Several years ago the Viola location was in complete shambles. It has gradually gotten better and better since Angel became the Manager. She is a hard worker and the staff there currently is much better; some are more helpful than others but overall better. Still a bit understaffed at times but much more organized now. To the store owner: please don’t overwork your staff and make them work understaffed. Workers and customers are happier when store is well staffed with helpful , efficient workers and a tidy store.

Staff is incredibly unhelpful and usually nowhere to be found. Terrible customer service. They should just remove the self-checkout since it hardly ever works. All it does is give the associates an excuse to hide in the back and not help the customers. Will not be shopping here anymore.

Fine place... I have to say this is the best manager yet since 2019, place isn't as packed as it used to be, but I like the self check out but hate it because you can't use coupons there and deals so you have to go through the other and everyone uses the person

The store is hard to navigate because of clutter and disorganization, things always on the floor in aisles making trip hazards. I was able to find some good deals though. I will continue to shop here, but wish it was more neat and organized.

The store is disgusting, shelves are never stocked and you can hardly get up and down any isles. There is always trash on the floors, and you can expect to wait on a cashier at the checkout for at least ten minutes. Every time I go to this store the manager is always smoking right outside the door when there is clearly work to be done inside. There's no point shopping here because the manager is lazy and they never stock anything you want anyways.

Unfortunately this store has really gone downhill. It's always dirty and has crowded aisles with stock waiting to be put on shelves. It wasn't like this when it first opened. It's been declining in the last few years. It's sad because I really used to enjoy shopping there.

The Viola Illinois Dollar General is over stocked and understaffed. Generally cluttered, shelves are either empty or overstocked, alot of stock in carts that are not on shelves , isles not swept, trash cans full, seems in total disdisarray. Store could use some help or organized staff. The store is only a few years old and needs some direction. It is a handy store but really hard to find things. Not enough staff seems the biggest issue.

Glad we have the store but the aisles are so full of inventory you can never find what you want. The floor full of spilled items that are never picked up. Shame it has to be so cluttered and you have to find the attendant to check out. Not a stop I’ll make very often.

Who doesn't love Dollar General they have decent prices some of their stuff I've heard like medicines and stuff not to buy from them because they're like diluted or they're fake I'm not sure if that's true but you never know other than that I've always loved Dollar General and I'll always continue to shop there

A complete mess right inside the door! Almost every isle had carts and boxes on the floor - items that needed to be put on shelves but no one doing it. Things on the floor that needed picked up. Some isles I couldn't even get my cart through! I'll go to a cleaner Dollar General.

Very rude! If it's on the floor according to the policy it is to be sold not ripped out of the customers hand! And then when I go to pay the cashier was very rude! They need cashiers with manners!

Felt sorry for new cashier today. Left alone and had to make a correction over the phone! One person in the store to work the whole place. No wonder they cannot keep help.
