The best employees and in stock for all your hardware needs. I recently remodeled a rental unit and purchased things like grass seed and paint gallons. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. I use the Ace app to earn points towards rewards and to score great discounts and coupons. This Ace has been a blessing to Sugar Grove.

It's been a wonderful experience everytime I've shopped here. The entire staff is always very friendly and helpful. I'm also pleased with line of higher quality foods they carry in the pet section.

After shopping and supporting my local Ace for years that was my last time shopping in the store. I looked up real quick the items I was going to buy and another store had the same things for about 13 dollars cheaper. When I got to the register they said they don't price match. I understand it is at participating locations but get with the times. Its 2022 and by not doing it you lost a loyal customer. I wish them well but I will drive the extra five minutes to save money.

Received a $300 Weber grill purchased at this store for a wedding gift from an out of state guest. We live a few hundred miles from this store and already have a really nice grill. A gift receipt accompanied this grill so we took it to a local Ace Hardware to return. We were told by the local Ace Hardware that it needed to be returned to the Ace Hardware where it was purchased. I told the local store that the store where it was purchased was a few hundred miles away. They didn’t care. I called Ace Corporate and they told me there was nothing they could do. I called the out of state Ace Hardware where it was purchased and they told me to drive a few hundred miles and they would gladly return it. Had the grill been purchased on-line we could have returned it but because it was purchased in one store and trying to be returned at another, we are out of luck. I am normally a huge supporter of buying local and supporting small businesses but here is an example of where doing so can bite you. Both of these independently owned and operated stores was more concerned about tying up $300 In inventory as opposed to making a customer happy. I would have been more than happy to accept in-store credit, but neither offered it as a possible solution to this problem. I won’t be shopping at Ace Hardware anymore.

This ACE hardware is indispensable in the Village of Sugar Grove and has the most helpful men and women, just as the advertising says. Dennis and his staff are always right there to offer help or find a solution to your home repair, home improvement or hardware needs. They will either find what you need or help you figure out a solution. They may not be the biggest or have a warehouse full of stuff, but most of the time, they have what you need, when you need it and without having to travel out of the area to get it. This is a store in our community that brings back the days of local stores that truly offered service and assistance with a smile and a friendly attitude. Highly recommended !!!

Tried to call about a Snowblower twice and was put on hold with no answer for several minutes each time. Finally I just purchased the machine on their website for store pick up since no one could answer my questions. After sitting there for 30 minutes I get a call telling me that the last one got sold...30 minutes ago.I would have just driven to the store two hours before this if they had picked up the phone.Won't bother trying to do business with this location again.Update: One day after Ace canceled my order and I still have a $1300 dollar charge on my account for an item I never even drove to Ace to see in person. I specifially asked the employee on the phone who canceled my order if I'd be charged and they told me I would not. They charged me and then treated it like a refund after THEY canceled. I will be escalating all of this to corporate and I have no desire to speak to the store's owner.What an embarrassment of a store.

Dennis and the rest of the team are always super helpful and knowledgeable. They have a great selection. I buy stihl products, mowers, lawn stuff, traeger accessories and anything else I need to keep our home maintained. What a great store to have in the grove!

They've got a pet-store side, too.I come here to get my keys made, and check out the discount bin frequently. And for some reason they carry cute socks! I was super happy about that. Anyways, when I come in I always ask where to find things because it makes it so much faster and folks are actually helpful. I go here whenever I don't have time to trek out to Harbor Freight.

I stopped in to see if they carried certain products I needed to fix up my patio furniture. I had a list of products that I did not know who carried them. I was greeted with a big hello and a couple employees came right to my assistance and made my life so easy by directing me to all the products I needed. Such a big help!

Haven't had any bad experiences until this past Thursday when we purchased 2 things with a coupon. Long story short, the coupon wasn't applied to our purchase. When it was brought up to the employee who checked us out we were told it was. After a back and fourth that was the final stance taken. We were also overcharged for a propane tank replacement when we only needed and received a refill. I only know this because I have different things that use tanks, so I mark them.Whole thing felt very petty, so I have no intention of going back.

Found what I wanted. Nice employees, as usual. Sorry there weren't any dogs in the store while I was there, I always enjoy when they have pet rescue events, and also when people bring their own dogs on a hardware shopping excursion.

Excellent customer service! I stopped in today to get a replacement part for a magnetic stick used to pick up shotgun hulls -- that I broke during an event at Aurora Sportsmen's Club down the road in Waterman. Gabe took the time to help me and made sure the bushing I bought fit, and helped me look for a few other items. I'll be back the next time I'm out that way.

Very convenient store to come to. Prices are obviously going to be higher than the big box stores. But you will be surprised that once in a while there will be a big ticket item on sale that's just as comparable to anywhere else.

Ace Hardware Sugar Grove is a great local hardware store. Staff is always knowledgeable and helpful. Always go there for hard to find items that the big box stores do not stock. Also have a well stocked grilling section.

Every item seems to be more expensive here than at any other store. The Ace website is not very good either. Each item I attempted to add to cart said was in store purchase only. Whats the point in even showing items on the website if we can only buy them in store? I dont go on website to browse and then just end up having to go into the store. Anyways I wont be back in store or online at this or any Ace.

Very helpful and friendly staff. I like going here to run in and run out instead of looking for an hour for something in the bigger stores, but I think most items are a little more expensive here. But this is the closest hardware store to me so I pay for the convenience I suppose.
