Disc golf course review only. This course was fun to play once and is a nice course for those that live in the community. This is a beginners course with short fairways. There are technical and open fairways but the technical ones aren’t what one would expect with trees and such. This course is set up in and around a community park of many activities. The fairways wrap in and around baseball diamonds, batting cages, tennis courts, basketball courts, playground equipment, picnic structures and more. The baskets are brand new Dynamic Disc baskets and there are two baskets per each of the nine tee pads. Reds baskets are short while blues are long. Tee pads are grass/dirt and some of  the pads are marked with little survey flags. Signage is new looking and in good shape. There was a large sign at the beginning of the course showing the entire park and layout of the holes. Each pad was also marked with a newer looking sign showing pin placements and distances. There were no “Next Tee” sign but this wasn’t needed here; you shouldn’t get lost though it was a trek between two and three and finding four’s tee pad was tricky since you have to walk to the other side of a tennis court to get to it. Based on the money used (sponsorships) on the signage and baskets, I imagine the community has plans to put in some type of tee pad in the future. Fairways were mowed and there was little to no trash. Upkeep of this course is great and should be, considering all that goes on at this park. My group was passing through the area to play other courses and we decided to stop here. I wouldn’t recommend driving over 20 minutes out of your way to play here but if you live in the area, this course can be fun to play, especially if you want to get better at using putters and midranges. Avoid playing here if there any events happening where there are large amounts of people or you could be shouting “four” on every hole or waiting for people to pass by. Could just be a waste of time otherwise since the course isn't exclusively for disc golf. Time to play was 30 minutes for 3 of us to play only the red positions.  Despite the name of the course and the nearby river, water does not come into play on this course. It would be very hard to lose a disc here. Might even be a good place to play glow rounds depending on how late the park is open.

Disc golf, basketball courts, horse shoe area, picnic shelters, and a small playground in the area! Well kept. We didn't get to do the entire disc golf course as the sprinkling turned to a full rain, but we liked what we saw!

Well kept park with river for fishing and camping baseball fields and fairgrounds wide open areas good for people and pets.Playground and restrooms weather permitting.Restrooms may close during winter.Easy access to river and walk path.

Kids love the purple and gold playground! It also includes batting cages, baseball diamonds, tennis courts, basketball courts and heated bathrooms.! Great job Pecatonica!

The course is not my cup of tea. It's in a park playground setting with baseball fields and picnic shelters. If it is crowded and kids around you will have a better chance of hitting them than an ace. Nice baskets though

No complaints, we were there for a HS softball game. Field was nicely maintained and also well-designed. It has newer fencing, enclosed areas for pitching warm-ups and nice bleachers. Kind of felt like being on an island when you looked past the outfield fence. The water was very close! Made a quick drive through the area on the way out, nice facility.

We have our family reunion here every year. The park is always clean, the grills are big and wonderful to use, and we've always gotten good service from the park staff when we ask for the permit.

Two playgrounds, for different ages. Fun! CLEAN, and in good repair. Quiet, a little off the beaten path. Nice bench areas, most shaded. Great family park.

It's been 20+ years since last I visited. So many changes have been made that I don't recognize Pecatonica most area. I suppose it didn't help much that it was pitch black condition.

Rented a pavilion for my daughters baby shower. We had plenty of room, air condition, tables, chairs, and a kitchen. It was a perfect place for the shower.

Prairie Trail Path runs through this park. This is a great park with outdoor basketball court, baseball diamonds, and playground for small children.
