UPDATED March 10,2023 A hidden gem in West Chicago. Carlos & Rick are friendly, serve fresh hot good food! I've had hot dogs with fries here many times and they are a favorite. Today I had the cheeseburger for the 1st time. Excellent and fresh meat, double patties!, fresh condiments and the bun holds up which is a deal maker for me :-) Prices are reasonable. Option #1 feeds 2 people, each getting a hot dog with fries. Just go and try their food. When the weather is warmer, the picnic tables are a nice touch.I pass this place a few times a month and I finally stopped and I am glad I did. Cute from the inside and busy inside with a counter to order and pay then you step outside choose a picnic table or wait near your car they call your name on a loudspeaker and you go in and get your order All in all the wait was about 5 minutes, pretty steady customer flow too. A # 1 consists of two Vienna Chicago beef hot dogs with the works and french fries and one soda. Two of us ordered this and we were pleasantly surprised that the hot dogs were individually wrapped each with fries. So it was very easy to split between my husband and I. He ordered the barqs root beer and it was delicious some places just don't have the fountains right but this place does!! The menu has burgers different wraps salads even gyros. We will definitely be back; a nice easy place to stop in get quick service and good food. I might add their hot dog is not nearly as skinny as some of the bigger chains which has been very disappointing. I love that I found this little place nearby and can't wait to go back. Definitely give it a try :-)Parking: Plenty of parking and easy to park.

I have been going to The Happy House My Entire Life!!! I moved an Hr away I don’t get to Visit as often as I’d like to. I made the Trip with My Family this weekend to carry on a 3rd Generation Tradition!!!There is Not a thing on the Menu that you would not enjoy!!! If your looking for quality Chicago style food, old school Chicago red hots style and classic Chicago vibes this is the perfect spot! The BBQ beef sandwich is by far my favorite the bbq sauce is made in house and I promise you it’s the best sweet tangy sauce you will ever have. The hot dogs are amazing classic Chicago dogs served with fries on top. The fries are great and they don’t skimp you on the fries they hook it up nice and crispy perfectly seasoned. I also recommend the Italian beef egg rolls they’re so good! If you like milkshakes the old fashioned root beer milk shake is phonomenal!! I get them all the time. The 2 guys who run the place Carlos and Rick are the coolest guys classic Chicago guys who always remember you when you come in. Prices are fair too anything on the menu you order will hot and exactly what you hope it will taste like. Go check it out!!

Myself and a business partner ate lunch here today. Food quality and taste was good. We both ordered a combo from the menu with similar prices. My friend got a fairly large bag of fries which made the cost fairly reasonable. When they handed me my bag of food I looked in it and found no fries. When I questioned the guy behind the counter he said my fries were in the bag. After leaving and opening my food bag no bag of fries. When I opened my hot dog I found about a dozen fries dumped on top the dog. I got less than half the amount of food the other order received. If you order here just keep them honest.

Great people and excellent food all the way around. Being a first timer, these guys allowed me to try a sample of entrees I was curious about and even threw in a free order of fries for me to try! Top class customer service and the BEST meal I’ve had of American (Chicago) cuisine thus far. Cheese curds are the best around and the burger is a 10 also! Just wonderful experience overall. Will become a regular moving forward.

Happy Dog is a great place for a hot dog, gyro, pizza pocket or a Polish. The building is really small, so there is no eating inside, but they have many picnic benches for eating outside. Love the sides also, like the cheese curds with marinara and the onion rings. And the Italian Beef egg rolls.

This place is great for fast food. It's really a hidden gem in West Chicago. The service is fast and the food is great. It's s small shop, so you can't really eat inside but when the weather is nice there is outdoor seating. It's s perfect spot for dogs, burgers, shakes and fries. They also have breakfast sandwiches available and lots of good side items.

A "traditional" roadside got dog stand, like many others in the Chicago area. With all the Chicago fast food standards: Vienna Beef dogs & sausages, burgers, gyros or pizza puffs. No indoor seating, just enough space to order food and chat with the proprietors. Picnic tables outside for when it's warmer. I tried the "Gyros Burger" and found it was not just a bun with Gyros meat, but two griddle-smashed hamburger patties with Gyros meat between them. HUGE! My partner got the "Happy Dog," the usual Chicago hot dog with the works, but also wrapped with a side of Fries. We didn't know that when I also ordered a "small" side of Fries, which was still a generous bag of skin-on potatoes, both crunchy and greasy. Good value for a big meal.
