It's been a while since I visited my local Dunham's Sports. Went in today. Found a couple of UA tops and bought some dumbells for upcoming workouts. Nice store to shop. Lots of inventory and selection.

Mask not required it seems. Some people have them on and some doesn't, even employees. They have a ton of baseball items for t ball and regular. Only one register. Was a little busy on a Saturday afternoon. The golf section looked bare and not many guns in stock. Hopefully not closing up, since it seems everything in the mall is closing.

Though short-staffed and receiving their weekly truck order, the employees of the Mt. Vernon Dunham's were exemplary! They were friendly, courteous, and helpful. I got the exact item I was looking for. Great shopping experience!

Nice store, friendly employees. Did seem like maybe they were slightly short-staffed but they were not busy.. The product we were looking for had limited selection. But this is likely because the sporting season had just started and several had likely purchased similar product causing low stock within the store

My first time visiting, and I went in for bicycle gear, and the selection wasn't all that large, but they did have some things that I haven't seen before. I've also picked up a brand that I haven't ever heard of. The bike selection was very small, no adult bikes my size. But that's taking into consideration the whole shipping issues worldwide.

I've changed my review from 5 stars two years ago to 2 stars today. Store looks like a big lots. Shelves half empty. Boxes laying all over the place. Bathroom is disgusting. Workers could care less if your there or not. I drive an hour for this? No more.

My husband went into Dunham's in Mt. Vernon to purchase a shotgun. He was in the store 15-20 minutes and never found one sales associate to help with the purchase. He waited at the gun counter, walked the store to locate an employee and then went back to the gun counter hoping an associate would come by. He never saw an employee in the store, not even at the cash register! This seems to be a reoccurring problem as I have never been to this store when I didn't have to walk the aisles to find someone to help me with a sale, especially in the hunting section.This leads me to another topic, management. A week ago my husband and I went into the store to look at the gun we were going to purchase today. Once again I had to go find someone to help us. It apparently was the manager and she was not pleasant to be around. She seemed highly annoyed that she had to help us let alone stand there and unlock the gun cabinet and wait while we looked at the gun. She was rude and not helpful. So after today's issue I called the store and asked for the manager. I could tell by her voice it was the same lady. I explained what happened and she rudely and very defensively interrupted me to explain that I was wrong that she was in the store all day. I didn't disagree with her that she was in the store but she or any other employee were not visible and accessible to help customers otherwise my husband would have asked her for help. The conversation ended quickly without any remorse or apology on her end and definitely left me with zero desire to ever shop in their store again. They not only lost a $500 gun sale today but any future sales we would have made there.

Went to buy a light jacket for my wife. Four employees at the registers, engaged in a lively conversation. I waited for an opening, then asked for assistance. The manager on duty, upon this request, was rude, unhelpful, and seemed much more interested in gossiping with her co-workers and loudly drinking her soda, than in providing even minimal customer service. I wonder how she would react to similar service, were she a customer? Better know where to find what you need here, as the staff will not help you. I did find the jacket, and the price was fair - this is the only reason they get two stars from me, instead one one.

I love the shoe selection. Even though there is never anyone interested in help so a person can actually get the right size of any that are hung on the wall shelving. You could walk around the store and wait for the employee social to be over and ask for help. But I don't bother with that anymore. If I can find what I am wanting and looking for I buy it, if not I go else where.

Frustrating when we got there. Long wait for service. Decided to use restroom while waiting and it was locked. Said see an associate which would be awesome if we could find someone. Back to the register to checkout and get key. Another long wait for our layaway. Then our experience changed. The two associates helping us went above and beyond what is expected. They saved our shopping experience from being horrible. We will be back again.

Firearms are marked up by $100-$200. Unfortunately, no one was around for us to look or buy ammo. I suggest going to Rural King for firearms.

One star is pushing it. This place is a mess. Last christmas I bought a double airsoft gun set. One small and one large and my boy opened it on xmas and the little one was missing. They would believe me. Then yesterday I they overcharged me $10 and I went back in nd they were rude didnt apologize at alleven the grandpa manager . I could run that place w my eyes closed. It isnt that hard to just be nice. I'm done w Dumhams. They suck!

Spend your money elsewhere. Over priced on 90% of items. Only good buys are sales or coupons. Creates anti gun policy and tries to pass of as "state law". You can't dry fire guns and they have the absolute highest prices on them anywhere.

I had a return here and I had just got a waist band thing for the gym and the zipper broke on it and I didn't have the receipt or the box because it was at home. manager Rachel was very very rude and she kept saying that I was arguing with her when Eli another employee told me that it would be fine then she said he is not a store manager and he does not know what he is doing!!!! So I will never ever step foot at Dunham's again,plus there prices are always way over priced!!!

This is the second time I have went there planning to purchase exercise and fitness equipment only to walk out empty handed. 1st time I was told that they didn't have any of the item that was on display in stock but it could be ordered, if I wanted to order it I would have stayed home and shopped online. 2nd time same thing again display item was not in stock, but I decided I would have it ordered only to find out their distribution center didn't have any and I couldn't order it. Again another lost sale. Very disappointed in this store.

It's a really good place to get certain things you need. Kayaks, kayak accessories stuff like that. In the Mount Vernon area they have a lot of competition and fishing equipment go to Walmart. Or rendlake sporting goods. I don't do all my shopping there but I'm thankful for what I buy from there cuz they have it. I guess it just depends on what you're into.
