We went here because of their reputation and because we wanted some good catfish. The food was good and served hot. French fries were awesome! My only complaint was that a few pieces of catfish weren't as well done as the others. Our waitress was excellent! We didn't have to remind her of anything and she constantly checked to see if we needed anything more. I'd go back again.

Delicious every time! Their fried/boasted chicken tastes thisclose to my mom's. Mashed potatoes are so creamy & they give you a very generous serving. The last time we ate there, we ordered a sugar-free lemon pie. It's out- standing. We want to thank the baker who created such a yummy dessert, something I, as a diabetic, rarely get to enjoy.Dietary restrictions: Sugar-free pies!

It’s not much to look at, but the food is excellent. I got the breakfast special… 1/2 order of Biscuits and Gravy with 2 eggs over easy and sausage patties. Those eggs were cooked perfectly! And the sausage was nicely cooked too. Friendly service so I will be back to try their pie. As a bonus, the foyer has a “Pay it Forward” board where you can buy a meal for someone who needs one. There must have been 20 on it. What great customers they have.

Staff was very friendly, fast, and always checked on us, food was amazing, the pie was delicious and has won awards in the past for their pie and fried chicken. I definitely recommend this place, family friendly, reasonable prices, decent portions, over all awesome.Parking: Plenty of parking, and outdoor tables as well

Took my 10 year old there in between softball games and waited over 45 minutes for a grilled cheese and a cheeseburger. While people that got their after us was getting their food. Horrible service. I ended up telling them to put it in a to go box for us.(Edit) after getting back to the the softball field I opened it up and they sent us with the wrong food. I will never go back there.

Cute little find. Service was great. Place seemed clean. We were lucky and showed up on pie baking day! Yes they make their own pies from scratch. There is a great selection of home style meals. My favorite had been the broasted chicken. They also have liver and gizzards on certain days of the week. There is seating out side. This place seems to be a gathering place so the waitresses understand if you're going to be there a while longer. They don't rush you! They just keep the pies, coffee and sweet tea pouring. It's worth the drive.Parking: There is a lot of parking in front of the Cafe and behind.Kid-friendliness: Kids can make a mess here. The waitresses seem to like spoiling Littles.Wheelchair accessibility: This is not a wheelchair friendly place. The areas are very tight and tables are very close together. There are no steps however.

West Union Cafe catered my mom Celebration of Life dinner. The meal was absolutely perfect and everything mom would of wanted and liked. The chicken tasted just like my mom's which provided some comfort and sparked some beautiful memories of mom making fried chicken. I appreciate the hard work in preparing such a beautiful and delicious meal. God Bless the staff and thank you for providing a real home-cooked meal just the way mom would of made it.

Even though our first visit was on a busy holiday weekend, I still felt welcomed like family. We had time to relax and half mingle with the other patrons. Our meals were the great home cooking quality I expected. The catfish, I have heard, is the thing to get. So I did. It did not disappoint. There was a very hardy portiin of perfectly fried filets. The mashed potatoes and gravy really hit home.

I had their famous fried chicken 🍗 and a piece of their famous homemade pie! I loved both of them! The chicken 🐔 was cooked all the way through and was really tender, juicy, and full of flavor! The coconut cream pie was excellent too! The pie filling was amazing and so was the meringue on top!Vegetarian options: They had salads and vegetables available.Dietary restrictions: I would think with the variety of food that a person with dietary restrictions should be able to find somethingon the menu?Parking: Several spots near the front entrance with more parking behind the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome and they had a kids menu.Wheelchair accessibility: The entry was ground level. No steps!

This little.... and busy Cafe is I a town that barely has a post office , a tiny library, and a neat little thrift/used goods shop. It also has THREE popular restaurants. All 3 sell catfish.West Union Cafe has the best catfish!
