This may be the best small town grocery store anywhere. I visited today and was greeted by the huge smile and welcoming words of Jackson, a special needs young man sporting an employee of the month pin on his collar. The produce was beautiful - large peaches and plums, fresh cherries, flawless cauliflower, melons, peppers, and more, everything I needed. Kelly's Butcher Shop provides the meats, poultry and deli. They have Boars Head deli meats and cheeses, fried chicken, potato salad, and more. There's a good-sized liquor section with a variety of wines and beers. There's also a walk-in beer cooler for bulk beer if you're having a party. There's a nice dairy section, frozen foods, pantry staples, cleaning supplies, all the basics. They can't carry every brand a huge supermarket has, of course, but I was able to find what I needed. The store recently opened so checkout staff are still figuring a few things out. Everyone is nice and the store is clean and well-appointed. I'll be a regular.

Fantastic store, filled with helpful and knowledgeable staff. Amazing setup with lightup shelves. The whole place is 1000 times nicer than the average grocery store! Huge thanks go to the GM Lisa for always making this place the number 1 go-to shop. Highly recommended!

1st time shopping here and will be going here alot it's weird to say a grocery store is gorgeous but it is. Love the colors and atmosphere! Extremely clean and lots of variety that beats Schnucks and Dierbergs prices and you cannot forget Kelly's Butcher Shop. The best butcher and prices around. Thanks for bringing a great store back to Troy!

Love love LOVE this place! Moved to Troy about a year ago and found this gem. Food has always been great, and staff friendly and helpful. After meeting their manage Lisa, I understand why. Also make sure you check out Kelly's Butcher Shop located on premises. Oh and their cooked items are in my weekly rotation. DEFINITELY recommend!

Milk has 4 days to expiration, all the way to the back of the shelf. I know for a fact Prairie Farms comps for outdated when they deliver as I've managed retail grocery so I guess just habitual greed behavior because why? Then up at the checkout, the cashier (yay for her) finds the cap is leaking but it's somehow my job to both take it to the dairy stocker and find a (another close dated) replacement. I'm already on the clock shopping for a client. She doesn't pay me to work for Pete's. Not a great experience tbh. Upped it to 3 stars because typically it's a little more mid than this lower end day of shopping.

Friendly Staff and great prices. The shelves have underlighting, which is a nice touch. It is so nice to have a neighborhood grocery store that is competitively priced with the large chain stores but more convenient.I plan to order some fried chicken and deli sides for supper later this evening.

I've officially stopped calling this Super Valu so I feel like I can review it now. Good freaking job, owners! The layout is similar but the quality is so much better. They always have what I'm looking for and have the cool, walk-through fridge. The stocking is obviously done often and the employees are so sweet. They do tell you when they're shorthanded in the deli which I appreciate the acknowledgement. I've never been disappointed at Pete's and I will definitely be going back. They have carts, baskets, and those cute little carts for kids. Haven't used the restrooms.

I was very pleasantly surprised by my first visit to Pete’s. The store is incredibly clean, and the backlit shelves are awesome. The associates were friendly and helpful. I was pleased to find a great selection of gluten free items, especially for a small town grocer. They had an item that I’ve been unable to find in other, larger stores or national chains. Wonderful addition to Troy!

Stopped in for the first time last weekend and it’s a great store! I was greeted by Jackson who is a very sweet young man. They have a great selection of produce as well as a great deli. So happy to have a store close to my home to shop at that isn’t the craziness of Walmart. All the employees are very nice. I did not run into anyone who was rude or acted like they didn’t want to be there. I will definitely be going back for my grocery needs!

It’s not perfect but the staff is friendly, and so long as you aren’t looking for some unique item or specific brand, Pete’s probably has what you want at a reasonable price (considering it’s a small town store). Some prices are higher than other stores but they have specials on things that offset that.Troy definitely needs a grocery store and Pete’s is important to the community.

I'm so happy there is a grocery store in Troy again! They do have some inventory issues to work out, but I'm sure that is the same with a lot of places during Covid. The team is super friendly, and they are even taking suggestions on what items to carry to better suit the needs and wants of the community. They have earned a repeat customer!

The store is beautifully arranged. It was a soft opening yesterday so the shelves aren't full and there are some missing prices on some items. The alcohol selection is large and will be even bigger when their stock is full.Troy needed a grocery store, Pete's Market is filling that void. I was hoping to be able to do my groceries shopping here but some prices are steep. I will though, support Pete's Market but I'll have to continue shopping at other stores for lower prices. The owners of Pete's Market invested in Troy and they deserve the support of the community.

Nice and very clean store. Loved the products they had and everything was fresh. Didn't see much of organic produce or grass-fed meat but we were also trying to hurry at the same time. Their take on the fried chicken was amazing. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. It wasn't as busy as at Schnucks or Dierbergs and their prices were lower and reasonable. The holiday items were amazing.

There are so many things to be excited about Pete's Market. First of all the butcher's shop is excellent. I bought my Turkey and Ham for Christmas at Kelly's Butchers and it was hands down the best turkey and ham I've ever bought. Second, I stopped by the wine section and it's incredible to find such a great selection in our home town. I don't find the prices to be any higher than Dierbergs or Schnucks and the convenience of shopping in Troy can't be beat. Thanks for giving us great options!

Superb selection and very reasonable prices. I'm so thankful to have a small business owned grocer to shop at to avoid the chains that buy out the competition. Every employee has been nothing but amazing.

If you need meat and you are in a hurry and have only enough time to stop at one store for your groceries, don't stop here. Everything else has been fine, but twice now the meat has been graying and close to expiring. The butcher steak cuts as well as the prepackaged (i.e. Johnsonville ect...) I did not take a close look at the deli meat, fyi. If you have the time/inclination to make multiple stops, you can stop in and check how it's looking, but I wouldn't hold my breath for fresh cuts. I don't know, maybe we've just been unlucky, but I'm not impressed with the meat dept.

The cashiers cannot even work a cash register, and have 0 brains in their body. That was probably one of the most dumbing incidents I’ve seen, and I left their feeling like they were literally trying to steal MY belongings. This place is messed up, and not worth risking your money being stolen

Pete’s hosted their grand opening event today, we stopped by with our two toddlers and what a generous event they hosted for the community! Free samples, hot dogs and brats, games for the kiddos with prizes, face painting and ice cream truck. All the staff were so friendly and went above and beyond. Our kiddos had an awesome time and we appreciate Pete’s offering this for us fo enjoy! We’ll be sure to shop local to support their business!
