I've been going to Sharp's grocery store since I was a little girl. It's in a good location and super handy for forgetting something. Just pop in, grab and go. There are always a couple of shoppers but you don't have to wait in line very long. Best ground beef around.

I lived in Bluford just outside of Mt. Vernon IL when I was young. I remember the amazing flavor of the steaks my parents would grill on occasion. I recently went back after 30 years to visit an old friend and decided to stop into sharps (we used to go to a different location that is now closed). I picked up a porterhouse drove it almost 500 miles home in the cooler and grilled it up. All I can say is that I am going to be stocking up on my next trip. The meat was tender and the flavor the best I've had in years. It truly was the quality that I remembered. kudos to sharps

Sharps is the best! Super friendly staff, locally owned and operated, the meat there is better than any place that I have found. They have a lot of fresh food prepared. If you don't know what to do for super or just don't feel like cooking, go to Sharps and get their awesome roasted chicken and there are already prepared sides to choice from. I go to Sharps a lot and I would highly recommend them!

Best place in town to buy meat. Cut and wrapped in house. Fresh rotisserie chicken is amazing. This place has been around a long time. The people that run it are so very nice and helpful.

This is a great place to make meat purchase the quality of cuts is above the factory processed pre wrapped you find in discount stores. They cut and wrap in house and will fill special orders if the case doesn't have what you want. Prices seem fair on stock items

Sharps is only about 1/4 mile from my house. It is by far the best place in miles to get great meat. It is very convenient and I wish all their stores would open back up

Love Sharps!!! Two blocks away, best steaks in town, been there dependable for over 40 years. Wonderroast Chicken is wonderful - and you don't have to cook! And, coming East from 42nd Street the ONLY Grocery Store between there and like McCleansboro! Seldom closed, most every week all year 7 days - 7 to 7.

The store is super out dated. Run down, strange smell, broken coolers with mop heads in the floor in front of them to soak up the leaking water. The prices were no lower than anywhere else in town and the line was backed up all the way across the store.

This grocery store is truly a Mt. Vernon staple. I always stop by when in town to get their homemade Chicken salad (they also have Ham, Turkey etc.) and the hard to find Blue Bell sandwich brand of lunchmeats. Their wonderoast chicken is also a great find. Some of the prepackaged food items in the store may be higher than other places, but their fresh meat and homemade items selection can't be beat!
