. They are a bit high strung. We pull right up to the door, and staff comes out to get them. Oh, did I mention the great prices? This is the place.

I have been taking my dog bruce here for sometime now and he always comes out so fresh and so clean. Betty has so much patience with my little Bruce, he can be a baby with his nails. I always recommend people to this place. I have been waiting for Betty to come back from maternity leave so I can take my Bruce.

I’ve come to Barkin for a few years now, today was the last day I will ever give them my money. First, I call to check if it’s okay to come in for a nail trim (it was 1:30pm, they changed their hours for nail trims to end at 2pm), the receptionist responds with attitude, come before 2 or come tomorrow, after I say I can be there in 2 minutes as I live down the street, she continues to repeat or you can come tomorrow, as if I still didn’t have time. I say no and head my way to them. Everyone has a bad day so I get it although I’ve never taken my personal issues out on a PAYING CUSTOMER. But hey someone people are clearly different. As if the attitude wasn’t enough, they bring my dog in and go to trim her nails, they can’t even bother to wipe away the dog hair from a previous dog that they groomed. My suggestion to the manager, have a conversation with your employees about customer service since clearly they lack that skill.

This place is fantastic! The staff is incredibly friendly and real animal lovers. Wherever, I drop my dogs off I feel comfortable that they are in good hands. They return to me looking and smelling fabulous. Last time, the groomer, Britt, mentioned I might want to have my one dog’s ear looked at because it might be infected, that was such a considerate act. I love taking my dog’s here, they do an amazing job at a very fair price. Thank you!

I have 4 Bichons, and they have ALWAYS done an amazing job on my babies hair. One of them is a blond dog, and the care she receives is outstanding! I highly recommend this place! They even fixed my Copper’s hair after I thought I was a groomer! He looked outstanding! I will forever keep recommending this location! Great great great service! The only thing I would recommend is some type of family discount for multiple pet homes! Other than that great establishment!

We switched to this pet grooming salon when our regular groomer unfortunately got COVID in 2021 and have been coming to Brittany with our Westie and Scottie ever since! Brittany does a fantastic job, paying careful attention to details like eyes and ears. She is able to give the "standard" or "traditional" cuts to both dogs while keeping the length short enough to allow the haircuts to last a while. We are so pleased to have found Brittany and Barkin' Boutique!

I paid $60 for grooming of my small dog.It included extra $$$ for nail filing.I got home and didn’t notice until the following day that my dog’s nails were not filed or clipped.It’s the last time I ever go there

I would give zero stars if I could. My dog was returned wet injured and not all nails were clipped. I had to pay in full before even seeing my dog. Bring a towel or two when you pick up your dog and you may have to visit a vet afterwards. RESPONSE to Barkin' Owner: My dog is a FEMALE.You must be mistaken on the actual dog that bit one of your groomers. When I picked up my dog she was. WET, Agitated and Shaking . Too bad Illinois does not regulate this particular business and its practices.

I brought in my cat to get a lion cut today, and I was very impressed. Up front, the groomer checked with me to make sure exactly how I wanted it trimmed, and also made sure the shampoo etc she was going to use was okay - I really appreciated this since I'm allergic to some shampoos (and cats like to cuddle) but don't always think to ask about it. Also, they have fixed pricing which was nice.When I picked him up a couple of hours later, he had a great haircut that was exactly like I asked for. Even more importantly, he was surprisingly relaxed and when I got him home and out of the carrier he was not agitated at all. I'm pretty sure it was his first time ever getting professionally groomed, and as far as I can tell it was a good experience for him - he seems much happier with a clean/trimmed coat! My other cat gets a lion cut every spring, so I will definitely be bringing him in when the time comes - and probably be visiting them for nail trims etc too. Would definitely recommend Barkin' Boutique for cats (and I'm sure they are just as great with dogs).

They are the best here! I take all three of my dogs there and they could be a handful but Rachel and the girls are great with them! They treat them as if they were their own dogs! They always do a great job!

They do a really great job. I love picking up my dog and them not having to go to the back to get her. It makes me feel like she's safe there and they aren't trying to hide anything. Everything about this place is great. :-)

Made appointment for 9am when they open on Sunday. It's now 910 and still not open. A lady in vehicle next to me who is waiting as well contacted owner and owner said sorry she will be 15 mins late. "Ok " nice of lady in vehicle next to me to let me know because owner sure as he'll didn't or care. My dog is 15 years old and 90%blind and o0% deaf. It's a big ordeal to take her. The only reason I went to this place is the mobile groomer recommend her. As my dog was a little to large for mobile groomer. I will go back to happy tails in Brookfield they are great just father as I live in Lagrange highlands now. It is now 945am and supposed to open at 9 and said would be there at 915. I'm not wasting another minute on this place. Bad business practice and bad first impression for me as a new first time potential customer.

They are very careful concerning Covid19, they greet you outside and wear masks, I appreciate their concern with this awful pandemic. I would highly recommend Barkin Boutique!! Thank you!!

A friend referred me to Barkin Botique and from the moment we walked in everyone was so friendly. They took Chino my dog and let him run around and made he feel comfortable. I️ really like that they let the dogs run around verse putting them in the cage. Chino had a lot of fun and was difficult to get him to leave! Thanks again!!
