The Washington Dollar General has amazing STAFF! Everyone that works there, that i have interacted with is always great. I feel like they have a genuine interest in what is going on with the customers. That being said...I think that Dollar General as a corporation does not care NEARLY as much. Not even a small tiny bit. They have 2 registers and for the last month one is down with no fix in sight. For nearly 3 weeks you would have to BUNDLE up to go in and shop because of the off-site temperature control. This is not an exaggeration either on the temp in the store. There was a day that I was in line and literally saw my breath. The entire time though the staff had smiles and were helpful and courteous to myself and the others in the store. It is just a shame that the very base of this company the customers and the front line employees that are representing the Dollar General name are doing an outstanding job and for what? A big corp sitting comfortably somewhere counting the money? I hope that Dollar General upper management can see how valuable the staff and the customers are and reciprocating the loyalty and courtesy should become a top priority.

This store is a dump even with the remodel. There is always stocking carts in isle, the floors are dirty as they were supposed to be replaced and never were. Maybe you could move our store to the empty Family Video in Sunnyland.... Need more room and a more pleasant place to shop. The staff are very kind and helpful though.

I had a really uncomfortable weird experience at this Dollar General as I was checking out the manager was talking with one of her associates about blowing up the building. And then when she was ringing at my items she looked at her associate and said I’m not putting that in a bag to one of my items which was just as planted seed starter kit?? Definitely not expecting a lot but decent human courtesy would’ve been cool.

Worst store I’ve ever been to. Piles of merchandise stacked up permanently in isles, and the store is out of almost everything. Shelves are empty and an absolute mess. Go to the east Peoria location down the hill. Much better in every way. Close thir Washington location down already, it’s been spiraling down for years.

I know that it was recently 'renovated' but they still do not seem to have pride in the appearance. It has been over 60 days and it still just seems like product is strewn all over the place. It makes shopping in this location less than smooth. Bad enough having to adjust to new layout but then when you have things just stuffed in random places and carts full of random product...you don't even recognize the store was renovated.

Convenient but dont always have the best store appearance and shelves empty. With newer locations going up everywhere this one needs to be organized better and clear up aisles. Very compacted and cluttered

I ask if they have Western Union. They lady throws up her hands as if I'm trying to rob her and says "We don't have enough money." Before I even tell her whether or I'm receiving or sending. I am throughly disgusted. Maybe my skin was too dark for her.

Discounted items are constantly mixed up with full price items. This store is always a mess and it is hard to walk through the aisles. As well, the old lady who works there spends so much time talking that the wait time in line is LONGER than it takes to find what you are looking for. I will stick with the Dollar General store located in washington or will shop peoria stores before I use the east peoria store again..

Store always feels tight and cramped, partially because the center isle is frequented by extra items or stock carts or something. Not the most organized of DGs, but it's local and is clean with friendly staff.

They didn't have vinegar which was inconvenient, other than that it was fine and had most stuff any dollar store would have. They also had a bunch of stuff over a dollar that would come in handy.

This store is and has been for years a complete mess. The staff of usually one or two is needed to check out customers but when do they have time to stock and clean?

Handy little store for picking up the basic necessities when there is no time to go to a grocery store or a department store. It is an asset to our community.

It’s nice to have a store nearby that has some of the essentials without having to drive all the way to East Peoria or Washington but the store is always a mess and understaffed.

I'm always here for a lot of different things a little higher then what Walmart would charge you but it's worth it not having to walk through walmart

They always have everything thing I need at reasonable prices
