App was broken, and wouldn't let me clip my deals. Phone number at checkout didn't give me sale prices either. Pleasant lady "suspended" the sale and brought me to a different checkout area to resolve. Took way too long, but I eventually got sale prices.Separately, my words to the young man at first checkout line were, "Please be gentle with my bananas." I should have refused to buy them when I saw him toss them down the belt. When I unpacked them at home they were covered with bruises and brown spots. The tomato I bought has a puncture hole on the side. This experience is pretty consistent, mainly with the young people at checkout. I'm tired of paying good money for produce I've carefully selected, only to have it damaged at checkout. (I have mobility challenges that make using self checkout difficult.)Freshway in Genoa respects my requests about taking care my produce. I may start buying all my produce from them.

I love going to this jewel. They have a lot of different things here i cant find at other stores and its super convenient to stop there. They have really good deals on meats and seafood. Their cuts of salmon are superb and very well priced. The bakery is excellent and has a wide range of items. They often have free cookies sonit helps me keep my composure when i am shopping after work.

So we purchased 3 T-Bones on Dec 31, 2023 for our New Years Dinner on Jan 1,2024. Brought them home and immediately put them in the refrigerator. I worked all day on Jan 1.2024 and when it was time to make dinner I took the steaks out of refrigerator. They were never open or just sitting out. I was shocked to find they were green in some places and tan in others.I took the steaks back and was told by a nasty young man, that the butcher told them you had to eat them the SAME day to be good!!These were not labeled “managers special!”I had to order food for our dinner tonight. THANKS SYCAMORE JEWEL FOR RUINING OUR HOLIDAY DINNER!!PS. I called another Jewel and they laughed at what I was told because it was so absolutely ridiculous!! NEVER WILL I SPEND ANOTHER DIME AT THE SYCAMORE JEWELEdited When I went into this store to get my refund for the bad steaks, there was a woman returning a roast she had purchase THAT day which was spoiled.Buyer beware

Came with my daughter for cheap chicken Monday at 6pm and they told me they were done making potato wedges and just a few pieces of dry fried chicken where available. Had no intention of refreshing items. I will not be returning to this jewel due to the service I received at the deli department. Will be reaching out to management.

This has to be one of the worst jewel I have ever been too. Make sur you check dates on every you buy . Just bought some pie that was almost a year old . This isn't the first time either, worst quality control

Nice store. Well kept and has everything we need. Most managers are very friendly but not all because they seem over stretched most of the time due to not having enough staff. Prices are fairly high.

At checkout there was an elderly lady who just needed someone to talk to. The cashier was very attentive to this lady’s needs and listened patiently and compassionately. The cashier should be commended for being kind and caring. I thanked her when it was my time to be checked out. Excellent reason to have more cashiers and fewer self checkouts.

Nice people work here.Trying to get on the meat managers good side to get the tomahawk steaks cut again.Shelves are full of options. Trying to get use to the one way traffic in store due to social distancing 2020.Alot of respect to even the customers for putting their carts in the return stall that shows customers respect not only other customers property but the store employees can do other essential duties with our help.Thanks everyone for asking if we have found everything we were looking for every single time.The Larry the cable guy dinner was a hit with the kids.

Matt in the bakery exceeded every expectation that I had. He was so friendly on the phone, help me pick a layout for my sons birthday cake and truly you just don’t find genuine kindness these days and I really appreciate him and his help! Thank you Matt!!

Always put sales ip but not in system, force you to use self checkout by keeping one lane open, and then you have to wait 5 min to help to buy the items you thought were on sale but the system stem rings up full price.

Drove to Jewel to get a roast beef because I couldn't find it near my home. Took 45 minutes but worth it. Bought more than I wanted too but again it's worth it. Nice clean store. Lots of good sales and prices were high but cheaper than the Oregon area. Friendly and helpful employees.

Check expiration dates on food before you buy it!! I couldn't believe how many packages in the frozen section were past their expiration dates. I was in the plant based burger section. Needless to say, I put it all back. I did like their organic vegetable section.

Prices are a bit more expensive than other grocery chains in the area but they are consistent in that they always carry the top brands.The organic section is pretty well stocked. You can find most fruits, nuts, and vegetables pretty much any day of the week. Occasionally this store will feature local produce but that more the exception rather than the norm. The bakery and deli are really good here as well.This particular location also features a Starbucks inside.

Yes the prices are a little higher than Wally-World but you have a much better selection here.Best Fresh Produce in DeKalb County. Deli also very good, I measure the bakery on quality of bread and it's only OK here.

Stopped in to pick up a prescription and decided to do some shopping.Pharmacy doesn't carry bills larger than $10, got $84 change for $100 in 5s and 10s.Went to the service desk to exchange for larger bills and was told they don't have currency at the service desk.At check out 2 items from the discount shelf were not discounted.Band-Aids had a sign with the discounted price but the register rang the full price, rice cakes rang up with full price (no sign but several packages were on the shelf).Last time we will shop at this overpriced store.We'll go the extra distance to the Jewel in DeKalb, wonderful fruit and vegetable selection.

