I came to this store this evening because it was on the way back home and I needed to get a few things. First thing I noticed was that this store was much more well-kept and organized than the other one in my area. While I was in there, there was a rude customer that had quite the mouth on her, so much so that my husband actually took my little children to the other end of the store. There were two workers there that I saw, Taylor the cashier and an employee named Jebriea who was on the receiving end of the foul mouthed customer. I wanted to say that I was so impressed by the absolute professionalism of this lady. I would never had been able to handle myself with such control as she did.We were able to find everything we needed, and when we checked out the employee apologized for the customers behavior! They were amazing. We got to the dollar store at least 2 times a week, but because of this experience with this particular store, we will be coming exclusively to this store from now on. (Did I mention how CLEAN it was compared to the other one???)All in all, I recommend this store to anyone who cares to read my review. And a shout out to whoever hired the employees..... You picked some good ones.

Typical Dollar Tree with only one cashier and a whole line of customers. Shelves are mostly stocked. Not the most helpful staff though.

We came here for supplies to celebrate a birthday this weekend but what I didn't enjoy is the low supplies in some section that we needed for our planned event. The location is not well taken care of. There were 2 employees during our visit. One had maybe been a manager getting frustrated over another employee not showing up and she demonstrated so much anger in the surrounded building. It didn't send any good vibes here. There were people understanding for the situation but as I see things we got to stay positive even when there is difficult times. They are not setting good example of what the store is about for consumers here..Freezer has no food 🚫Ceiling is looking like it's going to leak. And there seems to be mold or stains?! 🤢This place needs more care

Went in the other day to pick up some supplies. Not only was the store a mess but the manager was rude, unfriendly and annoyed that I had tried to get her to assist me. You are better off going to any other dollar tree in the area, you'll get better service and better selection. Cheers 🥂

I love the store manager but the other manager in her store was not helpful what so ever, she didn’t want to exchange my items because they were not the same items. I’ve exchanged items before and I’ve never had an issue what so ever. I wasn’t being rude, but I guess she was being lazy and wanted to leave. I went to fountain square and they gladly did my exchange and it took seconds and pushed one button.

$1.25 Very great experience. Shelves stocked neatly. Name brand cereal, candy, and nice dishes. The freezer was down because of recent power outage, bummer. J*%***** was very fast and friendly. Can't wait for the freezers to get restocked. Highly recommend.

Great place except things are now $1.25 + tax. Staff wear masks and are nice sometimes. My children got a lot of candy that are worth it. Peach rings at last 30 of them for just 1.30. In burlington it was 12 for 4.99!😱

severe lack of customer service. The cashier had a horrible attitude, as if she’s not the one that applied for the job… proper bagging training would be helpful as well. Some items don’t belong in a bag together which should be common sense…

Need to fire that staff. My little girl had to go to the restroom really bad and employees wouldnt let her use it. They said it wasnt their problem. I know it was a racial thing cause if i were black i swear they would of treated us differently!!

As with nearly EVERY Brick & Mortar Store, most items are Over a Dollar ($1.25), so as long as the prices don't go up AGAIN, I'll continue to shop there! 🙏👍😀😷

Prices went up a tad but the quality of their stuff went up as well. Very impressed. Love spending my dollas at the dolla tree! Check out their Christmas ornaments!

Great place for getting crafting supplies. Also, Good selection on Easter goodies and yes I'm giving toothbrushes to my grandkids for Easter... they love it every time they get a new toothbrush😁 big score on the Start Trek socks!!!

I love the Dollar Tree! EXCEPT this one! 2 workers, by the register. One is working, the other is standing there gossiping . The register is taking a long time to work, it happens, I actually felt bad for the girl, until the gossiper decides to open another register and says I can help someone here I said Im next , the lady behind me says Im after her, I put my stuff in the basket to move and he ignores us and just takes other people. The girls register finally works and Im next. She doesnt say hi or anything, and literally THROWS my stuff in a bag and hands me the receipt without a word. SO RUDE!!! I go often to your stores, but NEVER to this one again!

Horrible place !! Do not go here the manager is so RUDE nasty attitude I don’t know how she is left in charge. If you can avoid going I suggest going to any other dollar tree in the area.

Just came to this store and I had the worst experience. This used to be one of my favorite stores until today. There’s a African American lady with braids who may be the “manager” but she was super rude and unprofessional. She saw some kids and yelled at them asking if their parents were in the store with them even though they were well behaved. You walk into this store and get bad energy from the employees right away. Do better!

I only like coming here if I need something quick for the house , the customers that come here are always rude and ignorant the Manager looks very rude and ignorant as well every time I come here . Over all the store don’t look like she takes care of it . I go to other Dollar Tree I don’t waist my money on at this place. Do Better

04/24/23 the store manager Connie profiled me within seconds of walking into the store. Instead of greeting me at the door proceeds follow me around the store watching til finally not even a minute later Connie confronts me in front of other paying customers telling me to leave the store accusing me of stealing & she’s calling 12. Embarrassed in front of the whole store I even emptied out the contents I had on me to prove my innocence, still no apology & she still called the cops. Connie seems to think everyone in Waukegan that looks a certain way steals I hope Dollar Tree doesn’t share the same views about the people that spend their money in this community & if they do I’ll find another store to spend my money at.

I've never felt so uncomfortable in a store. There's people always taking badly about other races. They are loud and rude. I passed by the manager and said excuse me she grunts. I said, "Excuse me" to pass but I guess it still bothered the manager.

This particular dollar tree is huge and they had almost everything in stock it seemed. Maybe Wednesday is the day to go because all craft goodies were in stock which is super rare. Store was clean, bright, cashier was friendly. This isn't the closest store to my house but it's worth the extra few minutes drive because it has so many more items.

I went this dollar tree that has a sign on the door anyone entering the store must have a mask on however the checker Zion had a mask below his chin and the customer in front of me had no mask so much for rules to enter the store believe me I don’t want to ware one more then the next. But if it helps protect the next person we need to do what we got to do Leo. Went today and there was a sign saying they closed at noon on 8/26:2031

I found the Halloween section shelves almost empty. I had gone to Dollar Tree especially for the Halloween stuff . On a positive note, i brought home some Christmas decorations 🎄. For the Halloween decor, I'll check some other location. Maybe they still have some left 🤔

Long waits in line- people with numerous items hold up the line. People with small orders have to wait for extended periods of time when only 1 person works checkout. YOU NEED AN EXPRESS LANELike every other retailer has.Also, the DOLLAR TREE at Lewis Ave and Yorkhouse Road, Waukegan IL. is the filthiest store that I have ever been in.If your associates aren't going to clean the store, and don't care, then you need to hire a cleaning service.

Please paint, clean restrooms. I remember when this location opened and how New, Clean and Organized it use to be. I spoke with the then manager and she said she planned to keep it that way. Alas! how things have changed. The outside of the store is equally important as the inside.

The staff here are mean. Got yelled at by the staff because kids were "disorganizing" stuff. Besides the fact that nothing here is organized and the place is unclean.

Cashier with braids is always cursing and having conversations out loud where the whole store can hear, she’s always cursing and yelling for no reason at everything, she’s making dollar tree look bad. 0/10

Went to look at wine glasses since Dollar General only had plastic ones. Really happy with the selection. Ended up with smoke colored glasses. Very classy looking.
