I was in the store with my service dog who is extremely well trained. Lady told me because it didn't have a vest on I couldn't have it in there and would not listen. Service animals are not required to wear vests but she was so sure she was right, I left. Im researching where to report this as this is discrimination.To make sure the correct store is identified, it's the Walgreens on Schoembech and Dundee in Wheeling.

If ever there was an unnecessary need for video screens it would be on the clear glass doors of the refrigerated cases. I had a painful ankle that needed ice. I'm limping already. I go to the refrigerated cases and every one (8-10) has a full length video screen. Not even one displayed or listed ice in that case. I limped all the way back up to the cashier and ask if they sell ice. She says yes, in the freezer cases. So, I limped back to the refrigerated cases and opened each one to finally find bags of ice in the seventh one. Ridiculous! Who ever in the world thought this was a good idea???

I scheduled a booster Covid vaccine here and it took an hour of waiting to get it. Not because it was busy but because they are just disorganized and scatter minded. This pharmacy is really poorly managed and staff are underpaid so they don’t care at all. I heard other ppl complain when they were in the drive through window too. Pharmacy tech people are ok but slow. Front cashier is extremely rude. I am going to a different Walgreens next time I have to get a vaccine.

I see 2 other people have had issues with this..I think her name is Alice. She's an Older lady who works behind the register often. She has short brown hair. I come to Walgreens often like every day or other day and I feel in the past she's rolled her eyes at me, had a rude tone, or just looked dissatisfied to see me. She was cool with me about 3 times and every other time she seemed like she had a problem. Some sort of attitude. It's crazy, I'm not sure if it's because I'm black. Seems like other people are having issues and they aren't white. I'll be talking to a manager next time there's a problem.

About to just change pharmacy because they never answer the phone. They keep you on hold for the longest time. And you got a 50/50 chance they’ll answer or hang up. I’ve been trying to get ahold of them for the last two days and no answer. They almost never have my meds ready it takes them about 2-3 days and I can’t play about my steroids because I have a gland deficiency and am 8 months pregnant with a high risk. My doctor wants me to monitor my glucose and I haven’t even been able to get my monitor!!! I’m supposed to get antibiotics too and this pharmacy does not answer. Don’t even bother going in person cause they’re always low staffed, in a bad mood and unhelpful. I understand being frustrated about low staff but that’s not the costumers fault and we still need our medication. Just close this place down at this point.

HORRIBLE. Shocked at how rude and condescending certain pharmacy employees are. I only had to use this pharmacy because the system was down at my regular pharmacy. I don't recommend this pharmacy at all, ever, for anyone. I hope to never go here again.

This is far and away the best experience at a Walgreens pharmacy I’ve ever had. They had a lot of staff. They were all friendly, welcoming, enthusiastic and informative- above and beyond. They seemed like they genuinely cared about their jobs and the customers. Anyone who gives a negative review I really don’t get it- maybe you have the wrong location. They even apologized to people waiting and thanked them. Amazing.

The Pharmacy People are Terrible. I had called to see if I can get a different medication the pharmacist on the phone said I don't know I wasn't in the exam room with you. You have to call your doctor. When I picked up my other medication the Pharmacy cashier was extremely rude. They didn't allow me to put my phone number in the pin pad. I am switching Pharmacy

Has anybody had issues with the old lady cashier thats always there? She is always there Sunday evenings. I like shopping at this Walgreens but she's HORRIBLE. I never write reviews about anyone but she's the worst. I've noticed she's nicer to people that have the same skin color as her. It looks like she hates her job and hates interacting with people. She should be stocking products not on the register!