Always my favorite Local Grocery Store. If you hunt and shop the deals/sales, use their app, and focus on value, there is no cheaper option in the market. Their online delivery ap also offers great deals. Don't forget to get the coupons from pharmacy for 20% off your grocery cart, as they can save you a bundle!

Great shopping experience - we don't get there often but it is nice to have access to different brands and deals. And there were lots of deals! We should mix Jewel into our grocery routine a little more frequently.

Could barely breath in store told mangerthey said its been like this for days all my groceries smell and tastes like smoke my kids don't deserve to taste smoke and not be able to breath at a store if u can't not have a store filled with smoke u need to close. Or do something about it u can see smoke coming out of the front doors unacceptable

1st time in this store and it was nice and organized. Items weren't out of place. I can actually see the prices of the water (at the other location the case of water is blocking the price). Even though everything was organized the placement of food and non food items weren't separate like other locations.

Got my 2nd shingles shot today because Jon Neely called to remind me. He is also the one who gave me the shot … he is always smiling and upbeat every time I come to the pharmacy. I really appreciate how friendly everybody at this pharmacy is … they are focused on good outcomes! Also, I do like the 10% coupons I get for shopping at jewel every time I get a immunization! Good combo!

Many many good people here, but thank you Ass’t Mgr Barb on Jewel side, and Pharmacy Manager Deborah Franchi, Pharm.D on the Osco side. You and your staff are real pro’s and you all do so very much to make customers feel that they’ve been served 😊😇

I haven't been in a Jewel Osco Shopping Center since I left McHenry Co. little over 2yrs ago. I was in DeKalb Co. when I stopped in, all I can say is I was shocked to see the vast difference between the Grocery stores here in Winnebago Co. compared to the Jewel Osco off Peace Rd. Freshness, Display is beyond compare to any Grocery store in Rockford, the Cleanliness, Uncluttered Ailes, a Starbucks store w/in, Employee attentiveness w/sincere effort and kindness- all aforementioned beyond compare to any Grocery Stores in Rockford. Will admit Jewel Osco has always been much more expensive than any other Grocery Store I've ever shopped in. Deli serves Boars Head Brand which is truly the best processed Deli meats money can buy, seriously no other Brand comes close. Found it to be a pleasure to have the opportunity to once again shop @ Jewel. Self Check out lanes are quick and there's no incredibly frustrating long lines when your ready to pay. Too bad Rockford doesn't have this Franchise.

Everyone who works here is friendly toward the customers. I have been pleased by many employees asking if I need help finding something. Last Thursday afternoon, a young female employee helped me in the paper towel aisle. I appreciated it because some of the multi- packs had toppled onto the floor and I needed ones from the top shelf.

I know it's hard to hire good staff in today's world , but the young lady working the meat counter on Friday 5/20 at 2pm was exceptionally poor. Her dislike of me troubling her was painfully obvious. If you have to hire unhappy people, keep them away from paying customers please.

I was looking for Round Steak to make Braciole Bolognesi. I needed rather large in diameter steaks cut to 1/2" thick. A very nice woman asked if I needed help. I explained to her what I was looking for. She and the Butcher procured EXACTLY what I needed. He even suggested "cubing" the steaks to make my preparation simpler. These two employees "did their store proud"! They were professional, courteous and fun! From now on....all of my beef, pork and chicken will come from my new friends at Jewel's Meat Department.

Went to get a dozen donuts for my daughter's breakfast for the week, and sign posted on door where you get donuts said $6.00 for a dozen so I picked her out the ones she really likes and went to the checkout. At the checkout the lady there says that will be 10.48, and I stood there like what are you talking about the sign says $6.00 for a dozen donuts, she tells me that this price is for prepackaged donuts, not individual donuts. So I'm very frustrated at this point get home with my overpriced donuts and call manager there at Jewel and told her what had happened and she says bring in your receipt and we can give you back the difference. Here's a thought make sure your employees are properly trained. Sign says $6.00 for a dozen doesn't say prepackaged or individually pick out dozen.

Horrible service, in every reguard. The teenagers working there are lovely. The adults are vile. The woman in the bakery berated my sister for trying to order their "Better Cream" frosted cake, which is offered at every other Jewel. The check on lanes are rarely every open, but if you buy produce you will almost always be required to wait for assistance at self check out. The deli options are always spoiled and the rotisserie chicken's are gangly and creepy looking. Just go to the Jewel in Dekalb. It's cleaner, and the people who work their will treat you like a human being.Edited to add: I forgot to mention their horrible pharmacy. They fail to bill my insurance every single time I pick up my prescription, and charge me the out of pocket price for my asthma medicine. I've been refused life sustaining medication more than once. I just go to walgreens instead now.
