Went in this past Friday at 5pm to buy some ground beef. Was told that the grinder was down and that I need to come back the next day. Schneider's is on my way home from work, so I did not make a special trip on Saturday. Time before last, I was told that the grinder was broken and that it would be fixed the next day. Again, not making a special trip as Schneider's is on my way home from work. Is the grinder down or is it broken at certain times of the day? Is there a cutoff time for buying your ground beef? Sounds like the grinder was already cleaned and nobody wanted to use it until the next business day. Don't think I will be back again as it is hit and miss trying to buy ground beef. Have a good one!

Lets start by saying we Love Schneider's Quality Meats. But needed some beef tallow. Just a1/4 lb (4 ounces ) or less for my cat. My cat has a skin allergy and will scratch herself to scabs. A little snibble of fat once in every other feeding or so really clears up her skin and makes her coat look great.But it is the start of deer season and NO Beef Fat available until after deer season. But how long will that be when you make summer sausage, smokie sticks and hamburger til December. Our fault for running out I guess. I guess we will have to buy a steak with a big fat ring around it, to get her some. Bought some brats and headed home.

Decent enough local butcher. However, twice there have been times they have let me down. I've called in two special order for special occasions well in advance of the date, and there have been issues with completing the orders. I'm unsure why when I'm spending in excess of $250 for one order, they have made mistakes. Both times I've placed the order, called back to confirm and was given a date to pick up the order, and the day of, no one knows anything about it and has to work to sort it out. This last order, they were not able to get a specific item I asked for and I didnt know this was going to be an issue until I picked it up. Twice in a row this has happened. It's a good store, clean, great selection, but I'm not please with the service and I hope it's just just bad luck on my part.

This place is a wonderful German butcher shoppe. They have a wide selection of meats and seem to specialize in house summer sausage, brats and quick stop grocery, deli and produce.

Tons of variety but way over priced. Would like to see the prices go down. No reason that ribeyes need to be $20 a pound and they are mediocre at best. I used to spend tons of money monthly here not anymore. I'll rather travel to B&D Meats or Wennemans they have honest, fair prices and a BETTER product.

this is a wonderful place to purchase meats of all kinds for anything from a normal family dinner to a huge bbq. I've been shopping here for meats ( and dog bones) for many years whenever I'm in Waterloo and have always been very impressed with all of it from the variety of choices to the excellent taste.The employees are friendly helpful and knowledgeable, there aren't words to say how great this place is. If you have a chance to stop here you wont be disappointed!!

This is the best place to buy meat and BBQ sauce. They make their own. Our favorite is the origional but they're all good. They're locally owned and sourced. Everyone there is always helpful and attentive. The meat is fresh and doesn't seem to have fillers/dyes/preservatives like most other places. Because of that though we use or freeze ours after 2 or 3 days. Also, it is super clean. All the workers always wear gloves and every time I'm in there at least one of them is cleaning something. My only complaint is that they run out of rotisserie chicken a lot. Probably because it's freaking delicious and word has gotten out. When people's only complaint is that they want you to take more of their money, I'd say you're doing pretty well. :)

We hired Schneider's Catering for our wedding and they did a great job. All of our guests were telling us how great the food was! They were professional, on time, and incredibly helpful. They packed up the food for us to pick up in the store at our convenience. Everything was just wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone!

My family just moved to Waterloo and we love the small town atmosphere. Having a place with such an excellent meat and deli selection has made our appreciation that much greater. Sure, we could always make the shorter drive from where we live to one of the chain stores, but it's worth it to us to see the friendly faces and personable people at Schneiders.About a week ago I asked a manager about the possibility of stocking my favorite beer and this Sunday I walked in and there it was waiting for me! We are happy customers for life!

I always try to stop at Scheider's when in Waterloo. I grew up in Monroe county, and now live in Madison county. Love the pork sausage. Reminds me of the old fashion sausage of my childhood. Friendly staff, quality meats, and worth the trip for Monroe County pork. Beef too!

We go here every month to get our meat because we know that we that we are getting the best meat in town. The people who work there are so polite and Happy to wait on you. My mom and dad has been going there for a lot of years and when my mom passed away now we go there with my dad. You can't go wrong with this place. Once you try it you will go back.

Best. Brats. Ever. I avoid brats at gatherings because I never like them. Sometimes it's the flavor, sometimes they're gritty, but there's always something that makes me regret my choice. But Schneider brats are incredible! Great product combined with small-town friendly people...what's not to love? Keep up the great work! P. S. They sell meat boxes and Steak of the Month Club/Brat of the Month Club. I got my husband the Brat of the Month Club gift certificates for Christmas this past year and he loved them!

Best place on Illinois Route 3 for high quality meat and poultry at great prices. The variety of bratwurst is only surpassed by the excellent taste of the product. They will custom cut a steak or roast to your specifications.

A friendly family owned and run butcher...Good quality meats and products available here.. not your bulk chainstore prices.. but you are buying quality... the variety of brats and cuts are enormous. . I lost track over thirty... I have sampled most... and have yet to come across one I did not like..They are very much focused on pork.. Which is my favourite meat to work with.. Ask any Eastern European ... pork rules....I drive from the Missouri side at least once a month to stock up on my Pork supplies.. and I try a few of the spices and marinades on offer.. .. if you don't make your own "secret sauce" then these marinades will make a good replacement. .My issue is with this place is... no matter how hard I try to stick to budget. I always walk away with more than planned and budgeted for... but it is worth it... lol...

I live about 95 miles or so in central Illinois and happened to stop in this shop to check it out and was really surprised because they had seafood and fish also. What a gerat ppace this is. Wonderful atmosphere. Couldnt leave without getting about $50 in various meats and sausages. Wish Snyders was in Central Ill.

The only place we buy meat. I call and place an order about every 6 months. They package it to order and freeze it for me. When I pick it up I am never disappointed. They debone and season my pork roast and ground round is very lean. Always friendly and helpfulWill only shop for meat there.