I came to see if anyone shared the same poor experience as I had and it's relieving yet sad to see that someone had. I could not agree more with a review from 3mo prior where someone wrote "the old lady cashier... she's nicer to people that have the same skin color as her." I stopped by the location to get some pain medicine really quickly and for such a short trip, it's almost impressive how miserable she made it go. I was there 4/29/22 at about 1:30pm and I'm almost certain the other reviewer and I are speaking about the same lady. The lady at the register was incredibly unpleasant (older, pale-skinned, dark medium length hair, bright blush). After having a laughing conversation with the woman before me ("same skin color as her", she saw me (an Asian girl) next, and immediately her face went sour. I entered the store with my mask on because I work in healthcare and I don't want to risk getting others sick, even if I am confident I do not have covid. She kept looking at me as if we were enemies in our past lives or I did something to offend her in the 2 seconds of meeting her. To try to relieve some of the tension I said "hi" but she completely ignored me and kept looking at me. I wanted to get out of there as fast as I could and no staff at any establishment should make a customer feel the way I felt. My insurance card provides a discount for the item I was purchasing so I showed her the barcode on the card and politely asked if she could please scan it for me, to which she groaned and hesitated to move a single muscle in her body to get the scanner in her hand to scan the code. I was already so uncomfortable but I had $15 in Walgreens cash I had to redeem and I did not want to let her result in me spending unnecessary money so I scanned my Walgreens card and she kept asking me to pay. When I tried to explain that I want to redeem my credit, she rudely asked "WHAT?" and asked me to just hurry and pay. I repeated that I had credit to use to which she looked me in the eyes, rolled her eyes up, groaned, then called the manager (Hector?) like she owns the place. The manager was kind and processed the credit, which was a button or two on the screen she could have pressed. He then explained that the credit does not cover the tax so I'd have to pay the tax. That makes sense, sure no problem. I was waiting for the card reader to finish processing before paying via Apple pay. I literally cannot do anything until the reader lets me. But no, the lady at checkout kept rushing and reminding me to pay the tax. I have no intention to skimp out the store from 67 cents, just give a customer 5 seconds for the machine to do its job so I can do mine. For such a short, what could have been simple, transaction, this experience really negatively impacted my day.

The staff is extra polite, extra courteous. Always a smile, always concerned that the customer has a good experience.The staff will answer any question in a polite way. After being in the store on a given day, your day will be enhanced in a good way based on your experience as a customer in this walgreens

Horrible experience twice today. Once they lost wife's photo order, and after she left we got an email that it was ready...then tonight went to buy item that had sign (and a dozen bottles behind it) buy one get one free, zinc, $6.99 a bottle. Rang up wrong, guy at register goes confirms, asks someone for over ride, and she got snippy saying wrong item. I said okay, but you may want to clear the shelf, you guys stocked it and a dozen plus in that shelf. She got snippy saying ten thousand items we make one mistake, get over it as she's walking away.... told me leave. I didn't raise voice, didn't get mad. You don't treat a customer like that in front of several other people... I asked the guy at register her name he said he couldn't give me her name, or tell me if supervisor or manager. Asked for store managers name or when he will be in and told me he doesn't think he can give that info either. I can come in tomorrow and someone of authority will be there but can t give any info... Bogus.

Horrific waits for the pharmacy, waited 20 minutes behind 4 people with no movement, left and transferred the prescription to another Walgreens. This one appears to be grossly understaffed.

Signs all around the drive thru claimed covid testing is done through curbside. I followed all the directions on the sign at the "designated curbside parking spots" only to have a confused person answer the phone and rudely tell me to go through the drive thru today. These signs are misleading and contradictory to the email confirmation about drive thru covid testing.

Drive through or inside, I’ve never made it out in less than 45 min… secondly, I’ve only left with what I came for about ¾ of the time, even after waiting. Not sure if it’s the company, the customers, or the front-line employees. The front-line employees are great though so hard to imagine it’s their fault.

This particular store is, from my experience, totally unaware of something called customer service and experience. I called to transfer my prescription from another store to this one and when I went to inquire about my prescription, was told it was still at the other store and there was no information on any transfer. Furthermore, no effort to try and even offer that they can get the prescription to this store for my convenience!I'm not returning to this one ever.

Modern Walgreen's store on the corner of Dundee and Schoenbeck Roads in Wheeling. This store has everything you need at an above than average price. Came in today to swap out my propane tank and there was no delay getting someone to do the work. Overall this is a great store to visit.

The clerk was extremely rude when the Parents got the booster. We registered everything online, but they still FURIOUSLY asked BOOSTER!? 2ND DOSE!? They also wanted them to fill out the what ever questionnaires that they did online. What a waste of time. No wonder they’re inefficient.

There is a wal-greens in almost every corner. This one is nothing different. As the same with all the other stores, they have everything you want in a quick and convenient location, right on Dundee Road. This one also has a Redbox on the side of the store. I usually rent movies from there, especially when there is specials and promos. However, since its close to a middle school, expect some kids when its during their afterschool hours. In all, good clean store.

Guy there obviously never heard of fraudsters and credit card fraud. If course they dont accept credit card payments over phone. Walmart/Target/CVS, any major pharmacy doesnt. Lol but besides that it's walgreens, no different than the rest.
