I visited this charming place with my friends this fall, and despite the post-summer lull, we were warmly greeted by the owner, who turned out to be an incredibly sweet lady. The atmosphere was inviting, and the owner's personal touch made our visit memorable. She generously allowed us to sample various candies, adding to the delightful experience. The cleanliness of the establishment was impressive, and the attention to detail in the decor was evident. Overall, a great place with a fantastic owner, making it a must-visit for anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming environment. Note: the pickle cotton candy is like no other 😱😱

Best Ice Cream In Town!!!Cute little store that has amazing customer service and delicious baked goods. It's a great time to buy a treat like a milk shake and sit outside to enjoy the weather. Parking lot is small and a bit tight because of the businesses next door, but it fine. The best part it's off the major road so very convenient.

Roxie's is the best!I called last minute for a custom birthday cake and they were so kind and accommodating!!I regret not grabbing any other sweets when I picked up my order but I will most definitely be returning for more!My husband loved his cake!! It was beautiful and absolutely delicious!!

We recommend you try the following flavors: Lemon, Mint Chocolate Chip, Salty Carmel, Peanut Butter Fudge, Cookies n' Cream, and Coffee Espresso! All of them have just the right amount of sweetness and are the perfect refreshment on a hot day!

Another year and Roxie’s has done it again. Their skill on making cakes has gone through the roof not to mention the assortment of other candies and goods you can get inside the store on a daily (chocolate bacon) trust me. I think I found my little secret shop in a small town doing great things.

Love it when you enter a shop with zero expectation and end up getting blown away. All I wanted was something cold and sweet after a hot day under the sun but the ice cream here was really good! Generous serving and just really good waffle cone.The star was the Razeo ice cream. Raspberry and Orea flavor. My fav was Cookies and Cream because who isn't! But some days you want to have a fruity ice cream, but end up thinking, I miss my C&C. This Razeo solves the dilemma for me. Can't wait go go back! Love hiking at Starved Rock even more now :-p

I called Roxie about a special order of cupcakes. The cupcakes are large in size, have a rich orange color that shows there is real carrot, the filling is ample, and for a finishing touch she put small orange sprinkles. Too good to share.

Can only give a 4* rating because I had a craving for soft serve and was drawn in by the display outside (see photo). Was informed they don't have soft serve on the menu. Had a scoop of black cherry which was excellent. Great selection of vintage candy, modern treats and all for a reasonable price.

Visited in June 2021. The most excellent ice cream I’ve had in years. “Working Cow” was the best flavor ever. Very cute shop with delicious looking candies. Friendly staff. Skip Culver’s & take your family here for a sweet treat if you’re visiting Starved Rock State Park.

Very cute place. Affordable. Friendly ownerand staff. We went in with 21 teenagers at the end of a field trip. The students were happy with the selection and the ice cream was a hit. This will be a regular stop when I go to Starved Rock.

This place was a pleasant surprise! My sister and two sons stopped in after our hike at Starve Rock. Roxie waited on us and was very helpful. She allowed us to sample almost all of her homemade ice cream, which was delicious! We settled for the blueberry pie which was to die for!! We bought the homemade chocolates and the kids even got a little something something too! Roxie was so nice and friendly if we ever come back she will always be on our list of places to go.

Visited on the way home from Starved Rock which was smart, as my family did not have to worry so much about calories! Roxie's is a very affordable sweets shops, so much that we let the children each get a snack for the ride home, and a treat for later.The cashier and other staff members were polite and glad to tell us which items were handmade, so my wife and I could pick ourselves special treats. They even told us how long ago each thing was made, so we would know how fresh it was and how long it would keep (like that's a problem with how good everything was!)The kids loved the ice creams! Everything looked great they had trouble deciding. The chocolate covered pretzels were supposed to be a "later" treat and did not make them home, the kids thought they were too good to wait for. Kids also had fun building their own pixie sticks. This is a great place to stop before a long ride home, thank you again for the great service!

I have been here a few times already and will come back every time I visit the state parks nearby. Their cashew clusters are to die for. In the summer they have a little back yard where you can eat your ice cream and it really feels like you're in someone's backyard. It's just very homey. Service is fantastic. Also they have dog treats. 10/10 would recommend

I love this place! If your in the area and want a sweet treat with friendly staff go to Roxie's! Her homemade fudge will change your life and she always has samples of EVERY flavor!!! It's not like most fudge cause it's soft and creamy. MUST TRY! She also has a large selection of ice cream, shakes and sundaes.

I happened upon this place after visiting Starved Rock and it was absolutely amazing! Roxie, the owner, was closing down shop but stayed open just for my group. She was an joy to speak with and her shop has tons of delicious goodies for just as sweet prices. I bought a milkshake, made in an old-fashion milkshake machine and a cup of fudge that had me close to tears of joy. I'm almost certain that this place is a manifestation of a dream I had when I was six. It is a must stop for any family visiting. Overall wonderful experience!

We met a very sweet lady when we went there after hiking! She was friendly and patient with our indecisiveness about the flavors. The scoops are generous in size :) We will defineitly go back any time we hike in the area!

Great place for ice cream, when we go to Starved Rock we always stop there. The only downside to that is the closing time...they close early every day. Also, be aware if you ask for a small cup...they will charge you for that too...but the ice cream is great.

I absolutely loved this place. The two ladies were inviting and entertaining. They gave me so much attention and allowed me to take these photos.They had some GREAT truffles, my favorite was the banana split truffle, mmmmmmm. They also had a bunch of old school candies, the candy cig! Lol.They had all kinds of flavored fudge too.I encourage you to try this place out. It's pretty fantastic!!!!
