Drivers this is the place to take on goods. Good selection of can goods and quick fixes. Also a great selection of fresh fruit and produce. Be sure to check the deli section. I highly reccomend the home made chicken pot pies. I'm 65 yrs and these pies are the best I have ever had.

The store is brand new! It's kind of hard initially finding what you need, as even they attendants and staff who work there are still figuring the layout themselves. I expect very soon it'll be easy navigation through the store once everyone settles. Prices are what you'd expect, this isn't Walmart so don't expect to pay bare minimum prices. The deli here, in my opinion, will rival that of any store, if not outright beat them. They had a massive selection of pastas, meats, homemade meals, cheeses, desserts, etc and the deli itself runs probably 40-50 feet long so it's pretty big.

If you are local and need something quick then the variety is pretty good for a smaller town but the prices are absolutely ridiculous even with inflation how it is now! One example: Store brand brown sugar was two dollars more than at the DG. A regular sized box of cereal is around six bucks, again way cheaper at the DG. If you have time, the gas it takes to go to walmart (in my 25 year old Chevy truck) is worth it for the difference in prices. Besides that the staff all seem nice, helpful, and the place does contribute to the local economy so if you got it like that then spend away.

I bought 30 pieces of fried chicken for our family dove hunt today. It was the best!Everyone enjoyed it and it was cooked perfectly and not over salted. We will definitely get this again.Also, everyone is always so friendly in the deli and the store.Thank you Tuscola Kirby Foods.

What a great grocery store! We were in town for a wedding and the only meal options were fast food or places with too much food so we opted to check out Kirby Foods. We purchased a rotisserie chicken and some sides and ate it in the hotel dining room. It was perfect and was quite affordable. We also needed an OTC med and were able to purchase the generic version for even more savings. So grateful we didn't have to drive 30 minutes to find a grocery store/pharmacy. Employees were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. If we lived in the area, this is definitely where we'd shop.

Why does their ground beef turn brown when it has a good due date? I purchased 4 packages on 9/7/23 and sell date was 9/8/23. Left packages in sack in refrigerator until night of 9/8 and all but one had turned brown. Who wants to cook and eat a hamburger that is brown before it hits the pan. Won't be buying anymore from them.Prices are high except when there is a sale.

The store is neat and clean and the staff are nice and friendly. However, the prices are absolutely highway robbery! If it was not for being sick and having to get some bread lunch meat for my child, I would not have bought anything there! I refuse to spend my money wherever they are price gouging people. And the older folks who don't drive much or those without cars are being unfairly overcharged for food that they can get A LOT cheaper at other grocery stores. The problem is that it is the only one in Tuscola, which is a shame!

This is a brand new store and when you first pull in the lot and walk in the door the facility is beautiful. BUT…get beyond the newness and you’ll find mostly empty shelves and highly overpriced items. The selection was dismal and even the meat counter had “fresh seasoned” meat cuts that looked like they’d been sitting out for several days.This was our first and probably last visit unless it’s an emergency and even then the truck stop might be a better option. Sorry Kirby…this is a fail!

The Store is Much Better than the previous, thats a given. Lots of merchandise to choose from. Only 2 complaints from me, #1 the staff ,not all of them , but a lot of them , were rude, unfriendly, we tried to ask a question and staff no smile, hardly even speaks, just uncomfortable, # 2 the prices are expensive, on everything. Unless its a marked down item or a sale on a particular item. I realize we have inflation and stuff going on in the real world with our economy and government, but its a small town, and theres lots of small towns nearby that shop for the convenience of Tuscola,.. but id rather spend the extra $ 5.00 and drive to Champaign, Savoy, and Mattoon, to shop, at Aldies, Ruler Foods, and Wal-Mart, to save money on our groceries. Personally i only go to Kirby in Tuscola or Arthur once in a blue moon, cause of the ungodly prices, and some of the unfriendly staff. Other than that, i think the store is well stocked, clean and organized, and have a lot of choices to choose from, thats a plus ‼️😊

Super awesome. We were looking for someplace to eat other than fast food. Most restaurants close at 3 pm. We found the IGA plus and worth so thankful. The food from the deli was so good. Delicious Fried Chicken homemade mashed potatoes and gravy green beans potato salad dinner rolls so so delicious the staff was awesome.

This is a great small town grocery store. You may not find the lowest cost here on all things but it has a great selection for the small town that it's in and it has a fantastic meat selection. The fact that they have their own butcher here still keeps the cost of the meat down, much like an old style grocery store. Frankly I wish there were more small-town grocery stores like this left around the country.I have been going to this grocery store on and off ever since I was a small child and it hasn't changed a lot over those years. They even still ask you if you want paper or plastic when you go to check out.

my son, almost 22yrs old went here to get items for dinner, one of the items was beer, they refused to sell to him because his brother was with him...So we are discriminating now? If I was in there with my son I'd have no problem but my son can't have that same right? Kirby foods can pick and choose who they can and cannot sell alcohol to? On what basis? Age? More "older" "mature" people buy for minors than younger LEGAL AGED people! I am talking to a lawyer. Who are they to decide who is and isn't honest? I called them and they said they could loose their license if they sold to a minor...well duh yeah...but he isn't a minor....

Not a pleasant experience. At least 3 buckets collecting dripping water. The ceilings were covered with water spots and black mold. The floors were dirty and tiles missing all over the place. Whole freezer sections turned off. Freezer burned products in the working freezers. Sections of missing wall and floor on the front end. Yet despite all this the prices were higher than at higher end clean grocery stores aka Schnucks, County Market, Meijer etc.

I don't like the layout of the store, they don't carry the lunch meat I use to get at the old store, I talked to some guy when they 1st opened and I let him know I was very disappointed, he said he would try to get the meat in, and they still haven't, So Walmart you will still be getting my business even if it's still 45 minutes away from me. Sorry Kirby foods.

Tuscola is fortunate to have such a nice grocery store! Their meat and produce are some of the best in the area. They have a good selection of beer, wine and hard liquor. This store is always clean and never cluttered. It is easy to shop and you can pick up your groceries curbside. Checkouts are fast and the cashiers are always friendly.

I love our hometown IGA.We shop the sales ads and their prices are very competitive especially compared to wally world. Never a long wait, great selection and knowledgeable staff. Best of all its not a long drive or a 10 min walk across the parking lot.

They've clearly done a lot of upgrades to this store since I moved away and stopped being a regular customer, but they've also passed those prices on to the customer. A lot of their stuff is priced so high it approaches convenience-store pricing. Also, I miss the big salad bar.
