I will never go back in there when i was checking out i had 5 gallion of wayer in my cart an lady wS asking me my phone an email an i pick up the thing off of front to scan my wayer an she gran that thing out of my hand so hard i let her know she better never grab anything from my hand again she told me i had no business picking it up well i ring my stuff in my cart in walmart, krogers an any other store , i am mad over tnis an she sill be luck if i dont het law suit on her

Always love Rural King!!! Only thing that bothers me, I went to look at the chickens and there were several dead ones in the tubs and I told the guy that was working back there and he just shook his head as to acknowledge what I told him and walked off. The chickens had to of been in there awhile because the others were picking at the dead one.

Most helpful staff,, I am disabled but the staff directed to exactly what I needed. In addition,,they had fully charged charged electric carts for the disabled,,,unlike multi billion companies like WALMART who never have a charged cart. My hat is off to Rural King

I was in need of two chicks as I have a smaller coop and don’t have room for a larger flock. I called in advanced to verify there was chicks in stock, I also asked if there was a minimum number of birds required to make a purchase. I was told there was NO minimum number required. I then drove 45 minutes, only to be told that I needed a minimum of six birds to complete a purchase. I understand you might not know everything in the employee rule book off the top of your head. However if you don’t know the answer to a question ask your supervisor. I usually don’t complain but this situation was not handled well at all.

Very large store with a large assortment of merchandise primarily a farm store. This store like all others have some excellent values but you have to be smart to weed out the impulsive item situated throughout the store.

I honestly would like to have given 5 stars, when I'm there in person. The website for shopping is awful!! I've been on it numerous times, frustrated numerous times, they probably need more input from employees about key words to define searches. As a example I wanted slotted angle iron. It pulled up the furthest things from it, like tractor implements. It's the worst product search ever!! I don't like to call the Mt.Vernon IL store! The people there are busy giving the customers there, the best customer service.

Nice and clean with friendly employees. Had to buy an air conditioner and they were on sale and placed right at the front of the store. Didn't have to go searching for them.

The assistant manager, Susan, was extremely rude and unhelpful. She was unnecessarily snarky from the moment I came in the store. I was there for an exchange, and she told me she "suggested I buy a better brand" when the brand I had originally bought was Rural King brand. The whole exchange was a completely unwarranted.

Great place to find lawn, garden and farm items. The company does not have a veteran's discount. If the items I need are available at Home Depo or Lowes I shop at those places because of the veteran's discount.

Had employee ask me if I needed help. She was super. Wish I had gotten her name. Then another employee came to help us. He was great too. I have always enjoyed shopping at Rural King. So glad there is one now in Mt. Vernon, IL!

This new Rural King is amazing, everything is so neat with room in the isles to maneuver a cart, a rare scene in most rural kings. I hope this store will be able to maintain this very orderly place to shop. A big congratulations to Mt Vernon rural king and its employees, keep up the good work.

They have a good selection of items, the staff is super friendly! Tiffany was particularly helpful!!! My only complaint is the prices seem to be raising shortly after moving in.

Do not miss this place even if you have to go out of your way by many miles it's worth it. They have anything that is DIY related including $10 jeans no they're not Levi's but they're very serviceable it is worth to stop.
