I went into the store to shop and was told I couldn’t purchase anything because they didn’t have change for a $100 bill. What type of company is this if you can not meet the costumers needs. So now I’m stuck with the items I need to wash down the street from them. I called the general manager Earl and he did not answer his phone. Dollar General do better

I've always known the Hispanic race to be hard working and family orientated, but since being out here in Waukegan il, they are gangstalking and acting weird as if no one can see what they are up too,Im sorry but you guys have become the new nigras.

I love that they consistently have certain items I go for & at really good prices. I also love the random stuff I find, like holiday decor. Really cute Easter items are out now and I keep checking back for new finds. Customer service has been excellent every time! 🙂

Manager is very rude! I was going to redeem a coupon I had in my DG app (11/28/2020). The cashier was very helpful and nice, when he couldn’t get the coupon to go through he re-tried to get it go through but needed the manager to assist with cancelling the purchase. When the manager got there she started talking under her breathe, and kept making rude jokes about “buying things full price” because of people like me “holding up the line” and “taking too much time.”

I used to love this store but when this manager lady started I don’t go there no more! She’s rude and closes the store two hours early! She makes customers leave there book bags behind the counter! Walks around the store and leaves one employee at the cashier with a huge line doesn’t help at all. I bought a Christmas item that was on discount and she said are you ready for the moths because this is gonna give you moths! That’s none of her business! I hope she gets fired I’m gonna file a complaint at the corporate center! So rude and unprofessional!

The staff, cashier and supervisor are rude and not helpful. This was the first time I went there and first time I got the App. I wanted to use the $5 off and both employees were asking me for the barcode to scan. I payed full price without using the coupon because I couldn’t find the “barcode” and they themselves did not know where to find it in the app. Later I found out by reading through the app that you need to provide your phone number to in order to receive the discount. They are employees of this store so would think they would know all this but not. They need to better train their staff!

Messy and disorganized. Items were in multiple and repeated aisles. They had boxes in aisles in the way. One worker. Looked for curtains and they had none. Took my friend half an hour to find dish rags. Some racks completely empty as if the store was closing.

Very surprised of the check out clerk treated me He was a younger man . Was talking to himself and my things were not ringing ip kept telling me put mu card in and it was in for 5 mins already . Then he was mumbling I asked should i redue card he wouldn't answer asked couple times then I asked would you like me to use cash instead he said very angry. Hey hold on I am ringing it ip now he said very rude things as checking me out I finally told him Excuse me You need to tell me what I need to do he said just shut up . Felt like dropping g my stuff and leaving . Use to be nice people working there but not now . I am not going back ..

a lot of other shelves are very empty. I don't go there every day but if you were there last week and you come the following week and still see products not restocked. And lot of the places are the same price as the Jewel and Osco just right down the road but their shelves are not empty . So I will go the extra to my and just go to Walmart

It was very easy for me to look up the store hours and the phone number online. I have always had a good experience at this dollar general location. The staff is very kind and is always willing to answer my questions over the telephone promptly. I will be returning definitely.

It says that they are open UNTIL 10pm. I was just there 7-02-19 at 8:10pm waiting outside the door for An employee to tell me that they are closed ???? But it says open until 10pm ? I’m confused. Employees didn’t want to tell me why they were closed. This location is not accurate with their schedule. This happened to me like 3 times already. What is going on with ur employees? Are they lazy to stay open until the time that you guys say your open until or what ?

This Dollar General in all the ones in Waukegan discriminate on the basis of sex I carry a man bag around that looks like a book bag what was bought out of the woman's Department store and they make me take it off and leave it behind the counter simply because I am a black man I asked one of the workers here at this location if she would make a woman leave her back behind the counter and sees that that's a different just like the movie they discriminate on the basis of sex

Unfortunately the store looked like a bomb went off. I only saw 1 clerk, Dollar General stores are known to work their employees by themselves. The store and customer service suffers greatly. I had heard that their weekly allotment for payroll is 126 hours a week. This is ridiculous for a store that runs 7 days a week, 10 to 12 hours a day, and expects the store to be stocked and clean. Usually, only one employee in the store to stock and run cash register. This would be a safety and security issue for me. As a retired small store owner, 126 is no where near enough to run the store sufficiently.

Some lady gave my dad a 2 min time limit to shop as if he was being discrimated when he was there to PURCHASE items. It's unacceptable these employees get to treat the customers on how they are dress but most importantly who gives a customer 2 mins to shop with no reason to it , such bs.

Shelves are ALWAYS empty, lines are ALWAYS long, they NEVER follow their open and closing times, and it’s trash now. You’ll be wasting your time & gas money coming here to be honest.

There are good deals here. The convience is great! But don't try to return something. The store I went to asked why i didn't make my return at the DG where I bought the item. I thought the question was unnecessary especially when the employee was bothered by making the return...
