Went there 3 times this last month. If you don't mind standing waiting to order, then waiting to get it. This is the place for you. The redeeming quality, is the ice cream is rich and creamy. Much better than last year. They have a great chicken sandwich.It has new owner. Food and icecream was wonderful.

Nice that the small town has a place like this for the community. We wanted a taste of ice cream. Got 2 malts, but they were too sickening sweet to even drink. Waste of $17 for us.

Love this place! Hate that they close in the winter, but it just peaks our anticipation for the re-open. Burgers are always top-notch, better than any other place for sure. Wide variety of other stuff to go along, great fries, ice cream treats. A must-go all summer!

Bear's is very affordable. And the ice cream and food is very good. YesI only have the banana splits, but I've seen the food that comes out of this small kitchen. The staff is young kids that really take pride in their work. Stop by and see for yourself. U will be glad you did. Hurry they are only open til 8pm. And they close for the season in October I think.

The food is made fresh while you wait so you food takes a little longer to get but is well worth the wait.I had an Italian beef with everything and can tell you it was one of the best I have had.

First of all, they don't take credit or debit, so bring cash if you're from out of town. :)The bf and I came hungry and ready to eat. We ordered a peanut butter malt, a chocolate malt, a soda, Mozzarella sticks, a double cheeseburger with bacon, and a mushroom and Swiss burger. Oh! And a little bit of chili to throw on the cheeseburger.The bf was very pleased with his malt, as I was with mine. Not too malty, if you know what I mean, but definitely there. The burgers were a good size. The meat was a frozen patty, I'm pretty sure, but didn't affect the experience. Doesn't matter to me, but some people really care about that stuff. The Mozzarella sticks were lil smokie size, but you get a decent handful of them. The sauce is a pizza sauce, which was awesome as far as I'm concerned. The bf said the chili was good, with lots of flavor.The only thing I might have had an issue with would be the soda. The mix was weak, and as such tasted a little too soda water for us. However, I asked the very friendly staff to throw a couple pumps of vanilla flavoring in there, and they gladly did so. Made it much better. :)All in all an excellent experience: )

We got a bacon cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, and cheese fries. Both sandwiches were just okay. The fries were pretty great though. I also couldn't order a diet soda, because their machine wasn't working.

Always enjoy stopping and getting something to eat when traveling by. They are closed during the winter months because all seating is outside. Great family drive-in place with great people and food.

Affordable best darn ice cream in Illinois friendly staff lots of kids come here after softball practice so it gets a little busy but the wait is worth it
