We don't have a Kroger next to us so we travel about an hour to come here probably once a month. Usually my wife comes alone but this time I was here so I was able to look around. It is nice seeing that they have a actual Starbucks location within so you might as well pick up a frappuccino while you're here

Came into the Starbucks there today and Ryker was super helpful suggesting a drink and I absolutely loved it! Most definitely will be asking for his suggestions again!

Hope somebody takes the time to read this. The cart kid was working his backside off. Bravo to him for caring. One person is not enough—shame on whoever does the hiring and scheduling here. Give the kid a raise, especially if you’re going to make him do 2-3 people’s jobs with no machine to help push the carts. Kroger has enough money to redo what probably amounted to a $100k parking lot fix, but can’t hire or pay people enough to get some extra helpers and extra grocery baggers I guess??? If I wanted to bag my own groceries I would use self checkout or go to Aldi. Btw you missed the Broadway exit by the fuel station—waiting for a sinkhole to open up over there or what???The people are tired and aggravated but kudos to them for still trying to be helpful and kind—hire them some help for goodness sakes. Another kid comes up to me and tells me I can’t take a cardboard box to carry my groceries, and then gets borderline hostile when I ask for a cart—I don’t even blame the kid—get them some help. People are your number one resource—take care of them and recognize them. People want to do a good job, so give them the resources they need to do so before these people quit. Take care of your people, they will take care of your customers, and then you will have sales and profits. Get that out of order and you lose the whole system. Notice I gave you 5-stars—trying to help and not degrade—I genuinely hope you guys get your priorities straight because I enjoy shopping here most days.

I am so sick of Mt.V 62864 Kroger. Sick of having to mess with all the Kroger card then digital savings. See something in the ad go in the store and it's out. All the time. And the meat, I get it home several times it's spoiled. Produce looks good cut it open rotten in the middle. Then some of the sale items in ad. hey great price. Fine print have to buy 5 or 10 to save .50 cent. I've had enough. Good bye Kroger.

I recently went down for a funeral. I had to travel far so thought I could buy flowers in Mt. Vernon. Turns out most places close by noon Sat and are closed all day Sunday. I decided to try out Kroger. My grandmother was a gardener and loved flowers of all types. I talked to Rachel at Kroger hoping to get at least a few of grandma's favorites. I had no idea what amazing pieces she would build for me! Rachel incorporated most of the flowers I remember tending to as a child. Thank you Rachel and may you create many more beautiful arrangements!

I love going grocery shopping here! Everything is always well stocked and clean. Their produce selection is quite good and generally fresh and well-priced. They have great weekly sales of items we typically buy, a great bakery. I really appreciate this Kroger. Cashiers are always polite and they greet you nicely all the time during checkout. I also like the fast checkout service in this store. They are all happy to be there and willing to help. I'm not sure how their training differs from other locations, but they are setting a high standard. I will shop here again with that type of customer service.

I'm disabled and carts were fully charged. 3 young men at check out were so mannerly and helpful. Food prices were good and fresh. This will be my go to shopping place from now on!!

They have the largest amount of organic produce and other healthier items in town which keeps us going back, but you really need to watch their signage and not be surprised if they are out of what you're after. Their baggers are poorly trained overall and constantly need to be told detergent doesn't go in with frozen fish, etc.

The store is in Mt Vernon carries a variety of organic products. Its a large store if you live in the area check out. It has wide isles so you can take your time reading the labels. Self check out.

Nothing like walking in the door at 6pm on a Sunday to see a line at the self-checkout 10+ people deep because there are zero cash registers open in the whole place, and only 3 total employees. The customer service desk had a line and no employees, and there were 2 guys trying their best to help at self checkout, but they weren't trained to run a register. The only other person I saw appeared to be on break. Honestly Kroger just needs to pay people better and they wouldn't have so many call ins or quitters, because I assume that's what had to have happened.

Friendly sevice with a smile. Their new click list option is very nice. I like being able to pull up and they already have my shopping done for me. I also like their drive through pharmacy window. Between the two I can do all my shopping, get my Rx. And never leave my car.

Very disappointed in pharmacy lately…closed all day now on Sunday’s-and this week on Monday for 4th. Went to pick up BP meds for husband and told not ready, would be awhile, but could get Sat. But closing at 3 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️With gas at $5+ a gallon 😡 another trip. I live 30 minutes. So I hope he doesn’t have a stroke before Tues or Wednesday when I get back in town. What happened to service !!!

Wonderful selection of products. Clean store. Prices are reasonable regularly but sale and clearance items are WONDERFUL. Staff is helpful and kind. The Starbucks kiosk inside is usually busy. The sushi is great and the sushi chefs surprised me by remembering my family's likes and dislikes even though we only go a couple times a month. Remember to use your Kroger card and to take advantage of the digital coupons. I love Friday Freebies!

I love the seafood counter! I have purchased lobster, Chilean sea bass and snow crab and found the quality was wonderful! The sushi counter is amazing! We always look forward to stopping here and getting sushi to take home or even eat in the car. The store is always clean.

I love this place! Since they remodeled, they have an awesome cheese counter, sushi counter, and a Starbucks kiosk! I love their selection of products and the employees are super friendly and helpful. The Kroger app has some amazing coupons too. They get added right to your Kroger card (not a credit card) and the coupons are automatically applied to your purchase!

A great store with great emoyees who work as a team. Management is some of the best I've seen at Kroger, they go above and beyond to make customers happy everyday and work long hard hours to help the store wherever is needed. Best store manager works here as well and personally has been a mentor for me and led me to success in life. These are great people who know how to develop a great team.

I purchased some Bob Evans mashed potatoes that were already fixed in the refrigerator section & they were nasty like rotten potatoes, the smell was so disgusting, sour & a tan color. it's making me sick just thinking about it.🤮 I do not live in Mount Vernon IllinoisI live 33 miles away so hopefully I get reimbursed for the potatoes & My gas.🤬. Everyone please check your purchases before you leave Kroger!!!.

Kroger is a good alternative to grocery shopping at Walmart. They carry many different products and product lines, while offering a good variety of brand names. Their pricing is much higher than their competitors, even when combining Kroger sale prices with your loyalty card. Their Bakery and Deli both offer high-quality fresh Products. Their produce section is very large, with an excellent selection of fresh fruit and vegetables to choose from. Unfortunately, their Butcher Counter and Meat Cooler stocks Beef that is tough and flavorless. The quality of their Pork and Chicken products is much higher. I tried the pharmacy and found the pharmacist to be quite rude, and less than helpful. Kroger has a great Floral Department which is always well stocked with many options to choose from. I do wonder why I can buy a dozen roses for $9.99 any day except for Valentine's Day and Mother's Day when the price climbs to $24.99. They are the same roses from the same grower in the same packaging! There is also a Starbucks inside if want over-priced and disgusting Coffee while shopping. For a quick stop to grab a few items, or for items not typically found and other stores, Kroger is a great choice.

Deli food was good. Frozen food section had pumpkin pies $1.99. Great price! Cute aisle w/ small Christmas gifts. Nice store.

Kroger is my number one favorite grocery store. I don't always get to shop here because I don't live here, but when I come to Mt. Vernon I always come here it's worth the drive. They maintain a well organized and clean store. They have a wide variety of different foods that I can't find at Walmart or other places. The Kroger Brand products are just as good as name brands. Their sodas are something I brag about, the Big K Citrus Drop is my favorite it tastes as good as Mountain Dew. But their Prices are fair, I get several things here I can't find anywhere else. I recommend to anybody to shop here, it's a real great place to buy groceries.
