Woodhaven lakes is ideal to unwind, and have a nice getaway. They offer camping outdoors, and indoor cabins. They also have two swimming pools where you can soak up all your worries. Ideal for couples, friends, and super family friendly. Built great memories throughout the years of going there. It’s not about the camp fire wood burning it’s about who’s still around to see the fire burn. Thanks for all the memories !!

The deer were not a nuisance, they were an added adventure. Even let me follow them very slowly for a bit.I was there late in season, a friend has a permanent cabin there year-round, and it was still awesome and we were still able to swim, and it was a great place to relax and just enjoy.

Great place to relax during the week. Plenty of things to do for the kids on weekends.Playground: Playground all around the lakes, swimming pools, live music on weekends, miles of hiking paths, 7 lakes for fishing.Restrooms: Lots of restrooms scattered around the park. Clean and well maintained.Dog-friendliness: Four legged friends are welcome, but must be leashed.They could use a dog park to let them run.

I went here for a job to build a deck. I typically work on residential homes so this was new for me to work in work in a campground. There are a lot of beautiful deer in this park. Everyone that I came across was very laid back and friendly. There are at least 2 swimming pools, a rec center and a miniature golf course that looks pretty cool. It was a good experience working there, however I have to say that some of the areas in the park and some of the campsites could really use some upkeep.

We LOVE ♥️Woodhaven Lakes all year long! They always have plenty of amenities to entertain yourself. Wether is hot or cold. If it’s hot you can chill at the pools, if it’s snowing you can slide at the hills. We have a gym, library, comfort stations working all year long, two swimming pools, beach, multiple playgrounds. You can go fishing, for a nature walk with your dog, cook outdoors, make puzzles, color, take pictures, go treasure hunting or just explore in the woods. We have plenty of activities during regular season, and even if we don’t have common activities you can always find your place here. There’s a nature center where you can take your kids for learning. Participate on boat parades or just go for a boat ride, 5-10k marathons. You can rent a spot or buy a property giving you access all year long regardless Covid or weather conditions. You can watch movies indoors(common area) or at outdoor theaters, enjoy of outdoors concerts, and even religious activities for those seeking spiritual paths. We also have laundry service, market, hardware store, restaurant, tennis, basketball, volleyball, mini golf courts, security 24/7 and much more. Open and fast wifi hotspot access in common areas, which are always clean and Covid guidelines must be follow there for safety. Needles to say you will enjoy of great views and sunsets/sunrises.It’s a great place to visit with your family or friends. Staff is friendly and helpful, always willing to assist you, giving you a warm welcome home with a smile. The community is kind and respectful. You will always want to come back.

Love this privately owned campground the largest in Illinois. It's well maintained & something for every age. It also has security 24-7. Very nice staff. Call if you want to try before you buy option. Camping, swimming & lakes means fishing. Great weekend retreat or stay all summer long. Lots of activities.

Nice place to get away from it all. You must buy the land and pay a yearly assessment. Cheaper than most mobile home park because you can only have camping trailers or tents. Pools and lakes ,beach pavilion with dancing and other events. Teen center, ice cream, basketball, tennis,mini golf,restaurant, security, volleyball, boating,arts and crafts .

Great place to get away from the city life. There's lakes, pools, trails etc. Great place to be out doors & enjoy fresh air. You get to see lots of wild animals. If your a fishermen there's plenty of fish here. They have vending machines with bait if need be. Also a small store for drinks or small necessities.

A littlePiece of paradise. This is a private camping area, owners only. Very well Maintained, lots to do here. Something for everyone. They offer year round activities for the whole family to enjoy. On site realEstate office to show you around. 90 minutes from Chicago. Public safety protect the property here year round. 2 pools, a beach 9 fishing ponds, a laundry mat , a general store and a new bait shop to open soon.

Arrived Friday evening set up our campsite did a little work around the campsite then went fishing. We had a great time with my granddaughter my son and my daughter-in-law. we caught several fish but we catch and release. Relaxing weekend will be back again loved it.

A friend invited us and we stayed there it was so beautiful I love the birds I love the nature I love the animals it's an amazing place to escape it's not far from the Chicagoland area I would highly suggest if you know anybody who lives here go visit you might want to buy yourself it's beautiful

99% seasonal sites. Campground is not taken care of. Grass overgrown! Too many people in the pools, beach areas. Rude. Will never go back.

Great place for camping, and having a good time. You do have to own or know someone that owns a place to get in. Wood Haven has been around for my years and everytime I come back, I always a great time. It is about one and a half hours from Chicago. Wood Haven has two pools and a beach. Several different lakes for fishing.

I have been coming to Woodhaven since I was about 5 or 6 years old. I'm quite a bit older now. I have nothing but great memories of this place. I grew up here. There's a sense of family here and friendships here. I wouldn't trade growing up for anything!!!!!!Playground: The playgrounds are kept clean and safe for the children.Restrooms: Any restroom we went into were clean and safe.

Visited Section 5 on a lake. Had an absolutely wonderful time. Neighbors are friendly, the Sections are clean, and the campfire at nights were so peaceful. Our group also had a chance to play miniature golf, then get a huge scoop of ice cream after. It's such a great place to get away.

I have been going to Woodhaven off and on for almost fifty years as a young boy in the BSA- pic below- thru adulthood. Fun for all ages offering solitude and also a jumping good time on a Saturday night. Highly recommend it!....

not campground it is a private resort for mobile home owners and rvs that are mostly stationary, properties are owned by separate individuals,great place for your friend and family to grow and have fun safely away from the city and the daily norm, grows on you fast we love it
